  1. Hi Sandra ... Is Britannia worth a try ?

    We went on the Britannia too back in September. We enjoyed it and liked the ship however;

Atrium; loved it but they don't hold entertainment in it like the Piazza . Instead they have a band or singer in the Live Lounge which gets really full and we couldn't find a seat or anywhere to stand . Lovely Crows Nest bar though and lots more .

    Glass shower screens too

  2. Thanks for sharing your experiences although for me it's replacing entertainment venues with gambling that is a larger factor than fewer bars which to some passengers is more important than to me.

I've read posts that noise from music & loud voices in the enclosed Hollywood Conservatory & Hollywood Pool Club was very loud...were you there at those times to experience it?

I'm sure that I'd enjoy the traditional Cantonese dishes in Harmony but have been disappointed by reviews on La Mer which I thought would be an improvement in dining. However my scale for the overall Majestic's cruise experiences definitely tilts to the downside & other ships provide me with a better experience. Sometimes it's good to have options & glad to know that the ship was lovely and was fine for you.

The Hollywood pool and Conservatory when i went in were fine noise wise though all sun loungers were full on a cold day so didnt go in so it may have been noisy

At night the pool indoors turned into a night club . That was loud [emoji3]

  3. I sailed on the Maiden Voyage.

The ship was lovely but i can see many if your points.

The Conservatory was a waste of space but if thats what appeals to the Chinese market its aimed at then so be it .

The indoor pool was ideal on a sunny but cold day though soon filled up .

Other than that the ship was fine but if you like the bars that were missing on this ship then it would cause disappointment.

  4. Hi everyone. I was on the 4th April sailing.

There are noise restrictions at Rome port which unfortunately did not allow the Love Boat to be played.

We had a very low key sailaway where I felt the CD could have got the crowd going more .

We discovered the VIP Casino bar while walking from the theatre to Bellini Bar . The bar tender was standing with no one to serve as the place was empty

When Bellini was really busy on Champagne Waterfall night , we popped back to get him to make us a drink. He was a lovey guy and experienced in mixing drinks, so we often stopped for a drink to take through to where we wanted to go to if everywhere was busy .

  5. Hi Sidari . The Captain told me that he cannot play the Love Boat out of Rome port due to local noise restrictions. We thought that the Ents staff could have done more at that Sailaway to get the crowd going .

Years ago on the Golden coming out of Barcalona on a normal cruise , they played Freddie Mercury "Barcalona " loudly and had streamers . Something along those lines may have gone down better I think

  6. I don't understand, was it available on board or did you purchase it prior to sailing via cruise personalizer? I have been trying to book it since I saw it in February and have called Princess numerously including today and have been told it is not available on any Majestic sailings. I hope you can clarify so that I am aware of my options.

    Thanks

On board . They took the pre order offer off the website

  7. AIBP on Majestic last week, Juice Bar and Leaves NOT covered by the package. Staff not aware, and quite puzzled by it.

On embarking, the server at Juice bar happily served us , but was puzzled when it came up with a charge on our card...which he removed straight away. The following day, a different server wouldn't accept the AIBP, and mentioned the same for LEAVES.

Spoke to a Supervisor, and his team selling the AIBP who were adamant that ALL drinks, no matter where from, were included if under $10.

Later spoke to Supervisor of that area, and then Guest Services, who said NO, Leaves and Juice Bar Not in the AIBP.

i told them they need to inform the staff and have notices advising at these bars to avoid disappointment...though it is disappointing actually.

  8. We had the AIBP on the Majestic.

There is no sticker on your card. Your card is activated and all drinks not charged, however, staff do not all know this...maybe now they do, but when you both hand over your cards when ordering, the server, usually says that one card will do...till you explain. So, we did this all the time. some staff said we needed a sticker...until we explained, and they were embarrassed to not know

The Leave tea Bar drinks, and Juice Bar drinks are unfortunately, NOT included in the AIBP package, event though they are under $10

On our first day, we stopped by the Juice Bar, where the server, happily accepted our AIBP, though the charges came up, and he deleted them.

Next visit, different server, who didn't accept the cards, and said the same applied to LEAVES.

Later talking to a Supervisor, he said that all drinks under $10, no matter where they came from.

Went to LEAVES, who said same...no AIBP from their bar. the Supervisor of that area came and confirmed, and also at Guest Services, no AIBP at Juice Bar or LEAVES. They were, happy to refund any previous charges, if we had any.

So, staff not fully informed, and no signs at those bars, advising that they were not participating in the AIBP
