I just find it hard to believe over a year out... both early and late seatings are totally full and My Time is the only option left.
-
They are basically the same ship... most venues are the same. I would not think the port itself would draw an older crowd. My wife and I are 44... we'd be totally happy on either ship. There is going to be plenty of what you are looking for on either ship.
-
So, they are telling me MY TIME is the only option I have for my AUG Harmony cruise... that's the way it was even 8 months ago when we first booked.
Is that the only option we have or will it open up closer time? They told me both early and late dining are already full. I'm thinking thats not actually the case... they just won't let you select now.
-
Very cool! But why wouldn't they? It's just a GoPro, not a bomb. 😜
uuuhhh... because they don't want things falling from high heights! They have some restrictions on the zipline.
-
They will update us on the schedule tomorrow. Nothing as of yet. Captain sounded like his puppy died when making the announcement. Still better than a day at work, we will make the best of it. Already booked my next cruise and still love RCI, but I won't be on this ship again.
Ive been on Majesty... while it is older, it should be an OK ship... Faulty lifejackets could have happened on the new Harmony too, I guess. Anyway, there is no excuse for that kind of a delay, regardless of the ship.
-
Mechanical issues cannot be helped sometimes... faulty lifejackets CAN be.
Makes you wonder how long it has been that way since a (probably random) inspection discovered it

Our family had the Ben & Jerry SWEET and its connecting room last year. We did get all the sweet perks in addition to the ice cream vouchers.
Although many people on here argued about the perks we got, we got the gold card that gave us preferred seating, access to the CL lounge and the right to a cabana at Barefoot Beach, which the Concierge booked for us, drove us there, etc. At Grand Cayman, the gold card helped us to get on the ship quicker, just like Suite Guests.

When I look at room 6305 on FOS it just looks like a normal stateroom. One in the line of many just like it. What am I missing here?
It is a secret room.... you get Suite perks because of the view!

Just to share what we plan to do... We have 2 rooms booked on Anthem in March. DW and DD are booked in one room, Myself and DS booked in the other. Once on board, DW and DS will switch. So We will purchase 4 wow bands. Both my kids want one and so does my wife. Both of the kids bands will be programmed for their room. My wife's band will open the kids room, and she will also get my band (I don't want one), and that will open our room. My wife will no longer need her SeaPass Card so I will keep that with me and it will also open the kids rooms. Now, I will have both cards, with to Bev packages so I don't have to keep getting her card from her in order to get 2 drinks. She will have 2 Wow bands. In the very odd chance that she would be getting our 2 drinks.;)
Seems logical to me... right?
I know that if we get off the ship, she will need her own card back until we get back on.
EDIT: After re-reading, this seems overly complicated because of the 2 room switcheroo thing, but it would work just as well for a couple in one room getting 2 wow bands. Even if your SO never ever goes to get 2 drinks, just get them a wow band so you can keep their SeaPass Card on you.
dp
That makes great sense to me! Never thought about swapping WOW bands!

I have used this same exact model on many cruises.... big ships... small ships... never a problem. Always in my carry on

Well, this is a deal breaker for me! I'm gonna cancel my tour on harmony. I was specifically wanting to see the behind the scenes at the Aqua Theater... which used to be included but now is not. I didn't realize the $119 was the "new" price and the tour had been altered from what used to be included. Oh Well!
A few years ago, on a Freedom cruise, i won a Make A Wish auction that included the galley, laundry and bridge. I was specifically looking forward to the Oasis class things...

Not sure of OPs reason for doing this, but we book my wife and I in separate cabins with the kids spread out so that we get two balcony discounts. Then when onboard, we switch it up. YES, it's a pain in the arse, but worth it for the discount. :)
Not sure what you are saying... we book 2 connecting balconies and get the C&A discounts on both as it is.
-
We always book 2 connecting cabins.... we put a kid and adult on each reservation. Can the sea-pass keys be re-arranged once on board or is it simpler just to enter through the other room?
-
sounds good! Thanks!

I like to see a picture looking up from Central Park at the balcony cabins just forward and starboard of the center crossway that is overhead. Particularly interested in the few on the highest deck just forward of the crossway above.

I called RCCL tonight to request our rooms arrangements. We do connecting cabins and in the kids room, we like the beds apart. They told me they could no longer make this request ahead of time but we had to make that request with our cabin attendant once we boarded. Is that a change? Looks like to me has busy as things are on boarding day, they'd like to know that ahead of time and not have to redo the room (and change sheets again). not a big deal... just seemed odd to me they could not take that request.

Mine (for Harmony in August) was available last week AND it was on sale $119 instead of $150. My final payment isn't due until the end of April. It was in the CruisePlanner under Entertainment and Activities.

We were in one of these rooms on Allure... overall we liked it.... it was larger, more room because of the angles wall. Closing the curtains at night did not bother us at all. I'm not sure why they call it obstructed... other than it may be because they do not want the curtains open at night. We did some when the lighting was low in the cabin.
If I would think of drawbacks for these cabins it would be 2 things... #1, You can hear and feel the bow thrusters when entering and leaving ports... there is quite the vibration and noise. I only mention this because most of noise is of early mornings when docking... #2.... it is a long walk to to the elevators but that didn't really bother us, but it does take a few minutes to get to the Aqua Theater, for example.

How long does it typically take to see the refund on your credit card after canceling an excursion? I got the cancellation confirmation immediately via e-mail but 3 days later I still do not see the credit on my account.
-
They are free if you are in a suite. $4.95pp for everyone else. There will either be a table set up in the promenade or at guest services.
Will they work at the arcade for the kids?
-
In addition to the drinks, internet, I've noticed a lot of things are reduced for Labadee too... parasailing, zipline, waterslide.
-
It seems like as a cruise approaches and they haven't sold the expected amount of packages they lower the price.
We show a price reduction for internet packages and the refreshment package for our April cruise but nothing has changed for our August cruise.
Our August cruise on Harmony has all kind of sales... internet... drinks... and alot of Labadee stuff. I've saved over $100 this wknd checking prices... canceling things and rebuying! I'm pleased!
-
A LOT of good sales on LABADEE excursions.... Saved $56 on 3 zipline tickets too!
This has been a great weekend for discounts!

How do you know what Terminal you will be coming into?
Will Harmony always be #18?
