  1. Such a smooth transition from cabin to cabin the cabin Stewart will take everything for you you can leave your clothes on the hanger still and then they put it on like a bellhop cart and then you just pack your listings and your luggage and they gently put your luggage in your room and hang up your clothes into your new closet. The very few times that I've had to move to a new cabin when I sell for multiple sailings in a row and I've always been so completely grateful and impressed

We are on Nov 6 sailing so hoping all you folks on the earlier cruises post and let us know of any changes, if any.  Really interested to see if the "conservatory" with all the game tables is turned into the "sanctuary" that we typically see.  If not, then I guess we will save some money.

Funny you mentioned that. I was thinking the same thing the other day about the conservatory because I know the sanctuary is such a money maker and a place a solitude that so many people look forward to.

The Majestic used to have a VIP gaming room next to the casino, and the Vista Lounge was called the "Vista Gaming Lounge", with mah jong tables everywhere, so there have been some recent changes, but at least according to what is shown on the Medallion App, the rest of the ship is the same.  What earthly purpose is gained by still having a dedicated Karaoke section next to the spa, or having an all-ages "Hollywood Conservatory" replacing the Sanctuary, I don't know....

Like I said I'm really curious to know what will be or if there will be any adjustments to things on board the ship to me more of the clientele on its current position.

Regardless I'm just excited to be sailing again very soon!

Cruises that we've been on leaving from the West Coast have a lot, maybe a majority, of West Coast people. Cantonese or other Chinese cuisines are really popular out here.

You make an excellent point that I definitely didn't think about.

I didn't see a menu just the write up. I'll post one on 8/15 😁

Awesome. Can't wait to read your review on it. And I'll try to do the same if I end up giving it a try so that way you have an idea as well prior to your cruise.

I looked at the write up on the noodle bar and that looks more interesting

Do you have the menu from there? I need to relook at what they offer. I wonder if it's just the same exact concept of the noodle bar station that they do in the back of the lido deck on the Caribbean Princess.

Yes I too would be very interested to see if they will be changing around any of their dining options to accommodate the North American clientele. I looked at that Harmony menu and there's not a single thing on there I would even touch.

I as well enjoy my New York style pizza up on that lido deck hopefully that will be available.

    We shall see 😊

I mean the Alaska Majestic Harmony Restaurant Menus.  Sorry I wasn't explicit (I'm on the 8/15 cruise)

Well I would presume that the harmony money is going to be the same but always is as that's usually how it's always been for all their specialty restaurants like crown grill or sabatini's or La Mer doesn't matter destination.

I'm excited for you on your upcoming Cruise as your 2 weeks after me.

    Can you post the menues?

If you just Google majestic princess harmony menu it's a very first link that pops up as it's a PDF.

Or are you referring about posting menus once I'm on board in the main dining room?

I am interested as well and am hoping that those on the early Majestic cruises in 4-6 weeks will report back. Although, that does not help you, unfortunately, but perhaps you could be that 'first on the scene' reporter!

Sounds like it. I'm on the second sailing August 1st. I'm in contact with some crew I know who just joined onboard but they're all in quarantine right now so they have no clue what's going on 😂

  11. Just a random question as I'm getting prepared to sail on the beautiful majestic princess on one of her first voyages out to Alaska does.

Does anyone know, or think that the majestic princess will be Americanized to follow more of the American needs as I know she was made for the Asian market ?

I looked over the harmony restaurant menu which I know takes place of sabatini's on a typical Princess ship. I don't see, or I could be completely wrong that the Cantonese menu is going to be a big hit at all here in the states. And I know they have a noodle bar that took place I think where the burgers are

Curious here what everyone's thoughts, or any knowledge that you may have in regards to possibly americanizing the majestic princess. I'm sad to see that the pizza on the lido deck will not be up on the lido deck even though I know they have Alfredo's but it's two different styles of pizza.

  12. Update on issue: after hours of figuring out and playing around hoping that tables would become available I have made all my reservations for all upcoming four cruises through the end of this year as it won't let me do any of the dining for anything in 2022 right now.

A trick that seemed to work for me is I did the reservations on both my personal phone and my father's phone which was funny because I can never get any of the reservations to confirm through my phone but his worked perfectly fine. It was funny how we got completely different table sizes and reservation times. But got my 5:00 dining set for all of them and I happy to know that they're all for a table for two only. The process definitely took a lot of persistence and playing around with. The first time I think I've ever had a stressful experience with a Princess Cruise in my entire life. 🤣

I read this post and many others and I think that if I had these problems, I would call my TA whom I have been using for 10 - 15 years and she would take care of the problem.  One more reason to use a TA.

    DON

Thank you. However my agent who I've been working with for like 15 plus years says that they don't have the option to switch anything with the dining room as everything is done through the dine your way on The medallion app

  14. I'm also curious since they're doing this whole dying my way thing for dinner how is anyone supposed to book the main dining room for breakfast or lunch. Because that also is going to need to have the same CDC guidelines I would presume. This is why I don't travel on the other Cruise lines because I don't like having to make reservations for everything the nightmare has become a reality. All I want to do is Cruise. LoL 😂

If it were me, I'd see the maitre'd on boarding day and see what could be done.  I've always found them to be accommodating - especially getting us moved away from an adjacent table of loud partiers, or to another table to get away from some especially annoying table mates.

Anymore, we find the whole MDR dinner experience too loud and too long, so we eat breakfast and lunch in the MDR and go to the buffet for a quick an easy dinner with extra free time to then enjoy the evening.

To each his own, one of the beauties of cruising.

Thank you. Yes I'm one of those as well who go immediately on boarding day to the matri'd to get tables adjusted for any reasons that may cause me to visit them. And they have been amazingly accommodating I'm hoping that they can still be accommodating with all these new protocols and guidelines. I think the issue here is the CDC guidelines of capacity allowed in the dining room.
