Hi, Our cruise is booked on the Rate Code PB4 and we are Paid in Full. Currently booked on Mardi Gras, out of Miami in September 2024. We’re interested in switching to Celebration, out of Miami in September 2024. First hand experience using rate code PB4 and switching ships ?? We are so far out that we don’t see a problem. Is there a fee to change? But, thought I’d ask here tonight, before calling Carnival tomorrow. Thanks, 🛳️🛳️ Bobbi

We’re going on the Horizon this Fall. I always buy the Premium Plan, especially on the older ships. But, since I believe the Horizon is one of the newer ships, will any of the 3 Internet Plans be up to speed? I don’t FaceTime. I do watch Netflix and go on the internet & take photos. Thanks, Bobbi

Hi, Since I wrote about my concern over Labadee, Haiti before our current cruise, I thought I’d share our experience. Ok, ….. nothing horrible or frightening to write about, just a clear beautiful hot day. 😁😁 We did have our Snorkeling excursion cancelled the night before the Port. The letter mentioned “mechanical” issue. Of course, we received a refund on our account. We are having a very, very relaxing cruise. The month before this we have been packing non stop for a move to another city. 31 years of “stuff/our lives” is quite the task. Me & my hubby have just gotten into a do nothing groove on this cruise. So, having 4 days of visiting different locations have been fantastic. After dinner a bit of gambling & then to the cabin for an early night, then Up early for the new day 🌞🌞 🛳🛳 Bobbi

We’re on Harmony right now. Most if not all crew members were wearing masks today. Just got on at Noon. Though we both just recalled that the young woman who signed us in for the Safety Drill thing (at our Mustard Station) was not wearing a mask. Though, our Muster Location was outside at the Aqua Theatre. 🛳🛳 Bobbi

We had first seating tonight(starts at 5:00pm) in the MDR ( we’re on Harmony). From start to finish 1 hour and 40 minutes to anyone who wants to know. Ok food, luke warmish meal. No surprises there, it Is what it Is, but it’s always nice to just sit back and have everything brought to you 😁❣️ 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Hi IslandLady, Of course, this afternoon we received an email from Royal stating they’d keep us posted on any itinerary changes. I just popped over to Carnival Board to read the latest comments on their Hurricane Ian thread. Freedom of the Seas still going to (or was it changed to?) Nassau. So, assuming Royal’s stop in Nassau will happen …. Unless it doesn’t. 🙃 We’ll know when the “weather let’s” Royal know … 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Mike, Thanks for pointing out these 2 reasons why some folks cruise during Hurricane Season. We have vacationed the last part of August into September for over 25 years. Except for an Alaskan cruise, they have all been beach locations. We quickly learned to love the lower costs of land vacations & less of “us tourists” !😄😄 So far on our August cruises we have never, ever become part of the Hurricane 😊. I wear a patch, hubby isn’t bothered by the swells … We board the Harmony tomorrow, looking forward to being onboard. 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Hi, Haiti has been listed by U.S. Govt Level 4 advisory in 2022 for quite awhile. Today I read about this current crisis & unrest. Has RCCL issued a statement on upcoming Labadee port stops? We’re on the Harmony at the end of the month. Personally, me & hubby will be staying onboard. Yeah that term “out of an abundance of caution”. Actually though to me at least, it’s common sense. 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Me too, just loved not having the crowds. But, I’m cruising with or without the masses. Always a place (my Balcony) for downtime when I feel the need for just me & the ocean. 💙💙 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Well thank you for a solid suggestion. I guess I need to say again, we’ve never been to CoCo Cay. We’ve been to Labadee & enjoyed ourselves. I paid for a floating mat for our day here. So, yes me & my hubby will check out You Tube for ideas. Things like hiking trails, with small signs to describe the plant we’d be seeing. Perhaps there is a stream on said hiking trail. Maybe a free small museum on the history of the island. Nothing fancy since it would be free to educate the visitors. I appreciate your reply, 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Merionmom, I asked a legit question on this board. A poster named 3 bars as a thing to do, “activity” if you will. This lead me to think that … WELL, if we want to do an activity we will have to pay for one of the activities that RCCL offers on their website. Oh, but thank you for pointing out the many free things one can do on a beach. Never in our life would we have figured out that looking at waves is FREE??? Laughing at Seagulls too?? FREE?? 🛳🛳 Bobbi

Hi, We’re vaccinated & boosted. Did I misunderstand the thread regarding Updated Protocols? I just finished reading it. #1 passenger no longer need to be vaccinated. As unvaccinated passengers are allowed. Beginning September 5th or so … #2 passengers cruising on cruises under 9 days don’t need to take Covid tests before boarding.* (* Depending on the Countries visited & their own rules) So, then why do we need to upload vaccination records on the App?? 🛳🛳 Bobbi
