  1. Thanks. Just confirming as I had looked on halfacts.
  2. We did not receive tiles on the Zaandam from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale this month. Did receive a note in our stateroom that said: " If you wish to hold on to this card, we will be more than happy to offer you an extra tile on your next sailing." It won't be on the Zaandam but on the Koningsdam. The card also said: "With the number of tiles in backlong and because of extensive logistics challenges, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily halt distribution until we are able to resupply. " I am taking that card and will see what happens!
  3. We have this room booked on the Koningsdam in January for Hawaii. Good to hear no noise. We have never had an aft balcony and are looking forward to it. Is there any cover on the balcony?
  4. So happy that you are now free and can enjoy all the ports on this cruise. Thank you for keeping us all informed about your covid experience on the ship.
  5. It has been a very long time since I have posted on the daily. I have tried to keep up with all the news. August was very busy for us helping with the grands. Now that school has started that will slow down a bit but we will still help when there is early realize of Wednesdays and of course go to as many soccer and track meets as we can. thinking of you today, Jacque as you celebrate. Jose. We are on the Oregon coast and not near any of the fires in The willamette valley but are getting g a good share of the smile and heat from the east wind. Praying for all those affected here in the Pacific Northwest. Looking forward to getting on more often again. Missed all the news. Cheers to all celebrating and prayers for the care list. Happy travels to those sailing soon. Mary
  6. We booked at cruise with HIA for Oct. 2023 on board while were on the Nieuw Statendam recently No crew appreciation included with the HIA but a good amount of OBC. Checked recently online and it is now included for our cruise. Our TA was able to get it added to our existing booking without changing rooms or getting less OBC than we did from booking on the ship. Now it makes HIA a much better deal. Never hurts to keep looking at your booking for any changes.
  7. Our fare on the Oosterdam in Oct. 2023 stayed the same. I have emailed our TA asking to add the crew incentives to existing booking or rebook. Will see what happens.
  8. We are totally checked in on our next cruise. Only thing haven't done is health survey which happens before we sail. Hadn't printed our boarding passes or luggage tags. We received and took an upsell yesterday. Now I am glad I didn't waste paper on tags and boarding passes.🤣
  9. Good morning here still. A bit drizzly but suppose to be warmer. I think missing children's day should be everyday. I can't imagine the heartache of losing a child and am praying for all those people in Texas involved in the school shooting. Thank you , Roy for adding them to our care list. We had our granddaughter before school this morning and will pick her up as it is early release for her today. I will make sure she gets to her piano lessons this afternoon. The grandson shows up at 2:30 after school to tell me all about his day and practice his trumpet. We cherish our time with them. We should be in Oslo in a few weeks as we board the NS on June 10. I am starting to gather things to take. Weather will be all over the place on this cruise. But that is what layering is all about. Stay well and safe everyone. Prayers to all and many cheers to those celebrating.
  10. We always tip extra to our room stewards, bar staff that we have interaction to often and once even the gal who was cleaning the women's room. We got to chatting once and every time after I would see her (even in the hallways) she called me by name and wanted to know how my day was going! She had tears in her eyes when I gave her an envelope the day before we disembarked. I am sure with her personality and dedication she will move up in the hierarchy at HAL. One more comment. We usually received comment cards in our rooms on previous HAL cruises. This time we didn't on either our September 2021 and Feb. 2022 cruise. Do we need to pick them up at the front desk now? I kept waiting for them!!
  11. We almost transferred our Volendam booking to another Voldenam cruise in August. Instead chose the NS. Glad we did. I thought all along that HAL might be letting the Volendam go longer for the Ukrainian refugees. I was happy with HAL doing that in the first place and am not surprised they are extending the time. Believe me, I know how stressful it can be to transfer a cruise and cancel shore excursions, etc. But nothing compared to what is happening to those refugees.
  12. Good morning on the wet Oregon coast. Will try to get a walk in this afternoon! Not holding my breath. So good to see your post Jacqui. Take care of yourself . You have great support here on the Daily. Thank you to all who post and keep us informed. Prayers for all even if not on the care list. Many cheers to those celebrating. Have an awesome day everyone.
