  1. Good morning. Thank you to Rich for the Fleet Report and Daily and to Roy for the list. This is going to be short and sweet as we are going to have breakfast soon and get ready to hit the road. YAY! Prayers for those on the cares list, especially for those recently departed and condolences to the families of @rafinmdand @StLouisCruisers Also @StLouisCruisershope your leg is feeling better today. Prayers for those who have not been in touch for a while. Hope they are doing okay. @dfishHope you are enjoying your cruise. @smitty34877Welcome home and hope Tana is doing okay @marshhawkprayers for your DH as he undergoes biopsy. And prayers for everyone else who needs them. @dobiemom Welcome home. Hope you had a great cruise. Good collection of days. I love Ice Cream. Especially Sea Salt Caramel—my newest favorite. Wrong way Corrigan—Well, sometimes going the wrong way helps you discover new and interesting places. Emojis—I’m not real good at them. Always trying to figure out what they mean. Love the quote. The meal looks good, but we will be eating out today on our way to Williamsburg. The wine looks good and the price is right Have not been to the port. Cheers to all those celebrating, vacationing and cruising. Enjoy and stay safe. Please pray that we have a safe drive to Virginia. Have a great Sunday everyone and and God Bless, Terri
  2. Good evening. I am late to the game again. However I did want to check in and say hi to everyone. As for the days I love spinach, but keep my distance from snakes. I remember the “woodie wagons” but not sure I ever rode in one. The meal and the wine both sound good. It was a busy Saturday. Since we are leaving for Williamsburg tomorrow I had to move up my appointment to get my nails done. So that took some time. I also decided to fill up the car and spend a fortune doing that. Bought a house gift for our hosts. Then I came home. Expected to get my packing done. However, DH lost something and we spent a good part of the afternoon looking for some thing that was never found. God only knows where he put it. this is nothing new. Finally am all packed except for the last minute stuff tomorrow and then off we go. @StLouisCruisers i had the same pain behind my knee for the longest time after I had Covid. It finally left me. I have no idea what it was but it was also keeping me awake at night. I found that Tylenol helped somewhat and Voltaren. Also elevating my legs. I think you just have to let it run its course. I hope it gets better soon. We are going half way tomorrow and stopping in Rocky Mount, NC. We will then continue to Williamsburg on Monday. Just don’t want to do 8 hours of driving in one day. Will post when i am able. Hope everyone had a good day today. God Bless. Terri
  3. I received a refund. Not sure if that is still in effect. Read the FAQs. Under “Onboard” and then “Health Considerations”. First question answers your questions. Terri
  4. Good morning, Thank you to Rich and Roy for the lists. Today proves to be another rainy day here in the Low Country of South Carolina. However, Jim and I are going to escape this soggy and humid weather next week. We are getting ready to take a short trip up to Williamsburg, VA to visit some friends. To be fair we took Covid tests last night and we both tested negative. We did it early because, if we tested positive, we would have had to cancel hotel reservations. Thankfully we don’t have to do that. Happy to get a change of scenery for a few days. Really looking forward to seeing our friends and catching up. Today’s days are a nice collection. While we don’t have a dog, I think it is important that they are kept safe when there is a fire. I do respect Canada as our northern neighbor and also i respect all Canadians. We became friends with many Canadians while we owned a timeshare in Barbados and still keep in touch with some of them. I’m always giving something away. Have another box ready to go to the Thrift shop and to the Self Help Store. I like the first part of the quote but am confused by the second part. Maybe it is taken out of context. I will skip the meal. I have no idea what it is. The wine looks good, hope the price is right The drink sounds good as well. I have never been to kangaroo islands. Prayers for all on the cares list and cheers to all celebrating. @Vict0riannI hope Pat gets his luggage soon. Good luck. We had a problem like that in Berlin a few years ago. Both our bags did not appear on the carousel. They showed up on the next flight and were just stored in the luggage room. However, British Airways sent me a text that they would be on the next flight to Nairobi, Kenya. I was livid. After hours on the phone, the bags were finally located. We went back to the Berlin Airport to join hundreds of other people looking for their luggage. Two hours later, our bags emerged. Don’t know what would have happened had we not gone back to the airport. RIP for Buddy and Nora Brown and prayers for the family members they leave behind. Prayers for those with Covid and all those who are having health issues. Have a great Friday and stay safe. God Bless, Terri
  5. Sorry I’m late to this, but Happy Birthday to your DH. Terri
  6. Welcome to Cruise Critic. Most of us are more welcoming and gentler in our posts. Especially to new posters. You do not look like an idiot. We have all been first posters and others should understand that. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to. There are plenty people here willing to help. Terri
  7. That is giving her too much credit. However, I must say he is a good dentist. However, if I ever need another root canal (God forbid) I will ask my dentist to send me elsewhere. Terri
  8. They do not test unless you report that you have symptoms. The other reason for testing would be if a certain port of call requires testing. I am not sure if they are still testing on back 2 back cruises. It may depend where the turnaround port is. They will no longer test passengers returning to the US by plane since this is no longer a requirement.. if someone does not show symptoms and is not aware they have Covid, Oceania would not know of that person unless testing was required because of a requirement in a port of call or a back2back. That is what happened on the Nautica and I think is how I picked up the virus. At the end of the first cruise there were quite a few people who were leaving the ship and flying back to the US who tested positive. They were either not aware they were positive or declined to report symptoms. They then had to quarantine in a hotel in Lisbon rather than fly home. At this point if they were flying to the US, they would not be required to be tested and they would just walk around the ship infecting others. Terri
  9. It depends on the ship. There was never a tray or cart outside our door. We were in a PH on the Nautica. The only time there was a cart or trolley was when we ordered meals. Then the cart would leave and come back when we called to have the dishes removed. Otherwise, the outside of our room looked like any other room. Terri
  10. I still cannot figure out how to separate the photos and add a caption to them. Terri
  11. It is very possible. We did quite a number of HAL cruises (especially in the Med, and sometimes in the Caribbean) prior to moving over to Oceania. We usually sailed in a Neptune Suite. Might have seen each other in the Neptune Lounge. Sorry we did not get to meet. Terri
  12. Back from Endodontist’s office. All I can say is that people have jobs and they do not know what the #$%& they are doing! i am trying to be nice. It took her 45 minutes to figure out how to pull up the first EOB. Then she could not find the claim for the secondary claim. When I asked to see the resolution she said there is none. Then she wanted the balance. I said NO. She will refile the claim. We shall see. Terri
  13. Just a few photos of our time in Athens prior to boarding our cruise in Piraeus in 2018. We could see the Acropolis from our hotel room.
  14. @dfishDebbie, have a wonderful time and enjoy every minute of your cruise. Stay safe. Terri
  15. Melissa, This is such good news. I am so glad he has made good progress and is able to return home. Prayers for his increased recovery. Terri
  16. Good morning. I think I need to check in early lest the day slip away from me like yesterday did. Thank you to both Rich and Roy for the lists. Again, my condolences to @StLouisCruisers Sandi on the passing of Buddy. Prayers for your family during this sad and stressful time. May he Rest In Peace. As for the days, i understand the importance of sharks, but keep them at a distance. I don’t need and pandemonium in my life. I have had enough of that. Just need some peace now. I like Mac and Cheese and wouldn’t mind some. As long as someone makes it for me. Not fond of Marilyn Monroe and the quote is typical of something she would say. I will skip the meal. Coconut and cabbage are not two of my favorites, So I will give that a pass. I have never had an amaretto sour, but I would like to try one. I will wait for instructions. Like Rose and it fits my budget. May see if I can get a bottle. Been to Piraeus a number of times and stayed in Athens twice. Don’t know if I can find some photos to posts. Today I have to go out and do battle with the endodontist’s office. When I had a root canal back in May they wanted half the money and said they would file the insurance claim. Now they want the other half. I have dental benefits under two different sources. First under my health insurance and secondly under DH’s union. I tried to explain and brought the forms with me that my own insurance has to be filed first and then that EOB must be sent to DH’s union. Well yesterday I received a bill for the remainder of the amount less the $9 my insurance paid with the notation that DH’s union paid $0. When i pulled up the claim from DH’s union, there is no claim. So Lord knows what and if they filed anything. This is my third trip to that office regarding this claim. I gave them the claim forms, put sticky notes on them with the instructions on what needed to be filed first, etc. They just do not pay attention. I am certainly not paying them another $850 when there is no evidence of a claim being filed. I will try to be nice and patient when I am there. End of rant! Prayers for all on the cares list. Cheers to those celebrating and cruising. Enjoy but be careful and safe. The Omicron variants are showing their ugly heads again. Happy Bastille Day to our French Friends. Have a wonderful day. God Bless, Terri
  17. Sandi, Has any of your medical providers mentioned getting an MRI? Something is going on. Terri
  18. Good afternoon. Happy Tuesday. Thank you to Rich for the Fleet Report and the Daily. I like the days. I really appreciate cows mostly for the products we get from them. Milk and cheese, etc. I am not a fan of red meat, but many do. So cows are an important part of our dietary needs. Etch a sketch. I’m sure I had one as a child. Paper Bags. Well, here in Beaufort County, plastic bags are no longer allowed. So paper bags are in abundance. Also reusable bags are encouraged. I am a bit confused with the quote. I have read The Notebook and seen the movie. I am trying to figure out where in either the book or the movie that quote would fit. I have to skip the meal as pesto and my tummy do not get along. However the drink and wine both sound good. I have been to Whitehorse. Thank you to @rafinmdRoy for the Cares and celebration lists. And Condolences on the loss of your cousin,. Prayers to all those on the cares list, especially Buddy, Tana, and @Heartgrove’s brother as well as nephew of @HAL Sailer. @grapau27 Prayers for your Sarah that she recovers quickly from Covid. @durangoscotsSusan, hope you heal from your wounds from your fall. How wonderful that your neighbor came to your rescue. @aliaschiefglad you are on the plane. Cheers to all who are celebrating and cruising. Hope all have a wonderful Tuesday with sunshine and clear skies. God Bless, Terri
  19. To those of you going to Europe. A word of advice from my Mayo Clinic orthopedic doctor. Go to a pharmacy in any country. You can get a higher strength Voltaren over the counter. Just ask for Voltaren Forte. It costs about 20 Euros. i have two tubes at home. Must more effective than the OTC you can get in the US Terri
  20. Do you have any Voltaren? If so, rub it on the back of your knee. Also some advil may do the trick. So don’t aggravate it and take it easy. Listen to Dr. Terri. LOL. Terri
  21. I am sorry for your loss Roy. Prayers for her and for her family. Terri
  22. Debbie, I hope this resolves quickly. There is someone else on CC that had to buy a return ticket and is now trying to get reimbursed from HAL Flight Ease. Don’t let them do this to you. Terri
  23. Thank you Graham. It left me with some pulmonary issues. That is why I was terrified of getting Covid and it took me so long to recover from it. Terri
