On board coral Princess now
resordanis replied to yes!yes!yes!'s topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
I think it has been posted previously but I am unable to locate, I am interested in the White Wine (bottle) prices please. Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio preferably. I think someone said they start at $60, but anything under that price? Thanks -
I had a similar problem with my husbands medallion app. Turns out the cruise planner had put his date of birth incorrectly, so I could not get thru to the next step. Once I contacted him re his details, he went thru to the green lane. BTW I have some elderly friends on our first Majestic cruise and they do not have a computer or smart phone, their cruise planner just told them to turn up at the Port with their documents and RAT tests results.

Gratuities when Booking a Cruise from Singapore
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
You are most definitely right. Just did a dummy booking and the 24 nights was over $3000 cheaper on the Singapore site including gratuities. $2000 deposit for both legs has me still hesitating though. Thanks for the information. -
In the last couple of weeks, I have had one of my December cruises reduced with Royal. I think she said I could get a reduction up to final payment, but I have found all the agents are different. Cruise with confidence has definitely finished, but I can’t remember what she called it. Anyway I save $300. As I have 4 payments due shortly I am checking regularly and will certainly be ringing to try if I find my prices dropping.

Gratuities when Booking a Cruise from Singapore
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Thanks all for the replies. We have decided not to proceed with this cruise at the moment as it is not until July 2023. We are going to wait and see if cruising has changed since our last in 2020 and see whether we prefer Princess as Elite or Royal Caribbean a little better as Diamond plus. As we have 6 between now and Christmas we should have an idea if there are any changes. -
Gratuities when Booking a Cruise from Singapore

My cruise is 24 nights, but from Singapore to Tokyo and return to Singapore, but I will be booking via the Australian Royal Caribbean site. I haven’t rung Royal as yet! -
Gratuities when Booking a Cruise from Singapore
resordanis replied to resordanis's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Thanks for all the replies. Much appreciated. The cruises I am looking at are a total of 24 nights, so gratuities on top of the fare are quite a lot, considering we tip all as well for their service. Will double check if book.. If we have to pay, we have to pay, just want to factor all in before actually booking. -

Thanks all, feel so much better now!

I just can’t see it on the list of benefits. Also, the two for 1 on first night in specialty restaurants?
-
Hi all, Just looking at the Diamond + benefits since we last cruised in February 2020, am I correct that we now don’t get the 2 free days Internet or the 2 wash and fold laundry bags? Can someone please clarify for me as these two were important escort a long cruise. Thanks

Cruise insurance for 75 + ?
resordanis replied to cruiser3775's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Thanks for the information, I have just done a quote and will either go with Travel Insurance Savers or NIB. Both are really NIB policies 😁 Price seems good for a year too. -
Cruise insurance for 75 + ?
resordanis replied to cruiser3775's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
I am also very interested in this topic as one of us is over 75. I am about to start paying for my cruises so would like to take out an annual policy. I did look at NIB some weeks ago, but I just can’t see at the moment when I look at their policy cruise cover, I might be looking at the wrong page. I am also considering Travel Insurance Savers who use NIB. Credit card insurance isn’t an option for us as Westpac (Allianz) don’t have an pandemic cover. Covermore are over $1000 more expensive that Travel Insurance Savers and I haven’t even got to the pre existing conditions. Anyone else we should consider? Any assistance is appreciated. -
We stay at Meriton Kent St. Light rail out the front on George st , straight down to Circular Quay. Totally agree, prices very expensive for Saturday night, but great location.

Which Cruise Port in Sydney?
resordanis replied to laura1960's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
We have recently started staying at Meriton Apartments in the City. Close to everything and you also have a small kitchen and a washer/dryer. Unless staying Saturday night, prices are quite reasonable. Before this The View North Sydney was our choice before cruises as they had a cruise ship package which included transfers to the Port. Not sure if they are offering that package at the moment though. -
Thank you for the information!

As long as all is sorted out before final payments for both Ovation and Majestic.!
-
Chiliburn just wanting to know that Ovation will definitely be here this year! Many changes with Princess but Royal have been very quiet. Any news from your friend Gavin? We have many cruises booked (as you have) but still not quite confident with the Islands. Cheryle

I booked flights yesterday whilst travelling (before reading these posts) for October and November cruises. Qantas now are only refunding flights (no credits) for a 24 hour period after booking. Thankfully once we got home I cancelled our flights until I know for certain what is happening in cruise world. The accommodation can be cancelled 24 hours prior, but Sydney accommodation has almost doubled!
