  1. Hilton serves both T2 and 3, both walkable. T3 a little further. But I agree with the others, I’d rather be in Southampton than Heathrow.
  2. There is also the Hilton Garden Inn at T2, not sure what terminal OP is arriving at.
  3. I was on Princess last summer and stopped in Livorno. Although I was on a ship excursion for most of the day I do not remember seeing anything like that. Once back on ship we usually go to the sunset bar (the one at the back) for a drink and I have no recollection of any similar notice. Maybe it’s a new policy.
  4. Thanks folks, I’ll let her know she’s not on Edge! 🤣
  5. Relative of mine is booked on Edge visiting Greek islands - but - I don’t see any itineraries for those dates, even when I select ‘show unavailable’. Am I missing something or can anyone point me to the itineraries for that period? Thanks N
  6. Had some of the best cruise food on RC Explorer OTS, beat X and Princess hands down. YMMV. 🙂
  7. I think it’s the listing that shows under posts you’re after. Click on your profile avatar, then Profile > Account Settings > Signature. Enter and format it in the Signature box
  8. So… what’s the best way to smuggle capsules onboard? 😎
  9. Ahh, just remembered I posted about this last summer, and some info on shuttles in other ports. I posted on our roll call at the request of someone on the next cruise. Here’s a link to Marseille, but starts at post 116 for Cadiz. So there was both, a ship one - pay on ship, and a free port one - pay on bus
  10. We were there last June. Princess put on a shuttle, dropped you a few minutes walk from the start of town. Can’t remember the cost, but wasn’t extortionate, maybe €10 - 20pp. Was a big queue to get back around 2pm, not so much around 3pm. Was very windy at the drop off/ pick up point from memory.
  11. For Florence, the walk from where the bus stops into the centre is flat but a good 15 mins each way, shaded though because of the buildings. Our guide didn’t hang around either. Pisa was worse though. 20+ mins in blazing sun with little to no shade, it was flat but some people really suffered on that one. That one should really should carry a health warning. There seemed to be a trolley bus, but it was never mentioned by our guide so we presumed it was for another group.
  12. I’ve gone for the English Bay Hotel at $180 per night. Looks a nice area, hotel reviews say ‘dated but clean’. Looks a good deal, guess I’ll find out in August!
  13. Could well be Covid, but remember we used to call it ‘cruise cough’ when we came off a cruise before 2020? Not every snuffle is Covid, and even if it is you got your vaccine, yeah?
  14. How about a b2b northbound, turn round at Whittier, then southbound? 14 days RT Vancouver. Packaged as a 14 day return, cheaper than 2 singles.
  15. Hi Try a search on a flight comparison website, that will show you available routes. Not sure what we can and cannot mention here, but one is owned by Google and my favourite is ‘a type of a canoe’. After that go to the airline websites that it throws up as it is often clearer there about hidden charges for luggage, seat choice etc. For example I was surprised to find that Icelandair no longer provide food on their long haul - just some very unappetising sandwiches to purchase. I’m betting you’ll route through Seattle or Chicago.
  16. Always found that the towel animal disappeared upon the next visit by the steward. Sometimes replaced by another, but no need to be concerned about collecting a zoo’s worth 😀
  17. Yeah - fair comment, my bad. They’re not what we would want from a balcony, but they certainly are balconies. Poor choice of words on my behalf.
  18. Completely agree, always do, but only Guarantees available on these itineraries.
  19. I’ll take another look. Thought one of them did 2 x Glacier Bay and 1 x Hubbard and vice versa for the other. Maybe I wrote the itinerary down wrong.
  20. Yeah, a b2b, although it’s now marketed as a 14 day. Multiple dates with same itinerary but looking at end Aug, early September this year on Sapphire/Grand.
  21. They both do, 14 days out of Vancouver, turning round in Anchorage. One goes to Hubbard twice and the other goes to Glacier Bay twice.
  22. Only other difference is the ship, Sapphire vs Grand Princess. It’s looking like the Grand as that does 2 x Glacier Bay, Sapphire does 2 x Hubbard and DW liked the look of GB on the online videos.
  23. Thanks for that info, fingers crossed we don’t get assigned one, but at least at night we won’t have folks walking past.
