We are looking for looking for a reliable car service from EZE airport to a downtown location.
We are worried that a taxi will not hold two
large cases, 68x45x18
Any suggestions would be most welcomed.

Try Wells Fargo, AMEX at offices, and on line

Does the LA Cruise Terminal at San Pedro have
global access lanes? The last time we were there
they did not have them and it took us over an
within guidelines of the cruise company, but early.
We want to do walk off with our cases, have hirred
a car and
hour and half to get thru. We have an early flight, driver and hope to get to the airport by
10:30. for a 12:30 flight. We have three cases to check and worry about this.
We know all about LA traffic, so we are concerned. The next
flight is six hours later. Thanks

Thanks, that is the bank we used at the airport the last
time we were there. 2010. Wanted to make sure that
it was still there. Again, thanks.

Ecuador uses the U.S, dollar as it currency. All other ports you will need currency.

Where is the best place to change money in Buenos Aires?
It use to be the bank and terminal a on arrival. Does anyone
have and update. We do not want to use an ATM card,
Thanks

It really depends how many ships are in port that day.
The terminal can be a mess. Suggest you do a walk off.
Sometimes there is a wait for taxis. Do a little research on
the boards Canadian ports and you will find out the best way.

So glad you arrived in Rome. What a day you had.
Again, safe travels.

Thank you for your time spent on this blog. As always we
enjoy your pictures and dialog. We will be looking forward
to your world cruise. Wishing you safe travels.

Because of the roads, traffic and conditions, this is one
port that you might consider a ships tour to the places
that you mention. If you were just going to Grenada ,
it would be different. We have been to this port four times and
have done the a tour similar to the one you would like to
do, we had to have a police escort to get us thru the traffic
and back to the port and then we were an hour late.
Yes, this time, we were on a ship's tour.

Enjoy the wonderful fresh made noodle bar in the Lido.
They had it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We seldom, went
back to the dinning room as the noodles were so good along with
the other Japanese choices for breakfast. Enjoy your time in
Tokyo and on your cruise.

If you are flying to Canada or US most flights leave late in
the evening. Suggest you book a tour to go on. The airport has
no seating and places to wait. You can't check in until 3 hours
before you flight. Remember, the airport may be jammed with
holiday travelers as it is Christian holidays as well as the
start of summer vacation holiday. Get to the airport 4 hour in advance for the long lines in check, and you should be within the
three hour period. Suggestions for tours is a winery and lunch.

You are cutting it too close. Traffic to and in Florence is
a nightmare. You will have to walk at least 20 minutes to
get to the entrance. Princess usually makes a pit stop about
half way to Florence and this can take 20-30 minutes depending on how many buses make the stop and how many ships are in
port. The early afternoon would be much better. The crowds outside are huge and it can be hard to get to the entrance area.
Lots of school children until late July each day.

Because of the location of the port area, most of the cruise
lines run shuttles to two large shopping malls. Callao is a large working port. At the malls there will
be lots of taxi drivers and private tour operator there.
If you know where you want to go it is easy. We always
walk through the mall to a different opening, again always
taxis waiting to take you somewhere. You arrange by the
location the price. It is always much cheaper outside the main
drop off area. Be sure to take a photo of the entrance y.ou are using as the mall can be confusing. You arrange price
by the location, rather than a meter ride. Traffic is very
bad in Lima, and do take this into consideration when DYI
tour. You will need to return to the mall to get back to your
ship. It can take between 20 to 40 minutes to get to the malls

Does anyone how to get to Valparaiso from San Antonio?
-
One can get the get the taziezeza at the white both in the middle
of the arrivals terminal. You pay, the give you receipt and are directed outside to their taxis. Checking the rate exchange it
is over 70usd. We have been to BA several times. One
uses the same caution that one would use in any large city.
It is a wonderful city, so full of interesting sites. Get a private
guide, or walk around on your own. Check with your hotel
if it is safe to walk around the area. They will tell you. Don't wear
jewelry, or watch, unless it is a cheap throw away, (dollar tree) type. Always have money in a safe place and be careful if you
have a large expensive camera. Really this applies to all the cities that you will visit on this cruise. Just because you might
be on a Princess tour, don't let you guard down. Last December, on a Princess tour, we had a member of our group 10 people,
had a cell phone stole off her person in Santiago, Chile.

Guayaquil, is an interesting place. Our ship, ran a shuttle
from the dock. working port, mostly banana packing place to
the city a few k's away. We were told to be very careful
in the city. Armed soldiers were around tourist areas.
The river walk was interesting, and we walked up a hill to
a special house. The food from the local cafes along
the river walk was good, but then, we will eat most
anything. There were a large group of iguana's in the
park, where we were dropped off. Manta, suffered a large
earthquake, in late 2015, and a lot of the downtown was
destroyed. We took a taxi got it from the large beach hotel, up the street from port gates, much cheaper than those at the gates to Montecristo, sp
where Panama Hats are really from. Also loved the nut
carvings or animals and birds. Manta is the yellowfin
tuna capital of the world. The ships come in with their
catch which the quality fish are flown out to other places in the world.
The lesser quality is canned nearby. Great places on
the beach, near port gates for wonderful fish dishes.
Again, this is a working port, you must take a shuttle to the
gate. And of course the us dollar is their legal tender.

Just some information that I have been given. We are part of a CERT team that will be flying
into Houston tonight to work for the next 14 days. We were told that the airports there will be closes or very limited flight into and out of the next few days. Emgs supplies, and workers will be flown in
from all over, and the very sick will be flown out. We were told not to even think about getting out
until 14 days from tomorrow. To all on you have been effected my thoughts go out to you.

Probably a med emergency. Easier to do a land evac than
one at sea.
-
The private transfer will be about the same or cheaper as
the transfer for two. You wouldn't be able to get off the ship
until port workers show up somewhere between 07:00 and 08:00
It takes about 50minutes to get you to the terminal that you
request. Some flights to North America now go out of termial
1 at least the check in part. Check your airline.

It is still in effect for Canadians and a couple of other countries.

The Chinese flyers might have something to do with NewYears starting in a few days. Loved your detailed reports and sorry to
hear of the rough weather again.
