It is absolutely ridiculous for a major company like Holland America to answer their phone with this nonsense. When I called, the automated service told me I had ten cruises booked. I only have one.

POA1, when I click the little lock nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
-
Sometimes they are willing to rebook you into a lower category and then upgrade you to your old existing cabin.

Are you sure you received the proper Club Orange tote bags?

I really think it is a matter of luck whether the website works at a given time since it seems to be an intermittent problem. But, the point is that we really shouldn't have to try to figure out how to make it work. It should just work. Amazon always works because they know a working website affects their bottom line. HAL has not figured that out yet.

I still occasionally get the "bad request" message.

I also vote to get rid of the throw pillows. They are useless and just in the way.

I do not necessarily object to the accents. I object to the lack of knowledge about the product they are selling.

So, if the Panama Canal authority is allowing partial transits, I wonder why the March 17, 2024 sailing of the Rotterdam was changed to an Eastern itinerary.
-
Normally I would say the first sea day. However, Easter is on Sunday, the second sea day. Not sure what they will do.

I consider "offshore" representatives to be people who work in call centers. They usually stick to a script and can't answer any questions or address any problems without putting you on hold for a long time while they check with their supervisor. And, then usually the answer to any question is "no."

We had the offer for early payment last year. We were told the OBC would show up after January 31 and, sure enough, it did.

Horseymike, I was getting all excited at your menu. Too bad it's not real!

You can go to Cruise Timetables and look up the April schedule for Curacao. It shows ships in port for April 1, 3 and 4 but not April 2.
-
I was looking at the Caribbean cruises. So, maybe they are not eligible.

But when I look at the cruises eligible for the 2024 early booking bonus they don't seem to include the $99 deposit.
-
The new promo is $99 deposit. I think you have to book the HIA early bonus fare. But the wording suggests it is only good for summer 2024 cruises. Am I reading this wrong?

But, they didn't eliminate Bonaire. They eliminated Curacao which has no limitation on ships regulation.
-
The weird thing is that there are no ships in port in Curacao on April 2 so there is no reason that the Rotterdam couldn't have stopped there.
-
Yes but the only one left that goes to all the ABC islands is January 26 which is not an ideal time for me.
-
They just changed the itinerary for the March 29 sailing of the Rotterdam to the ABC islands. Bonaire was changed to April 3 and Aruba to April 1. But, Curacao was eliminated and the ship is now going to Grand Turk. Curacao has no ships in port on April 2 so why that wasn't scheduled is beyond me. Grand Turk is a poor substitute for Curacao.
-
Are you sure? I thought it would be refundable up until the original final payment date.

I agree that HAL is at the mercy of the ports. The limitation on ships coming into Bonaire is what started the problem. However, when there are no ships in port in Curacao on April 2, I don't see what excuse there is for not stopping there as originally intended.
-
The March 29 nine day sailing of the Rotterdam to the ABC Islands has been changed. Bonaire was switched from April 2 to April 3. Aruba was switched from April 3 to April 1. But Curacao was switched for Grand Turk. This makes no sense. Why not just switch Bonaire and Aruba and leave Curacao alone? Or schedule Curacao for April 2 when there are no ships in port. Grand Turk is a very poor substitute for Curacao.

Try speaking to a different rep. You should be able to keep the shareholders credit.
