  1. Does anyone know if the $40 Rum and Coke package can be purchased on the ship for the same price? I read it takes 48hours to deliver. Has anyone pre bought this and was it in your room when you got there?

It is in your room waiting when you board... It is quite a pricy bottle of rum too, but the convenience would be great!

  2. good thing you did not have to go to the medical center.... I would have wrote a letter for sure about price gouging had I not had trip insurance that covered medical. $275 for a round of Amoxil is outrageous. That was just the med's... not the visit. I was desperate though.

I had been battling re-occuring strep and had delayed my laser tonsil ablation until after our cruise.

  3. On my Anthem cruise it stated the package was 20% at $48 - today it is showing $48 but without showing that's 20% off???? I had read that the normal price once you board is $60 ish. But every ship seems to be different

The 20% off banner disappeared on my cruise planner but the price was still the same. Today, the banner is back on there.

  4. Does anyone have experience of maybe the smallest sizes of tuxedos that are available to rent.... e.g., my 12 year old son.

I wear suits everyday... I despise taking a suit on a cruise... plus, for my son and myself it would probably mean a whole extra suitcase by the time you take suits, shirts, shoes, etc.

I usually rent a tux out of but this would be the first for my son.

  5. We have stayed in one of these rooms before... on Allure. It should be very similar. The room is actually a little larger.... the front wall slants with the ship so it gives more room towards the floor. Thus, the curtains slide on rods that are attached below and above the window so that the drapes to not hang out into the floor.

If there were a drawback to this room, I;d say it would be that the curtains are asked to be shut after dark so the light doesn't interfere with the bridge... and then we could always hear/feel the bow thrusters as we came in and out of port... not a huge deal until you were trying to sleep in a bit and would get awaken. It was quite a vibration at times. We were on deck 8.

Some people would complain that it is a very long walk to the elevators... it is but it didn't bother me until you were waiting at the elevator and realized you left something behind... then it is quite a walk.

  6. I was looking forward to using them on our Harmony cruise this summer. However, the one drawback I see is having to remove them to give the bartenders. I can see some confusion if he/she is serving 3-4 guests at a time. Looks like to me they would have a mobile reader to process the transaction at the seat, poolside, etc. Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me of having a Wow Band and having to remove it. Might as well use the card.
