    The system that day was really, really bad. Geoff was there really early and there were others before him. By 0800, when they opened ticketing, many others had arrived. There was no supervised queue so a scramble ensued. Maybe insufficient tenders. We were ashore and in a landrover by 0910. Whilst there were many landrovers already at Volunteer Point by the time we got there we had plenty of time there both at the nesting place and the beach; it did not feel crowded at all. We were amongst the last to leave; had ample time to have a tour of Stanley in the 4x4 and shop too before the last tender. 🤞 you make it

    Say hi to Nyree from me. GF Linda. She made the best GF sandwich I had on the whole trip!! She has postcards to sell also bath beans. If you have little people in your life they'll love them! Each bean turns into a Falkland animal when soaked in water ..... the penguin has a bow tie!!

    Hi. Baggage drop off was at the Cruise Terminal. You will be given a numbered card and sit in a waiting area until your number is called when you will join the line to check in. After check in you will head down to a bus that will take you to the ship. This was how it went on the 10th December cruise. You make good friends in that long line!

    Ah. Yes totally agree. The lack of alternate speakers was apparent. ALSO would have been great to have had the talks enabled subsequently in the in room TV

    Have a word with Graeme about that. Am guessing that their contract was restricted. He was trekking in Patagonia when he disembarked in Punta Arenas from the previous cruise and his previous colleagues left and the new ones stepped in. He's very approachable and open to feed back

    If you can't get to the bow rail because of the crowd head up to 9, walk down the side of the gym and go outside there, though not when it's windy!!! Fab view.

    Our next stop is the changing of the guard at Moneda Palace. We arrived while the band was playing an Elvis tune followed by a Michael Jackson. I have 2 videos to share once uploaded La Moneda is the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile and contains various government offices. Originally constructed as the colonial mint it became the seat of government in 1845. .

    In Santiago we took a small group morning tour, with hotel pick up and drop off, booked through Viator. Vitacura Park, absolutely stunning. . .

    In no particular order: 1. No central heating. Sorted 2. Toilet wouldn't flush. Sorted 3. Washing machine error..... wouldn't drain. Sorted 4. Lost a hearing aid on the plane so partially deaf! 5. Couldn't switch on the TV ....... turns out a battery missing from remote 🤷‍♀️ had spare in drawer 6. My mobile phone wouldn't connect back to the network so no calls in or out. Sorted after a whole day in 'chat' with provider. Sorted in 30 seconds with advice from a community forum 🤦‍♀️ My dog was pleased to see me

    This actually wasn't bad.... then again it's a microwave meal.... vegan lasagne Ryan Air I owe loads still from Oosterdam.... just got dog back and had no end of issues to sort here....

    Am asking your advice. Flew back from Santiago in Business Class with British Airways . GF diet so no choice. You get what you're given. What is this? It was gross. The crew certainly didn't know!!
