  1. Usual procedure at this port is to walk about 250 meters from your cruise ship to the free port shuttle.

It will take you down to the drop of point, where you can walk, take the tram, or the bus. There are also

posts on cruise critic that talk about walking about 500 meters to the roadway where you can catch the local bus. Check the French boards. We did this last April, and the port operated a free shuttle, the cruise ship also offered

a pay shuttle. It took you to the same drop of place as the free shuttle.

  2. Thanks you again for posting. We knew of Mike's health issues but so missed

your wonderful lives on the boards. Again, we must add our thanks for all

the wonderful advise we gained from you posting and send our best for

    2017. R and J

  3. We also would highly recommend Smiths. Their service was excellent.

Inquires booking, and questions were promptly answered. The driver was

waiting our arrived early and we got to the airport in 80 minutes. Also check

with the service as sometimes, football games, and holidays, as well as

road repairs can impair service. Again great service.

  4. We just returned from a stop at San Juan del Sur. We have been there several times before and I would say that a ships tour seeing Granada and the

volcano national park with market is the best that one can do. It will give you a good overview of the area. Because it is hard to get tenders and late

returns because of poor road conditions on weekends and holidays, you would

be better off with a ships tour. We were over a hour late return to the port.

  5. Thanks J for the updates. So glad you arrived home safely. We look forward

to your travels, whatever, that might be. I know, that the two of you will find something to keep you out of the winter cold. Thanks again, for the great

details of your trip. We always learn so much from your travels and now

you have given us some insight of how to handle a crisis.

  6. So happy to hear that Princess stepped up, especially those officers on the Pacific to assist you with travel plans home. That was the good

news. Especially, with all that is happening on board that ship. Sad that you wouldn't be cruising for a while. Thinking of all the positives, didn't you want to be home for the holiday's. Please let us your readers, know of your safe arrival and any plans that you make for cruising. SAFE TRAVELS

To all the others impacted by this, we send our thoughts and hope you will be able

to do something else, either in Europe or somewhere else with your time.
