  1. You can choose to share a table but it won't be with the same people for the duration of the cruise unless everyone at the table the first night coordinates it that way. Otherwise, you will be seated with different folks every night if you still choose to share. Sadly, the TD as we know it is no longer.
  2. If I remember correctly, there was a shootout right in the tourist shopping area where the seashell store is. The same thing happened in Acapulco, a shootout at the Hotels Flamingo which is part of an excursion. I had just been there the month before on a cruise. Sad they stopped going there but understand it.
  3. Actually, quite a few years ago, cruise ships stopped going to Mazatlan for quite a while because of drug cartel activity in the tourist areas.
  4. This is exactly how I felt for my Princess Cruise last month. I wore my mask everywhere the 9 days before the cruise but once on board, did not except where required for getting on/off the ship in the terminals. As others have said, one must do what they feel best for them.
  5. Those points are very true. I know that most of the drinks fall under the $12 price. I just hope they leave the Beverly Hills Iced Tea where it currently is. 😊 We'll have to see how it goes.
  6. When I booked my September cruise in February, I knew exactly what I was getting with the Plus Pkg but now with this new addition to the plan, and Princess more than likely raising the prices of the drinks, I will not be getting what I booked. Unless of course they stick to their word about not raising prices, then all is fine.
  7. I checked my Summary yesterday for my September cruise and it shows the same thing, Premier Drinks with Service Charge but at the Plus price so I'm confused which one it'll actually be.
  8. I always bring a small first aid kit and most important, medication in case of tummy trouble and cold/allergies. Itch cream for bug bites, etc. They will not carry Tums/Pepto in the gift shop and if you go to the medical center for it, they will quarantine you for possible Noro even though it's more likely from eating/drinking different than at home.
  9. There is no way the cruise lines are going to contact every person that leaves every sailing and tests positive for Covid. They can barely take care of the ones that get it on the ships and are in quarantine. We need to accept the risk we may get it while on the cruise or after or just not cruise. It's something that is going to be with us from now on, have to learn to live with it.
  10. I'm glad the OP got it worked out. If I'm certain I'll be keeping the booking, I always make my final payment a week before just in case there are any issues that may come up.
  11. Seems like wasted space to me and I would never put anything in there. Lol, you're right, not years but weeks. 😀
  12. I disagree. It's about personal responsibility. It's not sub par service if the steward doesn't check every nook & cranny after each guest in each of the cabins they are assigned.
  13. My brother forgot his favorite belt on the top shelf of the closet on our recent Discovery cruise. I always check the drawers and closet before we leave to make sure but I was too short to see it up there. Oh well, he should have been more careful. He'll never make that mistake again. I'm positive the steward doesn't check all the drawers and shelves of the each cabin on turnaround day, they have enough to worry about with the linen changes & cleaning.
