I have been enjoying your review soooo much. We have a B/B starting March 24th in S1 aft and because of the veranda furniture actually starting looking at alternative cruises. We love breakfast on the veranda and dinner at least once in our suite.  I am so disappointed in the furniture or lack thereof. We actually spend a lot of time "lounging" on our deck and this is a VERY expensive cruise that will simply not be what we are used to with Celebrity.:classic_sad:

spending time in our cabin does not look "relaxing" at all!  I am hoping that Celebrity has this corrected before we depart...this is what happens when NON cruisers design the space. They can take the rocker and give me a table and decent chairs in the stateroom and loungers and a table on the deck!

    Totally agree with you.

If we don’t have any decent veranda furniture on our S1 corner aft Feb. b2b, after all the negative comments, the rocking chair will be going out to the deck. Looks like it takes up too much room anyway, making the suite seem smaller.

  2. My daughter has cabin 3202 on hold for one of the December sailings. It is next to a ladies’ washroom.

Should this be a concern? There appears to be two walls between the cabin and the washroom.

Also, the cabin appears to be at the end of a hall with no access to the washroom and restaurant. Is this correct?

  3. I just hope the Edge doesn’t have a mosaic in the BR of a woman looking down on the toilet......especially if that’s in a men’s BR! I”ll take the Celebrity cloth handtowels as a bene and leave it at that. By the way, I’ll not be taking photos in any of the BR’s......just passing that on to those that may share one with me on a future cruise.

You would have a male looking down on you on the Fantasy. Sorry, it was not the Dream.0b70d2b52723d2a37a5d6c399b1bbebf.jpg

  4. The next day was Olden. We slept well, I often wake early but the combination of the inside cabin and the comfortable beds resulted in lots of sleep!!

We went upstairs to the buffet for breakfast and were greeted with this view

Thanks for posting the pictures of Olden. We have been there three times. To me, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world!

  5. Our TA always gives us OBCs which are refundable. Celebrity’s OBCs are non refundable, and they are used first. Due to Celebrity’s generous OBCs, we often have some refundable OBCs left. We go to Guest Services on the last evening and they give us the balance in cash.

  6. I don't think this has been posted here, but if it has, I apologize. It is an interesting comparison of the 3 types of Celebrity afts. Looking at this, none of the afts are that attractive, but when the Edge gets all buffed and polished (especially Eden windows), she may have the winning aft, IMO (despite the asymmetry). I like the way the Edge aft cabins curve around and like the angular look of the other two less. I feel an aft poll coming on....;)

We stay in corner aft cabins on Celebrity whenever possible. We love the corner FV’s on M class ships due to the spacious cabins and huge balconies.

Our last several cruises have been in Solstice class corner S1 suites, which are spacious and the balconies, although not huge, are open to the sides.

We have a b2b S1 booked in Feb. 19 on the Edge. We are disappointed that the balconies appear to be enclosed, so no view towards the sides. Guess we will find out

  7. We have done the Norwegian fjords cruise twice on Celebrity M class ships. IMHO, Celebrity has the best itinerary. Olden is picture perfect - one of the most little places in the world. I would not do a Norwegian fjords cruise without sailing through Geiranger fjord, which is magnificent - the seven sisters, and yes the captain did a 360. It was awesome. Geiranger itself, at the end of the fjord is charming, and tours are available to the top of the mountain. Recommend going in the afternoon as it is usually foggy at the top in the morning. Bergen and Ålesund are beautiful cities. I can’t wait to take this cruise again.

We were on the Reflection in the Caribbean earlier this year. It is a lovely ship. You will not be disappointed.

  8. We recently booked b2b 10 and 12 day Australia cruises while onboard the Reflection. Nothing was said about a b2b reduction, but when we returned home our TA got the discount for us - $120 per cruise.

We also have 7 day b2b cruises on the Edge, and received $60 per cruise.

  9. We were on Reflection three weeks ago. Having sailed previously on the Solstice and Eclipse, we were disappointed in how dark many of the areas of the ship were - the atrium, main dining room and especially the ensemble lounge. The brightest spot was the martini bar[emoji16]

  10. I do not have any use for a butler. I am not comfortable letting anyone pack or unpack for me and all other functions (making reservations, bringing tea to our room, etc) are not something we really need.

Yes we have had butlers, but they had a lot of free time with us.

    Ivi

I totally agree. It would be creepy to me for a butler to be handling our clothes, especially our underwear.

On one Oceania cruise, the butler took away our shoes without our knowledge and polished them. It bothered us that he was lurking in the closet looking for things to do.

We have indicated on surveys several times, that we wish they would do away with butlers, or at least give passengers an option as to whether or not they want them.

We just returned from Celebrity Reflection, and the butler would not leave us alone every day, even though we politely told him that he would not be needed. On the last day, he offered to bring drinks, and even offered a bottle of wine, likely looking for an extra tip.

  11. We’ve had the corner fv cabins several times on deck 7.

You have basically two rooms with two tv’s, so lots of space.

The balconies are huge, with views to the aft and side.

They normally reserve these cabins for families until closer to sailing, so I wouldn’t hesitate to grab one if available.

    Enjoy!

  12. So as to not mislead the OP, these perks do not apply to all suites, on all sailings. For instance we just completed a sailing in a Sky Suite. It did not include internet, gratuities, or a beverage package (of course we could get free drinks in Michael’s Club). The only OBC was from our travel agent, not X. Our satisfaction with the Suite Experience has varied from exceptional to mediocre, as I’m sure one might expect from any cruise line.

That’s strange. We are on the Reflection just now in a sky suite, and we have all four perks- premium beverage package, gratuities, unlimited wifi, and a $300. per cabin onboard credit. We have five future cruises booked, all with the same perks.

The only cruises I’m aware of, that do not have all these perks , are the repositioning cruises.
