  1. Thank you all for the replies. I have a better understanding now. I am curious because it seems emails are being sent for both my upcoming cruises in Oct and Nov and I heard nothing from Princess and I do get emails from Princess not always via my TA.
  2. Are "Bid" emails only sent to passengers that booked with Princess? Has anyone heard if it is just random who gets them. I know Princess has my email address, but are these going to our TA and it is up to the TA to forward to us. Anyone know? Just trying to figure this out
  3. That is actually called Code Share and is quite common.
  4. I cruise solo. Mini bar = 1 bottle of their low value wine. It has never been anything other than 1. OP could choose 1 bottle of wine per the 3 segments. I think they are more interested in the Perrier, though.
  5. These seem to be the Royal/Regal cabins with the balcony being a patch of the former beautiful promenade walking deck, is that correct? Are there vibration issues with these cabins on Promenade aft?
  6. Not sure exactly what you are looking for here. There is quite a lot of entertainment around the ship. Refer to your daily newsletter aka Princess Patter for the listings. But, Don't miss Spotlight Bar and Rock Opera even if you have to sit and wait in the theater.

  11. IMO you actually SHOULD CARE. I also am double vaxxed and boosted. I cruised on Discovery July 31st sailing. I wore my mask some of the time, not always, I did attempt to avoid crowded placed and properly social distance. My issue was mainly the elevators. People ignored the signs. I may have stepped into an empty or near empty elevator, people pushed/crowded in even when seemingly full. So by the time I got to my floor it was like sardines. On Thursday/Day 4 after I disembarked I tested POSITIVE for Covid. I had mild symptoms, likely because I am double vaxxed and boosted. I did my isolation and tested negative on day 14 on home test kit. On my way today to have a PCR test. It can happen to you, just sayin'
  12. Will there be any perks left when Princess' new president finishes having fun taking them away one by one. This is a sure way to keep loyal customers happy. Yeah! I see this whole loyalty thing crumbling to an end sooner than later. Any bets?
  13. On Discovery July 31st Alaska. NO elite bathroom amenities at all, NO Princess blue bag. Minibar was there but traded in for wine and did not pay attention to what items were there. Robe was in room on the first evening.
  14. I am booked on a Sapphire 15 day Hawaii sailing from LA in November. It has been unavailable for booking now for weeks. I can not get any information from Princess. I have a few thoughts, It could be so popular that it has sold out completely. It could be they are attempting to limit capacity. It could be they are planning to cancel Sapphire sailings like they recently did with the Diamond, which I suspect will be the case. I can't imagine Princess could easily overcome their issues causing the Diamond cancellations. I just wish Princess would make their decision already!
  15. I was on Discovery Princess July 31st Alaska sailing. No evidence at all of limiting capacity. Full ship and back to the usual long lines and full elevator issues. Yes, they did seem short staffed at times, but crew was still great. It may vary by the popularity of location

  17. No, it is only available pre-cruise at full price. So I just said cancel the purchase. My cruise is in November, so I have time and will keep my own money for now.
  18. I just cancelled my mistake of purchasing MedallionNet in the App. I used chat. They know about it but no information regarding if or when they may fix it. This is just another way Princess has found to get our dollars for their use. My dollars are better off with me for now. I will check on it closer to sailing
  19. I was just now pleasantly surprised when I called the Princess phone line to get MedallionClass App help and was asked by the recorded voice if I would prefer a call back when it is my turn. FINALLY! Thank you Princess. I have not seen any mention if this and appologize if this was already known.
  20. I just made the mistake of booking it in the App. I heard that booking it on board they will not allow the $10.00 per day rate only the $15.00 per day rate. I did not realize it was ever right in the App since I was not looking for it until now I do not want the $15.00 per day rate even at 50% off. Way overpriced for what little you get. The current version/outsource of MedallionNet is a bad joke IMO. The earlier MedallionNet was OK, but not this current version/outsource. Wi-Fi on Princess before MedallionNet was better than it is now. Sorry, not a fan, but I still need it.
  21. I did lunch in the MDR, Skagway I believe on my embarkation day in Alaska on July 31st. Had salmon, good as usual.
  22. Are the car rental shuttles to the car lot still operating at Nawiliwili harbor port, Kauai? Unable to reach anyone by phone at the rental agency
  23. I had a recent positive experience on Discovery Princess booking the Crown Grill. I had Princess Plus with an added specialty dining cover promotion included. The App recognized it and allowed me to make my night of choice reservation and DID NOT require my credit card. I checked on reservation once on board, all was fine. BTW, I was told the Crown Grill was completely booked and when I was there it was half empty. I sensed they are limiting number of patrons due to staffing issues, maybe ???. Unless your specialty dining cover was a Princess promotion I think it requires a credit card by default from what I have been reading. If you have gifts or TA perks expect to have to use a credit card if pre-booking or wait until on board and book early.
