  1. Hey guys, have been to Alaska before, got three batteries for the camera now, do I need anymore? As for memory card, got two of them now. so I don't think will need any more of them. Thanks.

  5. Forgot to ask, do you see any waterfalls, need binoculars? Know they have a gift shop & snack bar on board.

Hi guys, seein the eagles in the wild on this tour, would you consider this tour a cruise hilite, or tour hilite, also when your are watchin the eagles, do you use camera, what scene, like the sports scene, or do the video? Will be on the Crown, dockin at pier 3, in the middle of Sept, from 7 to 5 p.m. this tour ends at 1, now have seen videos on youtube everbody wanderin around the usual tourist areas in Ketchikan, an think we'll do that. Plannin to have lunch at the Burger Queen, then go off an wander past the eagle statue, over to the docks wander around, get a map, then wander into or by the stores to look, then off to creek st, & etc. Go up the funicular & wander about the hotel, an then mosey about towards down creek st, an be back on the ship by 4:30. Is all that possible to do, any suggestions? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks.

  9. Rcl is wonderful, 2nd is Princess. Reason will be on princess this time, cuz rcl doesn't have 10 day cruises, at least I don't think so.
  10. Hi guys, will be in Ketchikan in Sept, an has anybody taken this tour before? Looked at it on youtube. Any suggestions? Thanks. Also, want to do, is walk around the port, & take in the sights. The crown will be there from 7 to 5 p.m.
  11. Forgot to mention, will be on a cruise in Sept, in icy strait, on the Crown princess an will be watchin for whales again!!!
  12. Yup, I agree with Kay S. When I was in Icy Strait, had a great show of whales bubbling feeding right next to the ship, several times. Got pictures to prove it.

  16. You bet!!! Have you tried flyin into Long Beach airport? Its awhole lot better than l a x. You might want to try the Crown plaza in San Pedro. Think, but I could be wrong, the long beach airport is a half hr from the pier, maybe an hr from john wayne airport. Those who also will answer might tell you the same thing. Right guys?

  24. Hey guys, now that the Alaska cruise season is about to start, is anybody gettin anxious bout gettin ready to get up there & gettin on their ships? I am, been wonderin what shore excursions to take, or just wander around the ports, finding things not seen or done before. Mean that within reason, or course.
