It's a little tight for my taste, but you should probably be ok. I would make sure I got off immediately, and had a driver waiting, not a group shuttle.

I have often thought to grab a whole key lime pie and leave it in our cabin fridge to enjoy all week.
For the new menus, will the Key Lime Pie be one of the whole pies served at dinner?

I feel as a vegetarian I am being forced into eating at the buffet.
Last year we ate at the buffet one night for dinner. I asked what items were vegetarian. After talking to 2 waiters and a chef, I was told that very little on the buffet was vegetarian.

I doubt things are booked already. Probably just not available to book yet.

Since they are 13 and 14 you should not need photo ids.

Spring Break covers any period of time from Feb to the end of April. Colleges from all over the country will be sending students to Florida. However, they will mostly be on the shorter cruises. If you can find an 8 day cruise that will have fewer college students.

In Nassau you can get very nice mini bus tours at the port. Then I would head over to the Fish Fry area for a wonderful lunch.

Why doesn't Carnival go to Europe? :(
This past year the Carnival European cruises were not very full. Just the general economy and the high airfares.

That sounds really strange. I'm sorry he acted that way. I think I would have spoken to Guest Services about him.

What did you decide? I'm thinking of doing the add-on snorkel with Bodden in January.

Don't think it will be on the Ectasy by 12/30. So far, just on Glory.

What's the difference between vegetarian and non vegetarian mushrooms?
Depends on how they are cooked. If cooked in oil, vegetarian. If cooked in meat juices, non-vegetarian.

Depending on how you booked, you might be able to sub in someone else in your place.

I will wait till I experience the new menus in person, but I am skeptical. Being a vegetarian, they seem to have discontinued my favorites (fruit soups, cheese plates, etc).
The emphasis on steaks does nothing for me. I can't even get an answer about what soups and appetizers are vegetarian. I wouldn't think they need to hide the ingredients.
I guess I'll wait and see.......

I would assume the price difference has to do with how many ships are in port each day.

I bring a lot of $1 bills. ($100) Porters, piano bar guy, room service and drink waiters. Back in college, I was a drink waiter at a bar. Mostly other college students, with no money, so tips were very minimal. I try to tip well.

I've been up in front on the lower decks before and enjoyed the cabin very much. It was April, and I never felt any wave motion.
-
Big group going on a budget. Which deck for rooms? Bottom of the ship versus under the kitchen and dining rooms?
Deck 1. There are still cabins underneath, but crew cabins.

Thanks for the review. We sail in January and can't wait to be in the warm sunshine.

The Customer Service people have told me to go down there. It's no bother to them.

I do treat myself to dessert nightly. But if I get something that doesn't taste good, I try to stop eating immediately.
I will have to look for the Key Lime pie. I love lime!
-
Do you have to sign up for this ahead of time, or can you do it once on the ship?
-
I'll be doing the same with my daughters next month. As long as you don't want a boarding photo together, you will be fine.

Are they cooked on the grill with the meat? Or brought out from the kitchen? Just wondering if they are vegetarian. Anyone know?

This surprises me. We had a friend who went on and on about his AIs, and how they were so much better than the vacations we took.
I never looked into AIs, but I never thought about the drawbacks either.
I do love cruising, and I love visiting all the different ports of call.
