    Same cruise as me.

Their are a number of balcony cabins still available on deck 14 and 13 and a number of aft balconies.

Better they blocked the cabin if they found it had a problem they couldn't fix Before you got in it.

    well we are getting close.

if I had to be on deck 14 it was a good location. If I was doing the redular thing and picking a cabin I would t of picked deck 14. This was a last minute thing. My daughter and granddaughter will be on deck 9.

BTW how can you tell where the empty cabins are.

  2. I booked a sail away balcony recently. After a few days I got my cabin number. Did my check in Saturday night and nothing had a number on it. Found out inventory dept had blocked that cabin.  So now I wait for new assignment. Must of been a real disaster if it was blocked for maintenance. We don’t sail till January 8th.

just glad to know I am not nuts and I did actually see a cabin number at one point.

  3. I waited up last night and did online check in on iPad. We are central time here so it was 11:01 for us to check in.  I dont see well at night so i had written my passport number with a marker on paper. After spending 15 minutes to download a very good photo of myself i finally read it said no photo with glasses. Then spent another 30 mins trying to take a picture with iPad and it would never except it. Finally turned the iPad sideways and first shot it was. Done. Horrible picture in my pj’s and no makeup…..but who cares that was my last step and it was done.

    good luck

From things I have read,it could be a real problem..if it leaves from the US and returns to the Us, there can be a problem embarking in a different country. You probably should not take advice from anyone here because it all sounds a bit confusing. You need to contact someone (who knows what they are talking about) at NCL. Which I’m not sure you will get at their customer service number. Or do more research than I just did…good luck.

Keep in mind St.Thomas is considered US

  5. I use my iPhone and iPad for everything. My laptop just sits on the desk. Has anyone been successful in doing the online check in from phone or iPad. My printer is paired with these. I know occasionally for some things only a PC will work.

i remember last cruse i had my info on my phone and didnt even print it up.

  6. 3 years ago my son had a brain aneurysm about a week before a cruise.  I immediately called my lady at NCL. To tell the truth i was shocked my grown son having a medical crisis qualified me for an insurance refund. NCL immediately refunded me their part (tips, taxes, etc) she sent me the insurance form over email. The hospital printed it up and they properly filled it out and doctor did his part and signed. I sent it to insurance and almost immediately i had a check.  Keep in mind i had everything correctly filled out.it isn’t always getting the form done correctly.  I had a scatter brained nurse mess it up twice. I ended up going to medical records where they did it. I was able to track down the doctor. All the while my son was still in hospital.\

Half-size and 1/4 size packing cubes (these are from eBags) creatively solved our storage  ... even in balcony staterooms with the dresser/desk with the tall, long with narrow cabinet shelves behind the swing-out doors.

My life has been so easy since I discovered packing cubes. (Many many years ago) I alway figure if my luggage were to be opened the packing cubes would save the day. I also use one for o er the counter meds and one for odds and ends (Lysol, hand wipes, sun block, mosquito spray, etc)

I often notice them showing sold out, even on newly released itineraries.  Do you realize that you can book a "normal" FAS cabin and opt out of the beverage package?

On my upcoming cruise the only difference between sail away and regular balcony was 50.00 so taking away the drink package…..do the math.

  9. So is NCL back to doing the real drill thing? I saw a picture somewhere that had people lined up outside.  Our last 4 or so cruises we gathered in the theater not outside. Maybe that is just where our location was for our cabin (theater)

will be on deck 14 on breakaway so goodness knows where it will be.  Never been up this high before.

Wait until you get your eDocs 21 days prior to departure for the final docking status. We are on the Prima and the website said tendering in Cozumel and Roatan. EDocs updates to Docked at all ports. And I can confirm that we docked at Roatan yesterday.

Great news. I have mobility issues and I freak out getting on and off the tender.
    have fun!

Are you trying to book the same restaurant more than once?  If so, the app will not let you and you need to call or use Chat.

No just trying to book dining room on different nights

  12. I was able to make two dinner reservations today. Later on I wanted to finish up and the app seems to be messed up. Is that a common thing. It lets me add to my cart yet when I try to check out says nothing in my cart.
guess if it is still like this tomorrow I will just have to call.
