  1. If you have a late flight from FLL there is another option...the airport has baggage storage. More info at :

    http://www.broward.org/Airport/Services/Pages/Default.aspx

Public Baggage Storage is available in Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4. Enjoy exploring the airport or surrounding communities without the impediment of having to take your luggage with you. For more information, call 954-359-5505

    Terminal Hours Days

    1 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday

    2 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Seven days a week

    3 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday

    4 9 a.m. - Noon Saturday, Sunday

We stored our bags while we went to a movie last month after our cruise. Our flight was an evening flight. The cost to store the bags was $6 each and have to be picked up by 5pm.

  2. We are 9 days out (and I am hoping that my "Patience" of waiting will payoff with a nice upgrade BUT if it doesn't I am happy that I will be on a cruise) and still no cabin assignment.

If we arrive at the port without an assignment who do we see to get one to put on our luggage? or do we just put tags with no cabin numbers on it and go off to check in?

    Thanks for your help!

  3. We did it and it was fun but we probably would not do it again......unlimited drinks (martini's ) that they make....not an open bar...

    unlimited deserts...very good...

It was $23 per person $20 plus 15%

  4. We arrived at the pier at 11:30 after getting a ride from http://gomjstrans.com/MJS_Trans/Home.html from a Fort Lauderdale Hotel (to Miami).

We informed that the Oceanview Cafe was open for lunch but we knew better and headed right to Bistro on 5. We were the first ones in there and had to wait a few minutes for things to get going but we were in no hurry. Lunch was good and we started exploring the ship.

Our rooms were ready around 1 and we headed to check out our room

As you can see in the above picture we received sparkling wine, fresh fruit and tea. We had booked the "self- explore St. John" excursion and the tickets were on the bed. We also received a 50% specialty restaurant coupon for that night.

The bottom drawer is the trash can and the other two drawers were too small for any of our stuff.

Notice the stopper for the sink to the left of the faucet (about 3 tiles down from the mirror). We could not locate it when the room steward had activated it after a cleaning and the sink was getting full of water....lol

I LOVED the anti-fog mirror...only the left side did not fog up but it was great to be able to see after the shower was used.

  5. I am the one who posted on the roll call about the hair dryers...I read somewhere on cruisecritic that on one of the ships something happened with the hair dryers and they were all removed. (OBC was issued) I cannot find the post where I read that. I made a mental note to bring my own for the sailing of the Reflection.

I appreciate all the information that I receive from everyone on cruisecritic. It was my intention to just share information with my roll call about the removal of hair dryers not to start a panic fleet wide about not having a hair dryer.

I sincerely apologize about starting a rumor....

Cheriberi I hope that you will post a hello in our roll call so we can get to know each other there.

  6. Thanks to everyone's information on this board, we have decided to do the "self explore of St. John" . DH is not a early riser so this is better for us.

We have decided to go to Cinnamon Bay. One reason is due to the amenities. I looked at their (National Park) website and it says that the restaurant and beach rentals are seasonal.

If we are going over Thanksgiving is that in "season"?

If anyone has anything they want me to check on please let me know.

    Thank you!

  7. Shower gel, which was nice…and shampoo/Conditioner combo. Worst stuff ever. I thought I would’ve gotten an upgraded shampoo with my toiletries but I did not. Only a bottle of conditioner.

A look over at one of the closets. Mom used that one.

I had a letter on the bed explaining the elite perks. I was also supposed to get a questionnaire to fill out for this cruise. I never got it. I asked several people and no one could tell me where to get one. Eventually I went to the circle host desk to ask and she told me pretty much what others did, it’s issued from the shore side of things and if I were to get one it should’ve been in with my perks letter. And to this day I still have not gotten a hold of anyone who can help me with this.

I used the drawers at the desk for many of my things.

I used the closet in the background there and on the other side there were shelves and the safe.

Thanks for the pics of the cabin we will be in this cabin in March :-)

No pool noise is good to hear :-)

  8. Is this for your upcoming CB in Dec.? That cruise is sold as both a 4 day and a 9 day; which are you on? Cabin availability depends on booking levels on both cruises, not just your own itinerary. If on the four day I would say stick with your GTY and see what happens. If you do get upgraded, it likely will be closer to sailing and dependent on what happens on the much higher priced 9 day itinerary as well as demand on the 5day segment immediately after yours. If on the 9 day I would say pick what you will be happy with, there won't be much in the way of upgrades on a holiday sailing.

We are just on the 4 day...decided to take the price drop with the OZ....with the first price drop we decided to go from IF to OZ...now with the 2nd price drop we did a re-fare. I was able to get the refare even though we had just done a nonrefundable, non changeable deposit.

    Yay! :)

  9. Would like all of your advice....

Save $30 person and stay in Guarantee OZ or move to a Guarantee OV

There are lots of OW cabins left but only a few OV and up (in oceanview)...

I would be happy in any cabin (hey I am happy to be cruising) BUT I would love to increase my chances for a nice upgrade....

  10. She agreed that most of her clients allow her to do her job and appreciate her time and arent looking to save/pinch, every penny they can.

I think you should find another TA for your next cruise who will appreciate your business. I would attend your meet & greet and ask fellow cruisers who they use...

Happy you saved 40,000 pennies! :)

  11. The deposit required (for March) now is twice what we have made and will now be lost if we have to cancel...so I think we wait to see what else comes up...

For the December cruise the required non refundable deposit was half of the deposit made. While I don't have extra money to throw away, only losing a small deposit would make it easier to swallow...

    Thanks again Hooiser Cruiser!!!

Oh...and DH nixed the mini cabin idea....lol

  12. With a cruise booked with a TA, you were lucky a Princess agent was even willing to talk about your cruise much less make changes to the booking. It violated Princess rules for when you use a TA.

Sorry...Princess did not discuss my booking...I asked Princess if the sale was for new bookings only or were re-fares permitted...and I asked what happens if I have referral credits and the cruise is cancelled...then I shopped around with other TAs and then gave my TA another call and one of their agents re-fared it for me no problem...

The 4 adults are myself, DH, his daughter 21 and a friend of her's (female)

  13. Thanks Hoosier Cruiser....on my December cruise went from lowest inside to lowest OV for $20 more per cabin and then somehow got $25 more OBC...I'll take it....

Had to call my TA twice...first agent said I couldn't do a re-fare and that I would lose my FCC (referral) if I cancelled the cruise....called Princess to find out all of that was BS...shopped around for the best deal and then called back again to see if they would re-fare it..got an agent that had no problem doing it...lesson confirmed today...if you don't like the answer you get...try again....lol

Now on to the March cruise....my dilemma...4 adults currently in two sideways insides (2 each)...stay put or all of us in a mini-suite?....Where is the upper bed located in the mini?

  14. Would you mind taking a picture of the closet please. I've never had a small closet on a cruise' date=' but I understand the Grand's closets are different.

Also, I was watching a video tour a passenger took on the Grand and there is an area with couches and tables outdoors in the shade, but I can't figure out where that would be? It doesn't look like the sanctuary. If you come across it, please let us know.

    Thanks.[/quote']

My son is currently on the cruise on his honeymoon but I will send him a text once they are in port to ask him to take a pic of the closet for you :)
