In the main dining room on other cruise lines we've been able to order an entree-portion of a starter and vice versa.  Do you know if this is also possible in Tamarind?

One of our party isn't terribly excited about the entree options but might like multiple appetizers, maybe a larger portion of an appetizer as a main course.

I have ordered the tempura shrimp app as my entree (several times on Koningsdam and once on Nieuw Statendam).  They were happy to oblige. They gave me 5 which was perfect along with some crab fried rice.

  2. I was trying to make a booking and edited the cabin selection and it says the one I want is selected but the next step reverts back to the one they assigned. I’ll have to call on Tuesday.

I just got off the phone with my travel agent. I mentioned the issue noted above about Azamara not having the credit card information. Sure enough, they did not. She gave them the information and supposedly, my refund has now been issued, “but could take out to thirty days” to post to my credit card.

So it worth it to contact them again and make sure they have the CC.

I will let you know if I see the credit show up.

Took an additional ten days but I finally got our refund posted to the credit card this morning.

  5. I tried sending an email about our overdue refund to three addresses I got from the Elliot advocate page mentioned above. I sent it on May 26 to  AzamaraGuestRelations@Azamara.com and CC’d the two executive contacts for “Guest Services Manager” and “Chief Administrative and Information Officer”.

The Guest Services Manager one bounced as undeliverable. No response from either of the other two addresses.

  6. Yep. Same. My loyalty points balance is incorrect. Sent another form again this morning, this time using the form from the link in the response email. This one let me attach additional documentation. So I attached a screen shot of my loyalty points level from before the transition. I fully expect that I will get the same response.

At the time, I thought I was just being paranoid when I took screen shots of my future cruises, all my cruise history and my loyalty page from the old site.

  7. Ship - Pursuit

    Cabin Number - 8060

    Month/Year sailed - January 2023

Would you choose this room again? - Absolutely

Is noise an issue - No. Very occasional low rumble of a trolley overhead. Once or twice a day and never at night that we noticed.

    Room type - Club Continent

    Concerns:

        (1) Light comes in under the door at night (we like it dark dark) so we would place a beach towel there when we went to bed

        (2) Water leaks on both sides of the shower door creating substantial puddles. We placed the tub mat a bit over toward one end and a hand towel under the other side. They’d be soaked by two showers. Otherwise loved the big shower.

Conclusion - loved the size and location. Our butler and steward were friendly and attentive. We’ve booked the same cabin for a future cruise.

  8. On Pursuit right now and there are three tonic brands available. Royal, Schweppes and a South American brand. I can try to get the exact name if you are interested. DH is happy with Schweppes so we haven’t tried to find out if there is any fever tree onboard.

Schweppes is visible and available on the trays at the Windows bar and at Spirits. We also have Schweppes in the minibar.

My disappointment is there is no Diet Coke. Only Coke Zero Sugar.

  9. For our sailing around Antarctica on Azamara Pursuit after week in Peru pre cruise. Wore crops and trainers in Lima, long pants  and socks with trainers in Cusco and Machu Picchu. I brought three pairs of shoes, trainers/hiking shoes, black faux leather Easy Spirit Traveler slip ons, and comply hiking sandals. I also threw In a pair of flat rubber flip flops for to/from the pool or hot tub

The wind and cold is pretty biting in Antarctica. I wore Cuddleduds (kind of like longjohns) and am happy for them. I also suggest glove liners  as my hands got pretty cold. I bought an alpaca scarf in Peru. Raincoat  over a fleece plus my fleece hat. Figured out after a while that I brought along a stylus. I can use that for my iPhone to take a photo or video without having to take off my gloves. Wish I’had brought warmer socks.

I'm on the cruise after you- different itinerary but some similarities. Have you been told when and where your white night is? If it's held outside, it can surely only be Puerto Madryn?

No information about the schedule for white night that I’m aware of.
