We will be visiting Havana next week on the Empress and intend to have lunch somewhere after our tour. Can anyone who has been there advise on approximate prices in restaurants, about same price as the US or more or less ? We obviously don't want to change more money than we anticipate that we will need. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anthem does aswell.

350 DKK is about $54 USD using today's rates. We have RC transfers pre-booked for August CPH to the ship at $27 USD per nose, or $54.
YMMV
We have used the ship's transfer twice after cruises on the Serenade, back to the airport for $27 each, I would certainly recommend it, easy and efficient. Pre-cruise the taxi from the airport to our downtown hotel was about 380 DKK which is around $58 I think.

Thanks so much Carole, it worked for me.

Interesting chat. We're on Brilliance in late August and looking forward to comparing the CL & DL. Last year on Navigator they were SO different both in style and clientele.

We are on the Brilliance at the moment. Both lounges are on deck 13 - the Concierge Lounge has a nice bar that you can sit at plus the lounge area and an outside terrace too, the Diamond Lounge just has lounge chairs and tables.

I am on Inde right now, I will try and find out.
At meal with an officer today on Independence, I asked the Captain and he said dry dock was going to be in the Bahamas and another officer said that the date was April 3rd I believe.
-
Have they changed this sign for the Suite sun deck?
We are on the Independence at the moment and I did notice the other day that the sign hanging on the ropes which separate the Suite sundeck area looks as above except that the wording now says something like, Access for Guests with Suite Concierge Cards only, - I will check out the exact wording today.
-
Does anyone have access to Cadiz Ports to see if Independence of the Seas is booked in for a dry dock in April 2018.
Or one of the passengers on Independence of the Seas soon could ask at Captain Corner please where drydock will occur?

If you are not using a smartphone app, then one option is to upload photos to a photo sharing site such as Photobucket and put links to the photos in your posts here.
Thanks for the info Bob, I will try to do this once onboard.

Hi!
My DW and I are embarking on the 12-night Venice cruise departing July 12, 2017 on Brilliance. We are both Diamond C&A and will be staying in an aft-facing balcony cabin.
I have scoured these boards every which way and unless my search skills are not what they used to be (certainly possible!), I'm finding very few reviews of Mediterranean cruises on Brilliance. Maybe everyone is so busy touring Europe there is no time to post! - haha
If anyone is out there that has cruised and can provide copies of cruise compasses it would be greatly appreciated! I was able to find the compasses online (not on cruisecritic) of the 2016 cruise, but would like to see the latest and greatest. Pretty much I'm looking for logistical tips and tricks - tender times, show information, other ship suggestions, etc.
If anyone has questions for me will be happy to share my plans. We are flying in from east coast of United States (Newark, NJ airport) into Barcelona one day early, staying at Hotel Jazz with a tour booked with Barcelona Day Tours on departure day. BDT will drop us off at the ship mid-afternoon. We have all other tours booked through italytours.eu which gets fantastic reviews. We then fly home after getting off the ship on the 24th.
Thank you!
We are on this same cruise June 18th - unfortunately I am not sure how to post pictures on here but would gladly photograph the cruise compass each day and e mail them to you.

$38.50+ 18% ($6.93)= $45.43pd x 7 = $318.01 for a week's cruise versus $363.44 if I buy now.
I'm looking at Jewel for this summer. Bit worried by the comment that the price on board can be as high as $61pd. It was $55 last week on Vision!
We are on the Independence right now and it is $61 per day before any C and A discounts.
-
We are on the Independence right now and the Spanish VAT is only charged when you are within 15 miles of the Spanish coast - at least that is what the Bar Manager at Vintages told us last night. There was no VAT added to anything we purchased yesterday.

Thanks for all the information. I updated the Google Doc. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Pz4Im5qh4cqd1zE5A9srLm3wGd0_SNZwTdbLTa59EF4/edit#gid=1209646832
We are leaving the Serenade this morning and here is the latest information I got from Mario and Perla last night -
Mario currently in CL, leaves for vacation 7/16 and returns 8/26
If we see him this morning I will try and find out who replaces him on 7/16.
Perla currently in DL, sign off date is 8/26, however she has asked for an extension till 11/1 but it has not yet been confirmed
-
Thank you so much for doing this thread, we are on the July 15th sailing and all this information is great.
-
We are on the Serenade right now, Mario is in the CL and Perla is in the DL. I will try and find out when or if they swap over and when their vacations start. Both of them are superb.

Rubyfisch,
Love the review. We are sailing on Serenade in October. Can you tell me if there are many tables for 2 in the main dining room. Also can you comment on the comfort of the beds. We have heard that the beds are very hard. Any information on the shape of the ship would be greatly appreciated.
We are on the Serenade also, and after our first night I can report that our bed is very comfortable. We ate at Chop's last night and it was extremely good. The ship seems in excellent shape. Off to the Meet and Mingle shorty and hopefully will meet Rubyfisch.
-
We are also on the same cruise. Flying to Copenhagen today - see you onboard.
-
Good drugs if you ask me. JS on Mariner was 9,600 for all three legs. Flight to Singapore through Air2Sea is less than $900.
We got a JS for the Dubai-Barcelona leg for $3300 which I thought was pretty good.

We will be turning Pinnacle in the near future and would like to know everyones opinion about which ship would be a good one to book for this momentus occasion. We will be on Rhapsody right before and are thinking of just booking b2b and becoming Pinnacle on Rhapsody. Any ideas?
Not sure what choices of ships you have but we became Pinnacle on the Brilliance last year and they really made it a wonderful extra special occasion for us. We had disembarked the Harmony two days before boarding the Brilliance and the LA from Harmony just e mailed the LA on Brilliance to confirm our points. Many many congratulations to you.
-
We have been on Harmony twice and neither time did we upload our photo in advance - we did not experience any difficulties or delays at the port. Hope you have a great cruise, Harmony is a beautiful ship.

Breaking news, apparently we are on the August 2018 Serenade TA to Boston as well. Booked onboard a couple days ago, she must like the ship. I also hear she booked the week prior going to St Petersburg. That is my bucket list cruise. I have no details yet on cabin choice or cost
We will get to meet you eventually, we are also on the
TA.
-
The Serenade TA is extremely popular. We booked yesterday and there were plenty of choices of JS's and GS's, however today they are all gone - I also checked on other websites and all sold out !!
-
When we became Pinnacle we were in a GS anyway so had a gold card and all the perks that went with it, however we did not get the complimentary Internet. Congratulations in advance.
-
Just booked Vision 12 nights from Barcelona to Barcelona for June 2018 and it is $800 cheaper than the Brilliance is this year which we are also doing for the same itinerary.
Havana advice please
