I believe the Plus Package includes two casual meals for the cruise, not by the day.  Premier includes unlimited casual meals.  Planks, Steamers, and Vines are only open in the evening.  Vines opens at 4 pm but I am not sure of the hours for food.

Yes, and it is the plus cruise package not the plus beverage package.

That's fine, but am I inadvertently making the pool smaller by making the CA pool smaller for wages and bonuses by paying my CA with promo OBC?  What I can't wrap my head around is promotional OBC isn't real money; it's Princess Cruises currency which has a one to one exchange rate with the US Dollar, that only exists on shipboard folios for use while on the ship.  How does this get put in the pool if it doesn't exist as real money?  Princess can't pay their crew with OBC, they have to pay them in US Dollars.

No, it should simply go back to Princess Just the accounting line changes. Now part of the CA fund.

As I recall, that credit can only be used onboard, not before sailing.

Yes and no. In my experience they charge your credit card pre cruise for any amount over your OBC. However your OBC amount listed on the personalizer does not change. It is deducted from your account onboard. I think the day before the excursion? Keep in mind that they use the credits assigned to each individual listed on the excursion even if a combined onboard account. So one of your party may run out of credits before the other.

Too bad the desserts aren’t available in the main dining rooms.

We will sometimes just skip the dessert course in the MDR and then go share a slice of the premium cake while listening to music.

My agent booked a BC cabin this morning.  I was checking and saw some cabins were now available.  My deck now only has Reserve guarantee cabins.

With the cruise selling so well this morning, Princess has increased the price.  My cruise fare has gone up by $825 more in just a few hours.

Noticed that price hike as well. I waited too long. we now have a cabin booked, but at a hefty price.

same. I think it was Typhoid Mary in the theater on the last night who coughed the entire performance long right behind us.

I do however feel for those with a cough due to a chronic respiratory issue that has nothing to do with a communicable disease.  They get the automatic dirty looks as people assume it is a cold or covid. Maybe the scarlet letter A is now for asthma.

We are booked on the Sapphire for an Alaska cruise out of Vancouver as a OV guarantee. Today at 35 days out our cabin number appeared on the app.  My question is can Princess change that again or are we now locked in? I'm happy with the cabin and thinking of cancelling my upgrade bid but if they can move us again I don't want to that.

Yes, they can change it again.

The lingering question is "How much am I willing to pay to feel spoiled?"  Again, that comes down to personal habits and preferences.

Exactly. Each of us decides what "extras" we are willing to spend money on to feel spoiled. We don't do The Sanctuary, Spa, onboard shopping etc. So it is fairly easy to splurge a bit on the package and still convince ourselves that we are still being reasonable with our money.

Yup, for some it makes sense and for others it doesn't.  I don't understand the endless posts about why or why not the purchase is justified.  It isn't exactly rocket science.

The trouble is when you are like us and the math is right on the border. We have dine it both ways. I am a constant folio monitor. Not having to remember, or worse ask my wife what she bought, to determine if every little charge is correct, sometimes tips the scale in favor of the package. Going to GS to dispute a $7.00 drink charge is a pain. Hard to put a cash value on the convenience factor.

Just submitted my request last week for OBC on my Dec 2024 cruise and got it a day after I submitted my request via the app. Now I got to wait until maybe the end of year for apply for my Dec 2025 cruise OBC.

Same here  for our August cruise. I had the try after May 1 email before, but since others here have been successful with even later cruises, I tried again yesterday and bingo it worked! No April fools.
