  1. I started a similar thread 18 months ago but open dining is now well established so I thought it would be useful to get a snap shot of recent experiences. There's no need to repeat the arguments against open dining, we know it doesn't suit everyone. So, have you used open and did it work for you. If not, please comment about why not.
  2. No problem with you posting them ! But they tend to be a disruption
  3. That's good to hear, do you have a copy of the menu ?
  4. Can we please keep this live report for posters currently on board rather than links to others' videos? Thank you
  5. It's not showing me the old title, does it show for anyone else ?
  6. Thanks again for your great reports. I hope you're planning another Cunard sailing.
  7. A sea day sailing to Southampton on a Mediterranean round trip last June
  8. It's not listed on the menu but apparently is available for a fee on request. Simple answer is if you want all the cavier and off menu items book QG.
  9. I'm glad to hear that today was better and that you have made contact with Osman. I hope you enjoy your special order. Lunch Menus are generally standard in all restaurants.
  10. We're just getting ready to go home after a relaxing break in Pembrokeshire. We had friends to stay the last 2 nights and went out on a lovely boat trip yesterday.
  11. Welcome to Cruise Critic @Lesley Lesley. Your question has been posted on an old thread but doesn't seem related to the subject. If you can explain what you mean we can try and answer in a new thread.
  12. Even in Britannia the waiters ask if everything was alright with your food. I don't often leave food but when I have, I've always been asked what the problem is and been offered a replacement. I'm not sure what's going on but you need to tell the staff that you're not happy. I hope things improve for you today.
  13. Cunard have fitted them on Queen Anne so I guess they have listened to the complaints.
  14. From the Cunard website Question Can I hire formal wear? Answer Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria Yes, gentlemen can hire tuxedos including shirts, trousers and dinner jackets on board from the shops. Tuxedo packages range from $90 for one night up to $250 for 5 nights. We do not currently offer a hire service for ladies formal wear on board, however a range of woman's evening wear is available to purchase from our on board shops. Queen Elizabeth Yes, gentlemen can hire tuxedos (trousers and dinner jackets) on board from the shops. Tuxedo packages range from $130 for one night up to $250 for 5 nights.
  15. That's handy, enjoy the last day of this trip!
  16. My last 2 cruises have been 14 days and we had 3 gala nights on both of them so I'd think it's unlikely you would have more for 12 nights.
  17. Welcome to Cruise Critic, it looks you have already received good advice about the coach transfers. If you want to chat with other cruisers on your sailing that's best done on a roll call. Your dates cover several different itineraries but this is the thread for the final section.
  18. Thank you @NE John, have a great trip. I'm looking forward to reading your reports.
  19. Sounds like a great excuse for another trip !
  20. That's a shame, it's next to the King's Court. They have a selection of sweet and savoury small plates.
