  1. The whole reason for the CoR is sometimes you test a false positive, so you don't need to test. Worried that I might get a false positive.
  2. Same here, my first cruise, I was hooked! 1984 - ??? lol!
  3. Ah man, so cool! I wish I could find my pictures! I went on her in 1984! She was a beauty at the time!
  4. Be careful at that bar, read my review!
  5. Lol, I'll elaborate. When the band would play by the pool, it was mostly 80's stuff, which I don't mind. The solo singers would sing different stuff, old and new. But when the DJ would play, it would be 50s/60s stuff. So that's what I meant by 'older' stuff, 50s/60s, lol! I don't mind all that, but I'm a metal guy, lol! And some 80s New Wave/Punk/Dance.
  6. You should feel right in. We just got off of a 10 day Euro cruise, I was surprised as to how many younger ones there were. We're in our 50's, and I enjoyed the variety of ages. If you like pool and drinks, then it should be ok. The ONLY thing, the music by the pool, IMHO! Older stuff, if you don't mind, then great, if you do, take earbuds!
  7. Not sure, but heads up that it starts later in the evening. So you'll prob have time to do both.
  8. Uber or shuttle van (private), 30 minutes or so. Super close and convenient, with the exception of waiting in line to board! 😉
  9. I was on her in Oct and it was one of the best cruises ever, sorry you had a bad experience! Also, we just got off of the Celebrity Reflection, and I can honestly say that the food and service was MUCH better on the Panorama than on X! I never expected that to happen!
  10. Nasal passage, he was gentle! At FCO, I'd swear she touched my brain, I wanted to smack her!
  11. Hello, it was for a Celebrity cruise, 1 day before. We took it here, it was a short 10 minute walk and quick! The Farmacia del Corso ( Via del Corso 242 )
  12. I don't think they're waiving any fees. We booked in Oct., sailed 2 weeks ago and were charged. It was a nightmare, the testing. See my other post.
  13. I posted a quick review!
  14. As promised, quick update: We stayed at the Albergo del Senato on May 11-13th., it was awesome! Might be a little on the high end in price, but it is so much worth it! We had a view of the Pantheon and the square/piazza(?). The service was top notch. Front Desk was very helpful when we had questions. The room, not large, was very nice, AC worked great and comfy beds. The girls in the breakfast restaurant were amazing, great espresso and really decent food! The rooftop bar was our favorite! The drinks that Michele (Michael) made for us were AWESOME, he got us hooked on Aperol Spritz! We'd definitely stay here again on our next visit. Thank you CruiseMom for your recommendation!
  15. We did the same places two weeks ago. One thing that we learned is that we wished we would've done most of these tours on our own! The tour companies spend way to much time talking about the history (which is fine, but enough is enough). This prevented us from doing other things at port. Lesson learned for us. Examples: Pompei, next time we'd just get a ride there and take the tour on our own. Montenegro/Croatia: The Montenegro tour was way to long, we didn't get much time to do stuff on our own. Croatia tour was nice because they gave us a lot of time on our own, we were able to shop and eat where we wanted. Greece: Long bus tours and quick stops to a 'specialty' store that wasn't even on the agenda. I think they get kickbacks! Anyhow, that's my 2 cents 😉
  16. We did 2 weeks ago, so easy and so convenient! We did it Pre cruise but was looking for a pharmacy POST cruise on last day of cruise, but they were all booked up. It was a NIGHTMARE getting it done at the airport AND also using the E-Kits that FAILED! Most speak English, I wouldn't worry!
  17. We just did the Pompei tour 2 weeks ago, we wished so bad that we did it ON OUR OWN! The tour is way to long, and being in a group sucked. If we ever go back, we'll do on our own and finish it so much sooner that we can do more things in port!
  18. I was also on the Panorama, but in Oct. They served bacon every other day.
  19. Must be a USA thing. On X last week in Europe, they served piles and piles of bacon! And they also served English bacon! I went hog wild, no pun intended!
  20. I've posted a pretty good list of things to do at all of these ports under the MR board, great info can be found there! If time is a concern, then you might want to consider early/late dining, that way you won't have to worry about it. We were on the Panorama in Oct., the wait times I heard were not bad, but we did late dining. There's plenty to do! Eat, pool, walk, eat, trivia, cards, games, etc. If you can't find anything to do, then maybe a cruise is not for you. I travel in groups, my motto is to do what you want to do, i.e., we don't have to do everything together! Explore and do what you want to do. We've gone thru this. We tell our parents to enjoy, and, IF we need a sitter, we don't abuse it. Also, kids camp is awesome, so if it's available, take advantage of it. Scooter is an option. Or, just let them deal with it. If they're tired, take a break. Or, stay on ship if they don't want to explore. I really think you're over analyzing. Just go, have fun, let things happen as they happen. You're going to stress thinking about all these 'what if's'! I used to do this also, but after 20 cruises, we just go with the flow and let yourself go! FYI: We just got back from a 10 day Euro cruise with my mom and stepdad. My mom has arthritis, but she put in her 15k steps a day doing 7 excursions (105k total steps), plus another 3 days pre cruise in Rome! I think that if they really want to go and have fun, they'll find a way 🙂 Hope this helps! Hope it's not misread as being negative or critical, it's not meant that way.
  21. You should have no problem. My mom speaks Spanish/English and she enjoys every moment of a cruise. Also, many onboard speak Spanish, so don't worry.
