  1. Yes, that’s the address I used. I didn’t receive the generic reply, though. I will hold on a bit longer before re-submitting. Thank you.
  2. I emailed and asked for email confirmation when it had been applied. I’ll just wait a bit longer, I guess. Sounds like it’s pretty random. Thanks.
  3. I applied for shareholder credit for my upcoming January cruise last Saturday, 9/24. I still have not received the credit. I also applied on the same day for a HAL cruise I have in February and received the credit two days later. I’m new to Princess, so I am just wondering if they normally take this long or should I re-submit?
  4. Okay, thanks everyone. I thought location was the only difference, but I wasn’t sure. I picked Da Vinci. 👍
  5. We are new to Princess. We will be sailing on the Crown in January. I am making my dinner reservations. Since there are two dining rooms offered, I wondered what the difference is and if you have a preference and, if so, why? Thanks for any info.
  6. Thank you all! I usually wait until I’m onboard to book dining, but this is a last minute 7 day cruise we just booked and most of the earlier times are taken (I don’t like eating too late). I do think I will wait until I’m on board and just take my chances that there will be an opening earlier. I appreciate all of the info!
  7. I am hoping one of the 5* mariners on this board can answer my question. We made 5 star on our last cruise. One of the perks is a free specialty restaurant dinner. On my upcoming cruise, I would like to book that complimentary dinner ahead of time. When I go to the dining options to reserve, they want to charge me. Do I pay ahead of time and then get credited back on my statement when I get onboard? I’m guessing it has to be that way since it doesn’t give me the complimentary option when booking. Thanks for any help.
  8. I started cruising with HAL in 2011 at the age of 60. I don’t remember when I hit 4*, but it seems like I was at that level forever! I just hit 5 star on our last cruise and I am now 70. I would have hit 5* in 2020 at the age of 68, but we all know what happened.
  9. I have the standard package on my upcoming 10 day cruise. We always buy wi-fi. If I upgrade to plus with this promo and add everything up, I will be getting the drink package for $179 per person. We aren’t huge drinkers, but I’m thinking we could each drink $17.90 per day, between soda, alcohol, and water. And we would need to buy a ship excursion to take advantage of the $100 excursion credit. I’m debating. Hmmm.
  10. I filled out the form again and re-submitted it that way. Here’s a link to the form I used. Hope this works for you! https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/deals/sandiego-military-appreciation-offer.html
  11. The same thing happened to us. My husband is the veteran. I re-applied for the military credit and it was added to my re-fared booking. Same booking number and still under my husband’s name. It happened within a day or two. We don’t have a PCC. I do all bookings myself. Maybe re-apply? It shouldn’t be a problem.
  12. Did you add the plus package after booking? And if so, how do you do that?
  13. Thank you SO much. You have cleared it up for me. I also found some YouTube videos with good explanations. I’m not feeling so overwhelmed now! 🙂
  14. @Steelers36you seem to be pretty knowledgeable, so one more question. I guess there is more than one dining room? Do I request the dining room when I reserve my time? And how do I know which dining room to choose. I’m so confused. LOL
  15. Okay. Thanks. I’ve found the sticky about DMW and I think I’m starting to get it. I normally cruise with HAL and I am used to being able to just walk in to the dining room when I am ready to eat (Anytime Dining). Sounds like Princess has done away with that option. Bummer.
  16. Thanks. So, am I correct in assuming that I will have to reserve in advance or can I just reserve when I’m ready to eat? For instance, it’s 5:30 and I am ready to eat. Can I reserve right then for 5:45 and then head to the dining room or would I have to reserve it earlier than that?
  17. I am taking my first ever Princess cruise in January. I am confused about the Medallion App dining reservations we have to make for eating in the MDR. Can we make reservations on a daily basis? For example, if it is 4pm and I want to eat that night at 5, can I make the reservation on the app for that night only? How far in advance do I need to reserve my time? I was recently on Carnival and they took reservations every day through their app. You would reserve on the app when you were ready to eat and they would text you back when your table was ready. Is it like that? Sometimes I don’t know when I want to eat, so it was nice to just reserve when I was ready to eat. Any information from recent Princess cruisers would be appreciated! Thanks.
  18. Salad in the Lido. I love all the salad choices they have!
  19. You’re right. It’s still early. I’ll wait to see what happens. Thanks.
  20. So, I am cruising on a collectors 17 day voyage in December. I booked it as one cruise, but it is essentially a back to back. According to the HAL website, no test is required if you are vaccinated and on a cruise 16 days or less. I wonder how this would apply to my 17 day collector cruise? Has anyone looked in to this scenario? I will call HAL about it, but thought I would check here first. Hold times can be long. 🙂 A copy of the text from the HAL website is below. Thanks for any insights! Update: Simplified COVID-19 Procedures On Most Voyages On cruises that begin on or after Sept. 6, 2022, vaccinated guests sailing on voyages of less than 16 days with the exception of Panama Canal transits, trans-ocean and other special itineraries will no longer have to test before boarding and only need to show proof of vaccination.
