No, that is conjecture. Weather is often the factor but, port decisions by the port authorities are also a factor. We just took a LA to Miami, through the Panama Canal cruise and were supposed to have an overnight in Panama City but the day before that, it was announced that we would not be doing the overnight and it was the port that decided it so, we anchored overnight. Folks that had ship excursions were refunded. Those with private tours were told to submit claims to Celebrity.

Look, all I am saying is that videos, depending when they are taken, can be as misleading as opinion and rumour. I find that this thread is full of speculation, accusation and innuendo. I have said early on, in this thread, that wait till the investigations by the proper authorities are over. Even out resident Captain agrees with that.

Videos without true context are as bad as rumours and opinion.

Food offerings? Shipboard schedule changes if port is missed happens all the time. Missed ports are not entirely on Celebrity. There can be many reasons. Blaming entirely Celebrity is misguided.

As I and others have said, speculation is fruitless. Witnesses are unreliable and the investigation will determine what happened. Some folks wold rather make accusations before they know the details. Oh and I too spend many winters in Hawaii.

And rife with speculations. I am just sayinfg that the investigation is yet to occur and the report will address the issue.As any investigator knows, 10 eye witnesses can have 10 different view points. 🙂

Do not over estimate access to the Bridge of a ship. All I am saying is it would be best to wait till the official report comes out.

I guess we will have to wait for the Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE), land department and coast guard to finish their investigation and report as opposed to local residents and tour guide comments.

Celebrity's (and other cruise lines too) "exciting deals", sales. deals. offers, promotions or whatever other name are the same yesterday as were 3 months ago, 6 months ago , one year ago etc etc. They just change the name but the deal remains the same 🙂

IO am glad to hear you say that. I too read reviews that wee far from glowing but attribute it to people overestimating what they were getting (or not getting).

02 January till 12 January. Aruba, Curacao and Bonairre with Grand Cayman thrown in . Been on Caribbean cruises a lot and those are 3 places we have not seen.

January. We finally got the whole clan together (well, a dozen anyway) after many decades and separated by a nation LOL

We booked the Eclipse (primarily for itinerary). We have been on Solstice twice, Reflection once and Equinox as well. Have been reading the reviews of Eclipse and they are quite varied from 2 stars to 4 stars. I know not everyone leaves a comment and many are reviewing just to complain. Are the reviews based on service? Food or the ship in general? Service, on all cruise lines is not the same as before. Sign of the times unfortunately. Food, well, that is the most debated (and heated sometimes LOL) topic on these forums on all lines. No shopping, no cooking, no cleaning up is all fine for me 🙂 So, that leaves the ship itself. Is it old? Rusty? Dirty? Falling apart? Furniture bad? Is the ship still nice?

IPhone 8 and below are no longer supported by Apple. The Celebrity App requires the latest IOS which is 17.

You need to clear the cookies and cache on your MacBook. They accumulate and slow things down and prevents pages from loading.

Thanks for the info. Sounds similar to the one on NCL. Sometimes works and sometimes not. Does it work with all types of phones? Android and Apple??

We were on NCL in January and they had an app that had a text communication portion. It seemed to only wr]k with IPhones. It was also a bit spotty. Not always working. Is the Celebrity app the same? It states "Remember to connect to the ship's Guest Wi-Fi once onboard to use all of the app's features, chat with family and friends,..." I did and the person said they cannot do that because there were too many people "sharing" the packages. I asked why they offer it and have both names on the choices and she did not know. 'Oh well, I will just pay as I go. 🙂

I am sorry if this has been answered. I did a search but could not find the answer. I am trying to get a drink package for one person. . Whenever I try, it checks off both passengers and says "All eligible adults in the stateroom will be charged for individual packages." My Wife does not (cannot) drink. Is there away to be able to get just one drink package?

Celebrity call centres are not easy to speak with. Long wait times and then often incorrect answers. Trying to get another cabin which shows empty on Celebrity site and well as several other sites and they say it is booked. It is not a one toime attempt but it had been showing empty for 4 days.... and still is today, 6 days later.

There are vegetarian dishes every day at the buffet and MDR. Kind of repetitive but they are repetitive and small vegetarian selections in every restaurant everywhere.
