  1. i think the cup was $9.00 and the lid was $3.00. These are the small ones. I like the bigger ones. You will need to buy them early. They ran out in the middle of the week back in October. This was without a drink prices. THEY do put the tip on as if it was a drink also. I wanted the cup or i would not have paid that. lol

  2. We had two waters added to the end by room steward. We explained that we took our own water and did not drink the water. Customer service argued and we finally got the credit. One time we had a charge for a towel of 22.00. We stated we purchased a towel and had no need to steal a towel. It was a long conversation and then they took it off. It has happened more than once. we always tell them to check our towels in, because they leave the doors open at the end and anyone could pick up a towel. i never have any room to steal a towel......

    packed to the max...

  3. I understand only officers can. White uniforms. We did see a lady in a white uniform chew a new one for the pizza guy. He was just speechless with his mouth open. I reported her. Do not know if it mattered. I did on the Triumph, being the first ship see crew eating tacos at the new taco bar. It did not bother me at all. We did comment that in several cruises, that was the first time ever to see staff eating with us. They wanted tacos and that was fine.

  4. I will say in Carnival's defense: My mom just had gallbladder surgery and was moving very slowly. A nice carnival employee got a wheelchair, without us asking, and put my mom in the chair and away we went, they pushed her all the way in front of a bunch of rude people all the way to the lido deck. My mom had lung cancer at the time and was diagnosed as soon as we got home. We would not take anything for the time on the cruise with her. We fought the cancer long and hard and we lost her within 6 months. She never smoked and was never around chemicals. 1% get small cell lung cancer and she was the one. We admired carnival for their help without even asking we got the royal treatment. Mom would have never asked for a chair. Angels were watching that day and provided for us. I was amazed at the people that would not get out of the way as he pushed her to the ship. She loved the cruise. Help is there. Maybe the lady just did not ask for help. I say Carnival will help....

  5. I agree the disposable camer i bought was terrible. snorkeling it was just blue water, you could not hardly see the fish. with the snorkel lens on i tried to do the best, but the pictures all looked the same. the Walmart employee just charged me a 1.00 instead of the 20. plus they charge because of the quality of the pictures.

  6. Yes, call them more than once. My first cruise was a mess. four of us and booked all together, but separate rooms. Got on the ship and two was on one floor and eating at one time in one dining room and the other two was on another floor and booked in a separite dining room at a different time. Went to the mait de and he said all that was left was late dining and we would have to eat at 8:45 and we took that to get together. It was there faULT.

  7. We were on the Magic the week of March 18th 2013. Cruise director said 1576 kids on board. She did not have to tell us, they were running everywhere. Comedian said Free Range Children on the boat. Like free range chicken. lol They were in the elevators pushing buttons all the time. I imagine the parents were in the serenity area away from them. lol We still had a fun cruise. Just know in March it is someones spring break. the whole state of OK was on board. It was their spring break.

  8. we were on the Magic one spring break. Comedian talked about free range children... lol like free range chickens. Cruise director said there were 1576 kids on board that week. One kid was laying in the elevator floor and would not get up. i asked her if she had nothing better to do. she laughed. one kid was our own elevator attendent. he asked what floor we needed and he was there several times we went down or up. yes they had to entertain themselves. ran loose the whole week. did it bother me. no.

  9. I would say also go enjoy. Kids in the hot tub another matter. I had to request that kids leave out of the hot tub. I wanted to enjoy the quite. Kids were in it alone. Who knows where their parents were. I asked them to leave and they did.

I did see several young looking teans enjoying it. I see no problem if they behave. Loud and crazy , yes i would ask them to leave and not have a problem with it.

  10. Well, Let me tell you in March 2012, we took my mom who had just been diagosed with lung cancer, and no, she did never smoke in her life, and she was the 1% that got small cell lung cancer. Before we started chemo and radiation we already had the cruise for her scheduled and we went ahead and took her. We did not know it would be her last.

Anyway we were in line waiting and a nice Carnival employee came and asked if Mom needed assistance. I guess she had the look of worried about the line. He put her in a wheelchair and took her all the way to the lido deck and put her in a chair for lunch. We were so impressed. No we never asked to go ahead of the others waiting in line. We were waiting to board and so were 100's of others. It did amaze me that there were so many rude people that would not get out of the way with him coming thru with a wheelchair and us following behind. He was saying excuse me and steadily pushing her on to the ship. In Carnival's defense it was very much appreciated. We lost mom after 6 months of cancer treatments and we were so pleased she got to go on her third cruise. We wouldn't take for that week. She loved Keywest and got to eat keylime pie. If you need a wheelchair you can ask.

  12. I was on the Triumph in October and Manuel the bar server was the best. Everywhere we went he spoke to us with our names. He did take care of the 7 of us. If you are going on her soon ask where Manuel is. Meet him. They earn the tips they make. Now the room steward, that was another story. He needs to quit... Enough said... I did not let it bother my cruise. Had a good cruise. I will say that the Magic is so much newer and larger and nicer than the Triumph. It is still an old ship. Ship wear and tear that the newer Magic has not had yet. Like the caddy to the kia. Nothing to compare. Choose Magic out of Galveston is given a choice between the Magic or Triumph. We will. We got what we paid for. It was a very cheap cruise. I ate enough for what i paid for the cruise. LOL

  13. I have had three adults to a room and i have slept on the couch bed. On the Magic and on the Conquest, we were in a room with a window view. But last October on the Triumph we were in a room with the couch and o bunk overhead. The room steward made the couch to a bed that looked like a 100 pound person could have slept in. I told him i wanted the couch made to a let out bed and he continued to tell me it was for me to sleep on the way he had it. It was like a couch, narrow. He said it was a new sofa and that was the way it was. I told him to make the bed out and leave it out all week. I had to make the bed out. It does make to a let out bed,but it does take up more room and the room was too small on the triumph for three or four in one room. Smallest room we had ever been in. Magic has decent sized rooms. I had to get him to understand to leave my bed out each day. It was like he would not understand i was not sleeping on the couch. It was too small. Normally three can do good in one room. It was hard on the Triumph. Conquest and the Magic had nice couches.
