  1. What is the final payment date? 30 days prior to the cruise?
  2. Wondering how the Blue Chip free play promo chip work. Going on a cruise next month and recently hit Sapphire level and apparently get $500 in free play chips. Does anyone know how this works? Is it actual chips or a voucher? Can you cash them in for cash? Thank you in advance.
  3. That’s so kind of you. I hope you received a complimentary cruise for you efforts.
  4. GREAT QUESTION. We really enjoyed the one in Fort Lauderdale. Last summer the cruise out of Chivecchia only had a Suite Check in area, no lounge.
  5. Thank you. I decided to call the Blue Chip Club to see what the upgrade $ would be from an aqua class to sky suite for our 12 night cruise on the apex. There were only 3 sky suites available and decided to book one for $4561 with basic perks. They also offered a $250 on board credit. I may of been able to get something for less through the move up program but really wanted a sky suite with the larger stateroom and really balcony. So the all on all cost for 2 passengers is $4655 plus the $400 for taxes and fees for the 12 night 0n the apex.
  6. I guess they choose to wait until as close to sailing as possible so they can hopefully sell the cabin for full price...
  7. Our Cruise departs mid June, We have a few bids on the move up program. Any idea when you are notified your move up is successful?
  8. 30 points wow. That's very generous.Watching now.
  9. Thank you for your information.
  10. Does the Move Up program ever adjust the minimum bidding amount depending on demand for each category?
  11. Yes that makes sense. I have a cruise booked on the Apex next month in an aqua class infinite veranda cabin. It’s a complimentary cruise through Blue Chip Club. There are currently lots (20-30) of Aqua class infinite veranda cabins available. I have the option through move up to bid on sky suite (Aqua Sky Suite 4 left, Sky Suite 3 left and magic carpet sky suite 20 left). I was thinking of bidding but since there are so many Aqua Class infinite veranda cabins left how does that affect my chances of succeeding with the move up? Also, how does the Blue Chip booking affect this move up since the cruise is complimentary?
  12. Yes, but at the end of the day would they not accept the highest bid regardless of what your minimum bid is? I also wonder does captain club status have anything to do with who is awarded the upgrade? I would love to know how the analytics works for this move up program.
  13. We received a offer for a complimentary sky suite on a 9 day Europe Cruise this summer and was wondering if the move up program is permitted with Blue Chip Bookings? Also would it be fair to say that the higher the category of your existing cabin would mean the cost of the upgrade or bid would be less vs a lower category cabin? As an example, would the amount of a bid required from an inside cabin be more $ to bid on a Sky Suite vs an Aqua Class category to a Sky Suite? Thanks for your assistance!
  14. I get that, Blue Chip makes no sense. Some offers really depend on which Blue Chip agent you speak with when you call in. Others gamble minimally and get better offers. I’m thinking on moving over to RCL as there Casio loyalty program apparently is more clear cut and better managed.
  15. Great question, I have 12,000 points to get to sapphire which should be after my cruise next month. Do you have to go to guest services to load the classic drink package and wifi? Also wondering can you upgrade to premium drink package?
  16. My family are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale next month in a suite and are travelling with our elderly 86 year old Aunt and Uncle. My Aunt and Uncle are not in a suite. My Aunt needs a wheel chair to embark and disembark the ship. Do you think Celebrity will allow to them check in with us through the Retreat check in since my Aunt will need assistance in her wheelchair? Thank you for your input here.
  17. It’s really best to pay in USD as Celebrity charges you a premium exchange rate to convert to USD. It’s also a hassle to book shore excursions, dining reservations prior to your cruise in CDN dollars. On the other hand if you boos in CND dollars your won’t absorb the the evangelist rate from your CC from UDS to CDN.
  18. Interesting, I thought you received more points from table games at 8 points for every dollar vs 1 point for every dollar with slots? How much would you have to gamble at slots to receive 10,000 points?
  19. YES I agree Tom. It really the Wild West and depends who you talk to. There are lots of new agents in the BCC so its best to speak to an agent with some experience. I have asked for suites above Sky Suite and have never succeeded.
  20. Does the Sapphire Level give you access to the retreat level?
  21. I have had 3 sky suites booked at 60% off, on the edge, reflection and beyond.
