  1. I have three back to back cruises booked. One reservation number for three different voyages. Can I only get one shareholder benefit even if there are three different voyages?
  2. I got the 10 person info from the landside retreat concierge and a FCC onboard the Equinox. Don’t know about children. I paid $2400 for a 12 night cruise through my girlfriend’s booking who is in a sky suite. As a solo cruiser this was a way for me to cruise easier with her and her daughter on the Apex. I’m glad Celebrity offer this package especially for someone like me who is a solo cruiser.
  3. Celebrity offers only 10 RPPS per sailing. We are talking 10 people. Even if all 10 packages are sold out for a certain cruise I don’t think crowding in Luminae or the retreat will be affected that much.
  4. So looking forward to reading your reports and seeing what your thoughts are about Oceania. If you can, and it’s offered, do the bear tour in Prince Rupert. Absolutely wonderful tour into the wilderness.
  5. Rich be sure to go to the float museum in Hakodate. The floats are four dimensional, have a history behind them and are absolutely beautiful. They change every year. They are made to give thanks for a fruitful harvest at the end of the growing season. The museum was one of my highlights visiting Japan.
  6. I might be missing something but it appears Oceania does not offer any excursions in Sydney if the port if a disembarkation port and embarkation port the same day? If a ship docks overnight there are excursions. If the ships arrives and departs the same day there are none. Has anyone noticed this? Is this correct?
  7. The solo cabins on the E class ships may be nice for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean but not so good if you are doing a 12 day cruise to Norway with jackets, boots, sweaters, etc.. At 79 years of age I don’t want to keep half my clothes in a suitcase under the bed for 12 days and I certainly would want a window at least to enjoy the scenery.
  8. As a solo cruiser I thought Celebrity had finally come to their senses regarding solo cruisers. Guess I was wrong. Now we can’t even pick the cabin we would like.
  9. You may be able to get some reimbursement from the credit card company you used to pay for the cruise.
  10. To clarify my friend did call the retreat concierge and gave both her and my booking number so I could get the package. . I then called the concierge, he checked my friends reservation, and I was able to pay for the package. No, drinks are not included just access to the lounge, Luminae and the sun deck. Still cheaper than booking a suite and I get free drinks from 5 to 7 anyway.
  11. Funny that this topic has been resurrected. I just purchased the retreat privilege package last week. I’m a solo cruising with a friend and her daughter who are in a sky suite on the Apex. The package cost me a little less than $2400 for a 12 night cruise. The cost for me was far less than booking a retreat suite and I’m able to eat my meals with my friends. Drinks are not included with the package but I’m Elite so I can still partake of the free beverages at cocktail hour. I know it’s a costly item and not for everyone but something I chose to do.
  12. Hopefully celebration time is here! Maybe RCI stockholders gave them grief..
  13. My new fare was just the double fare. NO surcharge.
  14. By chance checked my solo booking for the Apex next June. It appears that the surcharge has gone away for my sailing. The cabin fare is just now what two people would pay. Savings of $2600! Maybe Celebrity got the message.
