Will be cruising  soon  Can anyone recommend which dining room I should choose to eat out which is the easiest to find thank you very much

Just look at the deck plans on the Princess website. If you are talking about the main dining rooms, 2 of the three would be directly aft of the Piazza. Capri on deck 6 and Santorini on deck 5. Amalfi would be the one in the back that is a bit harder to get to. You would need to go all the way to the back on deck 7 and then down.

Definitely faster and easier but... If there should ever be an actual disaster I have little doubt that many of the passengers will be ill prepared.

Many would have been under the old system as well.

  3. Last year they or at least some at Princess started enforcing the 90 day rule. Probably as an attempt to help the backlog and response time. I had a couple denied for being too early. Now it seems they have returned to ignoring it. I just sent one in last week for next year and it was posted the next day. I understand the reasoning for the rule but if I wait, I might forget.

On the Enchanted Princess TA there were no teenagers aboard so Marcus the CD announced that anyone was able to go to the game room and play video games or skeeball or the like.  I'm not sure if the club for the younger kids was open, but my guess is it wasn't.

That is cool. We were on a sailing recently with almost no youth. I mentioned to the DW what a waste it was for those areas to be closed. I wanted to go in and play some skeeball so bad 😃. A kid at heart.

On her now and drives me nuts.  Put tape on sensor to stop it from coming on, but still turns off after some seconds when you manually want it on.  No way to make light stay on in closet when you want it on longer.

Just off last week and I did the same. It would still activate in the night on occasion when nobody was up. You could pull the main card, but as far as I know that would disable all lights. Then you would have to put it back in when you wanted a light like the bathroom.  I made sure to tell them my thoughts in the post cruise survey. A simple switch just for that light would be nice.

We are on Regal now also. Just FYI, they did not test before our first Greece stop today but they did issue a covid ID card with a barcode on it to show in port if requested. Today in Kusadasi they did not request to see it but we are told that tomorrow in Istanbul we will not be allowed to exit the terminal without scanning it.

Sorry I goofed, it is late here. The ID card is for Turkey and is just that. Not sure it has anything to do with covid. sorry.

  8. Glad to see this improvement. I finally got ours for our next cruise after two submissions and two follow-up chats. Odd thing is that it still does not show in the payments section of the personalizer like our other sailings but rather in the onboard reservations section, simply listed as "onboard credit". They said that they had do enter it manually for some reason so maybe that is why.

Where can we get a proctored antigen test on the 8th or 9th of September 2022, in Civitavecchi, Italy, before boarding the Regal Princess on the 10th of September, 2022? OR, does Princess have something set up? Help!

On the same cruise. Our plan is to test at FCO on arrival but I am told that pharmacies in Rome have testing, not sure about Civitavecchia.

We were faced with the exact same scenario earlier this year.  We brought the Abbott BinaxNow proctored tests and did them in our hotel room.  We were extremely stressed about trying to find a place to test and the rushing around that would have been required. (This was to fly BACK to the US...when that was still required.)  It was stupid easy...just have the accounts set up before you leave home to make it even easier.  I would strongly suggest something like this.  Good luck in whatever path you take!

That won't work for this cruise as the visiting Greece rules apply. It must be in-person testing.

Am I correct that I can't use my online proctored tests that Princess recognized before?  And where do I get a test if I am in Rome 3 days prior to embarkation?

You are correct, Greece requires  in person testing as far as I know. Specifically stating that online proctoring will not work. The Rome airport or local Pharmacies will test for a fee. At least that is what I have been told. Will find out next week.

Hopefully, they will update their web site after Sept 6th.  There are lots of us that board in Rome (with ports in Greece) after you and are in "limbo" regarding the pre-boarding testing.   🥺

Don't see how the changes beginning on the 6th would have anything to do with the Greece rules. Otherwise the webpage section on cruises visiting Greece would have the until Sept. 6 wording like the others do.

Some of it does seem crazy. I see they have to test negative before boarding in Seattle, for entry to Canada, which is several days after the cruise starts. So…could be as much as a week later. I’m not sure that is really helpful, since someone could have picked it up while on the ship and Be quite sick before they ever reach Canada.

Same for Greece. Test two days before we board and the first Greece stop is day three, so five days out from the test. I think politicians everywhere just want to say they are doing something, even when it is almost pointless.
