  1. With Aqua Class Blu is your dining room for breakfast and dinner. You can show up anytime it is open. The Celebrity system always shows traditional dining at 6 for Aqua Class for some reason. You can ask the Head Waiter in Blu to make arrangements for you if you wish to try the MDR. You will find a restaurant card in your room suggesting a time to eat on the first night only. This is to stagger guests on the first evening. You will love AQ and Blu. We never sail any other Class since trying it several years ago.

  2. In fact, there are six choices every day: two red, two white, a rose, and a sparkling. If there's a Greek one (or anything else) you don't like, just choose another. Not clear to me why finding one inexpensive wine in a local store should make all the included wines "poor."

When we were on Journey there was only one of each available. Sometimes we could order a prior wine but not every time. Glad to hear there are now 2 of each on offer.

  3. reilly1, I can't really agree with you. The wines are very drinkable, and if you cant find one you don't like the team members are more than happy to oblige with an alternative selection.

We came across 'The Crusher Pinot Noir' on Azamara, and if you take a stroll to the Vineyard Off Licence on the Ormeau Road, (in Belfast to all non NI readers) you buy a bottle at £15 a time. Its not in the bargain basement.

Maybe you have more expensive tastes?

No not expensive taste at all - Villa Maria SB would be my usual tipple with Sancerre as a treat. I know The Vineyard well indeed! I can only go by my only experience on Journey last year out of Athens. They served some Greek wines which we saw in the Duty Free Port shop for 7 euro. The Pinot Grigio was Argentinian and not good at all. Just my opinion though. Not for hubby and I.

  4. Regarding priority tendering, we have also sometimes been given "Priority Tender Tickets" by our cabin steward. We were able to get on whatever tender we wished, although we found it a bit embarrassing being herded to the front of the queue!

  5. I am sailing on 16th July and have already printed Pass. In the past, one Pass was required per guest, but this time, only one has printed, and seems to have both names on it. Anyone know if this is right?

  6. Yes, some people may think the all inclusive price is unrealistically expensive but I disagree. I generally get up around 8am and my head is a bit whoosey on account of the alcohol still in the system. However you can take stuff you have stashed overnight into breakfast for a top up and have it with your meal. There's generally a quiz mid morning and if you want a good seat I get there early and get a few bevvies in for the quiz and when bingo follows you don't mind if you do not win. I think I have won in the past but was busy getting the waiter's attention and missed the boat. Lunchtime is soon after that and normally as you know, they store up your unused wine and save the rest for dinner. There's normally an afternoon trivia, so I just repeat the morning system. Then on to the evening meal, I like second sitting as some cruises you get an officer on the table who buys the wine, a godsend in my opinion. Then it's off to the theatre where it's best to get an end seat so the waiters can get at you. I go to second performance, then onto the karaoke place where I like to sing a bit and get a few rounds in with the current crowd. After that it's on to the casino, which is a bit of a waste of money but normally the waiters are good at bringing the drinks round to the players. Normally this closes at around 12.30 so I like to get an early night so I can be up early for breakfast. In my opinion All Inclusive will be excellent value for money.

  7. You can take you wine with you or you can leave it for the next evening. I am fairly certain you only use the wine vouchers from the package in the MDR.

If you like wine you should certainly seek out the Glass House where there are a different set of wines to try. And of course you will have to try the wine flights.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, my husband and I drink only wine and love trying all the different offers. Will be sure to try The Glass House. Celebrity is great as the Premium Drinks Package allows almost any wine by the glass in any open venues. P&O will be different for us, but looking forward to it. All the lines have their own way of doing things. Any good whites?

  8. Not new to cruising (Celebrity fan) but fairly new to P&O. Easter cruise on Azura soon and have purchased Commodore's Selection Wine Package. Can we bring unfinished bottles from MDR to bars after dinner, and can we use our vouchers for bottles of wine in bars or just in restaurants? Celebrity's drink package works in a different way.

  9. We have a group of 24 on Eclipse to Baltic in July. Mostly people we have met on previous cruises. We are all in various cabins, some AQ, some suite, some OV etc. so will not be able to dine together. Could Qsine take a table of 24?

  10. On Bliss, I got most of my Elite plus perks and they offered beverage packages. It is a couples cruise first and foremost with adult entertainment. Someone would need to go through several doors to see any "adult activity", most people don't even walk in. The pool deck is clothing optional, and many people wear clothes. The crew seemed very happy on these cruises because we tip well, I've been told. The folks I've met have been extremely friendly, and in a half dozen of these cruises I've rarely seen rude behavior. I have met people from all over, and most are professionals. It's a joy to me to see older couples, long married, having a great time. And it's about the least judgemental group you will meet. These are specially sold charters, and people can't book them through Celebrity by mistake. They are also about 25% more expensive largely because of the entertainment. The ones I've been on sailed less than full. Any questions?

Yes, when can I cruise with you?! Sounds like fun.

  11. We are doing a Baltic cruise on July 16th on Eclipse - our 4th time in the Baltic. First cruise was wall to wall sunshine, second one was mixed and third one was awful weather. It is difficult to say. Weather in this region in July & August can change from day to day, hour to hour even. Just bring layers and something waterproof and hope for the best. Still our favourite region despite the unpredictable weather.

There is always the option of the Indoor Pool too!

  12. On Eclipse a few years ago, my husband and I were flabbergasted to see a lady (probably about 40ish) settling all her "Teddy Bears" on their own lounger. Her husband and she took one on either side! She even put sun lotion on them (messy!). The bears looked after the other 2 loungers when the pair went for lunch. I was tempted to chuck them overboard, but as I am a rule follower, didn't dare!!

  13. That was five years ago, what relevance does that have to do with a cruise in 2017? Also 60 cruises, many on this forum have many more. I think you need to move on.

We were on the Eclipse in mid-December and it was wonderful, I can't recommend this ship enough.

She's my favourite ship (won't bother saying the number of cruises I have been on - forget!) Can't wait to board her again in July this year for a reunion cruise with many people we have met on past cruises.
