  1. There is a mocktails page in the drinks menu. However, if you see an interesting alcoholic drink, do not hesitate to ask if they can make you a non-alcoholic version. I've had no problem getting some yummy frozen drinks without alcohol.

One of my favorite non-alcoholic drinks is a 50/50 mix of cranberry juice and club soda.

Thank you, i shall make a note.

  2. There is a mocktail menu onboard. Sunset cooler, no-jito , etc. Virgin pina Coloma, Virgin daiquiri of Amy flavor, Virgin mudslide, Virgin banana monkey, Virgin Miami vice, Mango tango, etc.

They'll make virtually any drink you like provided they have the ingredients - and if they're unaware of it, you do need to be able to give approx proportions, etc.

Thank you, I never found a mocktail menu last time - didn't try hard enough I suppose. I was with my older teenage daughter last time, who made a friend so I was by myself quite a bit (which I actually enjoyed) but I was a bit shy around the bars and asking for things that weren't right under my nose. This time hubby is with us and he will have the odd beer so I'd quite like a mocktail while he does.

Will have a better look for the mocktail menus and try a few more this time round.

  3. Extra spicy Virgin Mary.

    Nohito

And Tonic (my name for Gin and Tonic without the Gin :)) I love Tonic and Lime as a light summer drink.

    Virgin Raspberry Daiquiri

Any alcoholic drink can be made without the alcohol. Order a Virgin Martini and you may get a glass with an olive in it. I like a Virgin Screwdriver with breakfast but just ask for Orange Juice so as not to overly confuse the poor waiter.

Lol, I was hoping for some more constructive comments, such as some nice combinations of different fruit juices perhaps and whether there are any tall frozen (icy) drinks that I can ask for.

  4. Messaged P&O through their website to add military onboard credit but 8 days later still no reply. I did try and phone originally but was on hold for 18 minutes with no sign of call being answered. On the phone to them now and again on hold currently just over 17 minutes. How on earth do you get to speak to anyone?

  5. We sailed last year on Arcadia one segment of the world cruise. Perhaps they make an effort to go all out for the world cruise.

We too have had horrible experiences on cruises with abysmal food. On a Trans Pacific cruise on Celebrity Solstice with 8 friends from other Celebrity cruises the food was just simply god awful. After 5 or 6 nights of at least 3 to 4 of us having more then one dish inedible in the main dining room we went to Tuscan Grill which was even worse and our meal cost was refunded. Needless to say all of us stopped sailing on X for some time. We went back on them this past September only to find little has improved and service is very bad. For us some the worst issues are simple freshness of ingredients like tomatoes for caprese, please do not offer this dish unless you have truly ripe tomatoes. The simple things like fresh melons and pineapples in the buffet at breakfast are never ever fresh on X. How many times can they sell me a fish dish only to find out that what they call Sole is really just Talapia again.

They amazing thing on the Arcadia was that every day of the 21 days when I went for fresh fruit in the morning it was ripe to perfection. Absolutely the most amazing peaches and pears. Cut melons and pineapple to die for. Fresh fish at dinner was cooked to perfection as well.

As I said maybe it was a one off on the world cruise but other so called Premium lines can be abysmal too.

This is the first time I have found anyone who has the same opinion as me about Celebrity food. I constantly see Celebrity being raved about but found their food buffet and MDR on Infinity the worst selection we have had at sea. Princess, P&O and Carnival were much better.

  6. Husband has defence discount card and I have emailed the number and details to P&O for the cruise we have just booked. Is there somewhere in my account or personaliser that I can check to see if it has been applied? When I called the P&O phone number the other day I was on hold for over 15 minutes without actually getting to speak to anyone.

    Thanks in advance

  7. We would like to take a case of diet coke and a case of water on at Southampton. I read on another thread the suggestion of just putting a luggage label on the packs rather than in the suitcase. Is that acceptable or should I just buy the smaller packs and squish them into the suitcase?

    Thanks in advance

  8. We went on the Celebrity infinity and found the service to be very good and the entertainment ok, but the ship was in need of refurbishment and the food overall not great. The MDR was just ok and the buffet was poor in comparison to other lines. Now I do believe that other ships in the Celebrity fleet may be better, such as, Eclipse or Silhouette but it will take a very special offer to get us back with them. I have only cruised on the Royal Princess with Princess and am booked to go again on her and Princess beat Celebrity hands down across the board.

  9. That is correct John - only on board and for that trip.

I'm not certain about venues where it's available on Azura apart from the coffee shop area in the Atrium or if indeed that's the only place to get Costa coffee. It's definitely the only place where you get the complementary muffins/croissants etc (up to 11am)and cakes/savoury snacks (after 11 am).

I find the Azura more limited in choice for coffee venues than say, the Arcadia, where there are a number of comfortable lounge areas including the Crow's Nest where you can use your Costa card although the cakes bit is only at Cafe Vivo.

It's certainly not available everywhere on board.

    Hope that helps.

Lovely thank you. Are the cakes and snacks only complimentary if you buy a coffee?

  10. Thank you so much, I don't suffer usually at all from seasickness, hubby tends to feel it a little but says he likes the location of the cabin so will take medication and try it.

How would an upsell work? Do they contact us or do we contact them? I know with Princess UK you can pay £100 to refare once if the price drops without having to cancel and rebook.

  11. Only been on a short cruise on Azura and it may have been before the introduction of Costa Coffe (unless we just didn't spot it).

Could someone help out with how it works, is it only redeemable in one place or all bars, venues and restaurants?

    Thanks in advance

  12. Just booked for next summer and thought a Lido cabin might be nice but hadn't considered noise from above.

Has anyone stayed in or near this cabin?

I've also ticked no upgrade, should I have, I did so that we wouldn't just be moved another inside but as we have booked select am I giving up a shot at an ocean view or balcony?

    Thanks in advance

  13. Thank you for the info and the menu photos

I apologize in advance for the quality of some of the pictures!

We did get pictures of 2 dessert menus, and all but the first night's dinner. But unfortunately forgot to get pictures of the lunch menus, when that was offered on sea days.

We enjoyed having different bread & butter offered each evening (types included in the menu), and regular butter was always provided upon request.

Also, a note about Anytime dining, we were a bit apprehensive with so many complaints about it, but we never experienced any problems or waits! We usually arrived between 7-7:45pm each night at either of the Anytime dining rooms, no reservations, and asked for a table for 2. We were always seated right way. Although we did make sure that if we were planning to dine after the 6:15pm show, we sat close to an exit in the theater to get out quickly and beat the rush! Our service most nights was generally excellent and prompt (although one night we never did get the iced tea we asked for...).
