I would like to book a cruise for next August (2022) on Carnival Vista. Me and husband but he can't walk very far without tiring/hurting. May be pushing him in wheelchair just so  we can go, no problem.

Just a suggestion, but have you though about renting a electric chair just for the cruise? It may make it easier on you and more independent for him. As far as ports I would choose Grand Cayman, but likes others have said, it is a tender port.

I have been joining in the discussions/arguments about cruises, vaccines, masks, CDC guidelines and State laws just like so many others.  Sure, it's fun.  But it is becoming increasing clear that while the situtation was totally stagnant for so long, at this point it is changing daily, if not hourly.  No matter what anyone from the cruise lines say, from customer service reps to CEOs, it seems to change almost instantly.   Our cruises will go or not go, and we may not be sure exactly what is going on until we board, and it may change after that.  The terms and conditions we all agreed to when we booked our cruise actually allows this, whether we like it or not.  I am totally certain that the cruise lines like it less than we do.

  4. It's only for one unfortunately, but my travel mate had no problem getting drinks too as I just ordered two drinks at a time with no problem. They got so use to us that they would automatically bring both of us a drink when I ordered. Plus, good tipping helps with that.😜

  5. I am willing to do what ever it takes to get the ships sailing again, and if that calls for people to be vaccinated for now, then so be it. It may not stay that way forever, but it is my opinion that this would be the best way forward for now. Sorry for all of the folks who may not be able to sail right now.

  6. This is why we choose to re-book way out to Oct 2022 for Mardi Gras sailing, too stressful and had to get off the merry-go-round of cancellations, and it paid off too ended up with $1,195 of OBC for all the delays, cancellations and 25% off. But I did recently book a casino offer for a free room that was too good to pass up and it sails in Feb 2022, so praying all this is sorting out by then. I  like everyone else just wan to see the ships moving again, any ship at this point!!!

There is no such thing as a free cruise.  Many gamblers don't want to admit it but they often lose significantly more in the casino than the value of the discount they received on the room.  But every once in a while we go home with cash in out pocket which brings us back to looking at offers and deciding which ones we can possibly use.

    So true😁

That is what we have for our MG sailing in November.  $1350 OBC.  I already bought Cheers so I am good there so I am going to have some fun in the casino.

That's great, we have $1195.00 for our MG sailing.

Please understand that there's a certain segment of people who took a pandemic and turned it into a political football.

Being that California has more visitors from China than any other state, more international visitors than any other state with the exception of New York, and the highest population as well as mant congested cities, it was a prime breeding ground for Covid.

I personally lost my Mom's sister, a neighbor who was a cop, a former co-worker, both parents of one of my best friends and honestly my list could go on and on of people I either know or know of due to Covid!

My wife is an ER nurse who volunteered in the beginning to treat those coming in with symptoms.

She would cry herself to sleep the first couple of weeks because it was still unclear on how it was transmitted and she was scared, but she still went to work and did her best to help her sick patients.

I say this because the first couple of months California was hit extremely hard and there was good reason to be fearful.

Once it became obvious that social distancing and mask wearing were effective tools in the fight, fear was replaced by common sense and responsible citizens.

I point out to people that the flu season this year was virtually non existent. Why? Mask wearing and lockdowns.

And yet, even with proof that the virus was slowed by using the flu metric as an example, 550,000 fellow Americans were killed by Covid. Imagine how bad it would have been in a state like California if not for all the guidelines that our Governor imposed.

And now, because we have such a high percentage of people getting vaccinated we have the lowest rates in the country.

So hate on California if it makes you feel better, but don't listen or spread the lies that some are spreading because of their political agenda!

    Well said!!!
