Basically OBC will show on your folio as a credit and any thing you spend on the ship will be deducted from that credit
Except for future cruise deposits.
Sorry, I see Skynight already covered this.

We have cruised on Princess more since the resumption of cruising post CoVid than ever before and loved everything about it since then, even more than before. I don’t want to things to go back to ‘the way they used to be’ when I first started cruising.
I like all the new entertainment and activities where I can do as much or as little as I wish. I love the more relaxed dress code. I love there is no more smoking on the balconies. I really love the beds. I love the all the alternate dining venues and I really love the smaller portions of food served. I love the size of the deluxe balcony cabin on the Royal class ships. I love the easy check in and disembarkation. I love the new muster drills. I love the medallion. I Iove being able to order food and have it delivered wherever I am, locate my DH, bookmark activities, check my folio, purchase a future cruise deposit, use crew chat, etc, etc etc, right from the app.
We are into our third decade of cruising, so not newbies, and I never wish to go back to how cruising used to be. I love what it has become. I will continue to cruise for as long as my budget and body allow me to do so. I can assure you, most of those will be on Princess.
We also are cruising more now. Not getting any younger. I Agree with everything you state. Love might be a stretch😉, but it does fit in with the new Princess ship logo "I love this boat". Are there some issues? Sure, and there always will be. But they are working on it and maybe the new app will help some🤞.

I like this idea. Thanks

Nothing. Once elite number of cruises/cruise credits are meaningless. Next recognized milestone would be 500 days at sea.
Thanks, We will cross the 300 day mark on our next voyage, so that is a goal for us to look towards 🤞 But then, every cruise is "special".

But the noise level has been the same for years now.
True, but it seems like more games such as cornhole, ring toss, carpet bowl etc. that used to be in other venues have migrated to the piazza over the last few years for some reason. So they have an audience?

I am not sure if the process has changed in the last few days but I submitted a request for Shareholder credit via email to sbpcl@princesscruises.com on 10/26/23 for an upcoming Jan 24 cruise and the OBC was posted to my account within 5 days. I attached a completed Carnival corp & PLC shareholder Benefit Request form and a copy of a recent Broker Statement with personal info blacked out but showing name and # CCL shares owned. In the Title I noted Last Name and Booking #.
I also submitted via email just a few minutes ago and it worked great. Despite the email saying it could take 21 days it was on my personalized right away. So they haven't implemented any required changes yet.

Good morning all from the Sapphire Princess. It is 0415 hours as I begin to type this. Well the dreaded "Get off the Ship Day" is upon us. When we were departing Ensenada last night, the Captain informed us we'd be picking up the Los Angeles pilot around 0430 for our arrival in San Pedro. While this cruise overall was great, I'm ready to get off the ship and get home to our Golden Retriever Bailey.
The way our packing came together last night was a first time for me. Holli's tummy issues got worse and she basically spent all of yesterday in bed. When I saw she wasn't going to be able to pack her suitcases, I just started throwing stuff in whichever case had room. I double and triple checked all drawers and closets so there will be nothing left behind. Unpacking will sure be an adventure though.
As mentioned in an earlier post, we will be staying overnight at the Hilton Doubletree before driving home to northern Arizona tomorrow. I'm glad I requested the latest get off time possible. This will allow Holli not to be rushed in getting off the ship.
Well that's all for now. When I get home, I will try and write a full review of our cruise. I will post here when I get it completed.
That's all for now. Hope all are well.....
Bob
It was nice to talk to you onboard. We have made it home save, however welcomed back with snow. Our dog was delighted to see us as well. May our paths cross again. Until then, smooth sailing.

Has anyone else’s MDR dinner service slowed way down since our HNL stop? Savoy is our MDR. Thinking maybe the kitchen is short staffed? Maybe it’s just our waiters? Or, maybe it’s just me? 🤣
We did exchange a lot of crew in HNL.
Just curious.
Noticed it in Santa Fe the last two nights as well. We did not do the MDR tonight.

So the cabin next to us had a flooding issue. They were moved And the carpet replaced, but some of the water also made it's way into our cabin. They had blowers going for two days to dry things out. Guest services was very good about it and has issued $100 fcc to each for the inconvenience. Good job Sapphire crew!

A very early good morning from the Sapphire Princess. It is only 0417 (ship's time) as I begin to type this. Another early morning rise for me. There is only me and one other passenger in the IC as I begin this post. Seas are fairly calm right now. They were fairly smooth during the night as I had no problems sleeping.
Yesterday in Hilo we did not have anything planned. I got off the ship for about an hour or so and just walked around a bit. Holli stayed onboard to rest her back in preparation for our excursion today. There really isn't much to do right around the port. It is a somewhat industrial area. The town of Hilo and Walmart are about two miles from the dock. I'm actually glad I didn't go to Walmart as i heard from several different sources that it was a total zoo. Besides a cruise ship being in port, yesterday was sort of a grand reopening for the store as they had finished up some remodeling. A local was actually the first to warn me about going there. He told me it was packed and they had a multitude of food trucks in the parking lot to help celebrate the reopening festivities.
Today in Honolulu we are scheduled to arrive at 0700 with a 2230 all aboard. Holli & I have a dinner cruise planned for a little after 1600. I booked it privately through "Star of Honolulu." We've done the dinner cruise previously and are looking forward to doing it again. The reason I booked it privately is Princess was only offering a Sunset Cocktail Cruise while we wanted to do the full dinner cruise. As far as this morning goes, we are hoping to once again enjoy our suite perk of breakfast in Sabatinis. After that, I'll probably work on touching up pictures I have taken for eventual upload to my Flickr page when we get back home.
For entertainment options today, there will be a College Football triple header shown in the Explorers Lounge. First up is Penn State vs Ohio State at 0600. The second game will be the Texas Longhorns vs the Houston Cougars at 1000. The third game at 1400 will be Utah vs the USC Trojans. Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie will be screened on MUTS at 1230. Musician Janusz Bator will perform in Crooners at 1700 & 1930. Moondance Duo will be in the Wheelhouse Bar at 1815 & 1915. A featured Folkloric Performance with Halau-Lilia Kamanoe will be in the Princess Theater at 1845 & 2045. Pianist/Vocalist Andy Morris will be in Crooners from 2015 onwards. The house band will be playing two jazz sets in the Wheelhouse bar at 2115 and 2215.
Well that's all for now. Hope all are well.....
BobActually the 12:30 movie was to be in the theater, Honolulu regulations do not allow the MUTS when docked.

We are on the Discovery Princess to Hawai'i in December and would also like to know if they still have the ukulele and hula programs and if so the names of the ambassadors. We love these programs and enjoy bringing our own ukuleles to strum along. Thank you so much for your excellent live report!

We are in the sanctuary now. Cool and breezy. Only one other couple. Two of the breakfast items were not available. We rarely book it but had some OBC to use.

@Purplsmurf I do hope your cruise improves. You are onboard. Yay.
I've had my photo taken (for security) several times. It all depends who is manning the camera. No one outside of those checking you off and on does it matter.
I can understand why the powers to be said that your husband had to watch the video again. It was on YOUR phone, under YOUR account. Did you change the person watching the video in your cabin? You had to select your husband's account for it to register. It worked when he watched it on his phone because it was now registered to him. I can understand your frustration. Happened to my cabin mate too. She finally gave up and didn't bother to watch it for a 4th time. She was cleared.
You must be used to the Royal Class ships or other cruise lines. Grand Class/GEM Class ships have never been known for elaborate buffets. Adequate, but I don't frequent the buffet often. Make friends with those in the IC and the MDR. They will provide you with Gluten Free pastry. I'm sure if you spoke to the Assistant Maitre d' (who is in charge of anything on the Lido Deck, room service, and other venues), he might be able to provide you with some assistance.
Yes, I did not see an option to to indicate both watching the video on the same mobile device. We each had to use our own device while logged into the app. Not a big deal. We thought check in was a breeze.

Thanks for starting the live Bob. As you know we will be on this trip also and I will chime in as we sail along as well. Our 31st Princess cruise and 3 times to Hawaii, however our first time on the sapphire, so the ship will be a part of the experience. Finish packing tomorrow and then start our journey to LA on Friday. So starting our trip on Friday the 13th and ending it on Halloween? Nothing can go bad with that, right.🤞

Yup, our only option was shared table for our upcoming cruise. Ever time I checked it seems some venue and time options changed but not that. I booked it that way but will check onboard to get a private table.

If you upgraded to a higher class of stateroom there may be an increase in crew appreciation I do not know the length of your cruise
Not sure why that would be charged at the time of upgrade unless maybe if you had paid the CA in advance. Usually it is a daily charge once onboard if you don't have a package.

After a search on Google it appears that milk is complementary at the buffet but if you should order it elsewhere, there is a charge.
Very strange.
Princess milking customers. Squeeze out every drop.

Off the Sapphire last month and yes, can soda and bottled water were included on the package at any bar.
