I did another check after hearing once again “Celebrity is so expensive”.  I believe I checked Regent this time.  Well for a veranda cabin Regent was much more expensive.  I couldn’t see the discount people are talking about.  I do this every time someone says this.

I would like for people to be more specific.

I would love to know specific dates, cabin category, Celebrity price, other company price.  What is or is not included.

Regent includes everything, flights, excursions, specialty restaurants, internet, drink package. All one price. For non domestic flights, business class air fare as well.

  2. I was so surprised when Alex, the shoreside concierge for the Ascent, when we asked for Evian and Perrier for our concierge suite, said we would have to go to the Retreat Lounge to get them and that the mini bar was not included with our suite. In the past, the butler brought the water, soda etc. and placed it on top of the mini bar.
I have sailed in many Celebrity Suites and I have never encountered this. I understand that Sky Suites were encountered this policy, but I didn’t think it included Celebrity Suites.

We will see what the butler says when we get on the ship.

We book mostly sky suites. But will book Aqua and just started booking celebrity suites. Our cruise in Sept is in a CS.

March 2019 we sailed on Edge in a sky suite. I did like that we could not order off the MDR menu in Luminae. Retreat Lounge and Luminae had lost its intimate feeling. The Retreat sundeck lacked shade. So I dont like booking E Class. Back in Jan after the news of the changes to the OV and prime rib. I canceled 3 sailings in sky suites.

For us the lost of a dedicated Butler is not a big deal. Our Butler brings us breakfast at 7am. We get the same thing each morning so it is nice to only have to fill out the form once.

I have now decided to cancel an Alaska sailing in a CS for fall 2024. I have been looking at Royal's GS. This morning I looked at Oceania and Regent. Oceania doesnt seem to visit an glacier. So I'm leaning towards Regent. Still have to do more research on dining. I'll just have to put up with the dresscode.

Celebrity, I will now only book close to sailings for suites only.

    Celebrity has lost my trust.

We have sailed on Regent and the only dress code is no jeans after 6 p.m. Long pants for men and usually button shirts.
    Regent is wonderful.

I have so many questions about this, but I'll wait a bit for those. But first, I'd like to link CC's own article on President's cruises, where the one on X that just disembarked was highlighted: https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/everything-you-need-to-know-about-a-presidents-cruise

    Now, to those questions:

    1. How did you find out about this cruise?

    2. What ship is it on?

    3. Is it available to book?

    4. Any special guests announced yet?

    5. Any special activities or excursions announced yet?

Thank you in advance for satisfying my curiosity. I'm sorry about the lack of answers (except for the link).

I booked this cruise on the Beyond for my family for our 50th anniversary. When I booked, I didn’t know it was a Presidents cruise. It is on Beyond and available to book. This cruise is going to Perfect Day at CocoCay

  5. Our extended family booked next year’s June 23, 2024 cruise before it was announced as the President’s cruise. Our four cabins are in the Retreat. All the years we have been cruising Celebrity, we have never been on a President’s cruise.

Can any enlighten me as to what to expect.

    Thanks so much.

  6. Now that Celebrity is stopping at CoCo Cay and we booked a cruise on Celebrity stopping there, I need some information. We sailed on Royal Caribbean for years until we switched to Celebrity. On RC, we were supposed to stop at CoCo Cay three times and failed to stop there because of the rough seas. That was before RC built Perfect Day.

please bring me up to speed. We will be ten people, including two teens. Everyone can do their own thing. I am interested in the Beach Club.  We have a lot of OBC. How is the Beach Club?

The grandkids would like the water park. Our children and significant others, I am not sure.

    Can you give me suggestions?
    Thanks so much!,

  7. Originally my husband and I booked four cabins for our family in the retreat for our 50th anniversary next year on the Eclipse from Bayonne. We would all save on airfare. I would have liked to sail on the Summit from Bayonne.

Yesterday, I saw a June sailing on the Beyond from Fort Lauderdale that was $9,000 cheaper with a Celebrity Suite and three Sky Suites. Also got more OBC.

Even with the airfare it is still cheaper. Our children and grandchildren will love it.

Beyond and Summit are our favorite ships.
