Well that is unfortunate. I would have liked to bring a couple of bottles of wine to consume in my room, but does not make it worth it to pay $15.00 per bottle do to that. Oh well :(
It's a better deal than the wine on board.
A 15$ bottle will cost about 50$ on the ship. You're money ahead paying the corkage.

Jog faster.

Cruise out of New Orleans. You'll be doing the western from there.
The line really won't have an effect for you.

What does 'partially locked' mean?
I'm trying to imagine why if there was a problem that you wouldn't report it to the desk while aboard the ship.

Since you're paying 18% on your dinning package remember to get the form at customer service to remove the auto daily gratuity or you'll be double tipping. When I had this perk because of staying in a suite I tipped the cabin stewart in cash on the last day because he's not included in the food services tip.
For the OP--- read this post very carefully. Then it is easy to understand why taking this advice is a bad idea.

Got it. Personally, it's IPAs. What I'm hearing are zero IPAs. Which I can deal with, but a heads up is nice!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Forums mobile app
The escape has a beer list that includes IPAs. Non-issue for me, I'll never be on it.
I have never seen an IPA on the other ships. Saw a porter once but it was a weird circumstance.

I thought it was a pretty good mix:
Bass
Becks
Amstel Light
Sam Adams
Pilsner Uraquel
Heineken
Dos Equis
Corona
Coors
Miller Light
Bud
Take out the Bass Ale and the Sam Adams and you have a bunch of American Light Lagers. Some nastier than others.

Hello!
I've seen a lot of mention of the cocktails on the ships, but am having a hard time finding what beers the ships stock. Does anyone have a menu or list?
[/url]
You will find dozens of American Light Lagers from all over the world.
There will be Guinness, Blue Moon's hefe, probably Boddington's and Bass Ale.
And that's about it.
If you like the Light lagers you will be in heaven.
If you're a beer geek......you'll want a mojito.

Usually the uneducated beer drinkers think this.
The micro brew stuff is usually garbage that can never be reproduced. (and the bars are always closing down)
All the micro breweries that pop up in the US sell this bath tub beer and sucker folks into thinking its better that the beer that has been made for over 200 years not just in the US but in England, Ireland and other places.
I will take a real Guinness, Boddington, or Murphy over the imitations they come up with in a Micro Brewery. I will also take a miller or a Bud over there lager or pale ale.
This is a pantload of nonsense.

A cruise is an excellent opportunity to wean the tykes off of the 'kids' menu.

Ships don't have pediatricians. MSC does offed "Pediatric Telemedicine" services, but they aren't on the ship.
No? Well then, that would change things.
-
You'll want to check with the ship's pediatrician as soon as you board the ship.

On the Breakaway the best is the "dirty water" hot dogs from the push carts---yummy
Safe sailing
PS-most items at OSheehans are good, especially late nights
You're saying that best food on the ship is a hotdog from a street cart?

Hi,
Can any of you remember when NCL started charging 18% service charge on the UDP that passengers get as a free perk?
Thanks!
I cannot remember when this happened.

Donuts and pictures of famous dead Americans.
Not in that order.

Has anyone been trapped, lost in the Alaskan trapezium?:p
Well, we won't be hearing from anyone who got lost there.
-
I'll have to say that very few cruises stop off in Bermuda!
Tom
Well, I don't know of any cruises to Alaska that include a stop in Bermuda.

Darn spellcheck! Seeing some of the luggage people were hauling, furniture would not surprise me.
Very true.

I know two people who were kicked out of alcoholic halfway houses for drinking mouthwash, which is 20% alcohol. For some children it is their gateway drug (Charlie Harper). Just because it is not supposed to be a beverage, does not mean that it is not. Drinking mouthwash is a lot cheaper than buying alcohol on the ship. I had to ask three people before I got permission to bring the mouthwash on the ship. I got the idea that if duty free still had mouthwash I would not be given permission to bring my own in from the port. If they allowed it, can imagine people bringing huge bottles of supposed mouthwash on the ship, with a note from their dentist that they have halitosis.
No one with halitosis needs a note from a dentist to prove their case.

Just off the Epic from Port Canaveral. There were tables and trash bins full of confiscated bottles and packages of water, sofa, etc. there was also one electric coffee maker in a box sitting on one of the carts. They are checking closely.
I didn't know that they wouldn't allow sofas on board.
Huh.

I am taking my 23 year old daughter for her college graduation to Alaska in June. Meeting with a travel agent on Monday but feeling overwhelmed. Celebrity vs. Princess? Inner passageway, Glacier Bay and others? Where do I begin? Thank you in advance.
Don't choose a ship that is going to Bermuda.

We've not been on the Breakaway and never will. However, the menus aren't exclusive.
If you ever see the pumpkin-crab bisque, you need to have it.
-
The MSC website will have the info that you so desperately need.

When people do that, I just give them a stern look.:p
I'll bow to that wisdom.

That works. The selection is limited.
