  1. Please, please keep your little ones in diapers OUT of the pools. Accidents happen! We were on one ship and after a little one had a little accident, the pool had to be closed almost 1 1/2 days in August!! So not fair to the passengers. I'm not trying to be mean, so I'll add a statement about 'adult diapers' as well.

    Stay safe and have fun.

  2. Fairly cost efficient, there is a trolley tour , it's just over an hour long stops at a few places along the way , something a bit different than a beach day

Hi, We've never been to Falmouth, Jamaica. We need something easy. The trolley tour sounds nice. Do you know about how much per person and what stops along the way?

If you know of anything else, please feel free to share. We have been to Jamaica, Ocho, gone to Margaritaville. Interesting and nice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Safe travels to you!

  3. Replying to my own post LOL...Well, yesterday it was up over $400 more than we paid...Today it seems it's over $500 more...So glad we saw a price drop before this BIG sale...I'll always keep looking. Ya never know. Maybe it'll go down more before our final payment early August.

    Stay cool and safe :-)

  4. Can't believe what goes on with these "sales". I called my TA yesterday when I checked their site for prices. Low and behold my Oct 29th Anthem cruise went down about $184 and they applied my AARP discount! (D6 Balcony). Yay.

Later on in the evening, just for fun, I looked again...OMG back to BOGO...It is now more than $400+ than what we paid...Timing is everything! So happy I wasn't lazy to call at that moment.

I will still look especially after this 'sale' is over 7/17! Ya just never know when a good surprise will pop up.

Safe sails everyone. Going to be very hot in NJ :-)

  5. Hi cruisers,

This may sound a bit silly, but we will be doing the 12 night Western on Anthem in October. Since at times, we have a little difficulty walking distances, we were wondering just how far the ship docks from: Coz, Costa Maya, Falmouth, Labadee,(beach/bbq area) Hondouras. We know Gr. Cayman is a tender over.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there a bus or tram to get you to the beach in Labadee?

We are not planning any excursions, but if anyone has suggestions in the Port areas, that would be great.

Thanks in advance and have a happy and safe 4th of July!

  6. Have you thought about the Anthem, 12 Night Western Carib. Oct. 29th to Nov. 10th. It leaves from Bayonne, NJ. Sounds wonderful and looking forward to it ourselves. No hotels, no flying. we live about 1 hour or so away from the port! Nice itinerary. We've pretty much done most Eastern and Southern Ports. Haven't been to Gr. Cayman, Cozumel or Casta Maya. Have seen Jamaica, Hondouras and Labadee. Probably won't get off in Hondouras. Not that nice unless you do a nice beach tour. I'm sure whatever or wherever you go, you will have a wonderful time and great anniversary!! Share your decision...

    Safe travels...

  7. Hi: just checked with my T/A and RCI and here's what I was told: They take the brochure price, factor in the 'free' nights and maybe a C&A and that's what they give you! Zero, nada, bupkis...It is More now with this make believe deal then when we booked in February. Such gimmicks. I personally think it's false advertising, misrepresentations, etc. So not right...Oh well.

If anyone knows anything different, please share.

    Safe travels to all.

  8. Hi, I believe you can take the wine you bring on board, but I'm pretty sure there is a corkage fee per bottle. If it's wine from the TA or cruise line, I don't think they charge corkage for that. It's $15 or $18 p/ bottle.

If anyone knows for sure, that would be great! I don't mind learning a new thing or two.

we also will be on RCI - Anthem in Oct. accurate info is always good to know.

  9. Hi, was hoping since you seem to know a bit about cabins, do you know anything specific about cabin 11218 (D6)? Is the bed near the balcony door or? enough closet/drawer space for 12 night clothing? Any help you wish to provide will be most appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

PS If any other poster has information, please share.

  10. Thanks for the help! With all they are "promoting" and the raised 1st fare, we are still $200 LESS than their offer...Worth a shot to have checked it out. RCI not giving away anything these days...

Anyone know what benefit to changing to starboard side on the 12 night Western on Anthem? We usually book portside (which we did), but thinking of moving to starboard side. Would we see any "ports" when docked or just "ocean".

Thanks once again for sharing your knowledge :-)
