  1. Settling in at the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon with some white zin (thanks @Ourusualbeach) and waiting for the Indiana basketball game. Noon flight back to Chicago tomorrow. Missing my golden girls. Expect at least one more โ€œreunionโ€ puppy post ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ Hope the rest of the Bella cruisers had an โ€œuneventfulโ€ travel day and you are settling in at home.
  2. Dinner to night wasโ€ฆ. 94th Aerosquadronโ€ฆ highly recommendโ€ฆ. This is our โ€œgo toโ€ pre cruise/post cruise restaurant in Miami. not inexpensive, but what is in Miami? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Great spot directly across from the airport. You can watch the planes come in. Depending on the runway traffic, it can be like a mini Maho Beach experience. shrimp cocktail was a solid 10 Beef tenderloin was the best Iโ€™ve had in a long time. And the key lime pie? Another solid 10 they have connected headsets hanging randomly in spots in the dining room if you want to listen in to air traffic control at the Miami airport.
  3. Iโ€™m told thatโ€™s a hard no. Different casino programs. Only inquired because our next few sailings are on Celebrity. But since Wi-Fi tips and drinks already included, I can forego the casino status symbol
  4. Off to dinner. Since Iโ€™ve not eaten enough the past 8 nightsโ€ฆ.๐Ÿ˜Ž kind of a grey day today in Miami, but Iโ€™m not complainingโ€ฆ. 38 degrees in Chicago palm trees andโ€ฆ..other friends
  5. Thanks, Valerie, I was wondering if the shared ride option would have been better โ€ฆ. Sounds like much of the sameโ€ฆ
  6. Debarkation was a tad rough. For some reason we exited deck 5, bumper to bumper body traffic, and did a complete loop around the jogging track ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ( which I successfully avoided like the plague for 7 days). it was almost a full hour of shuffling until we got to the taxi line. I should have remembered how awful it was from our Symphony sailing last March, but apparently I havenโ€™t killed those brain cells yet ๐Ÿฅณ the problem when you exit is you have to make a decision, taxi to the right, shared rides to the left. Chose the right (taxi) but our wait was only about another 30 minutes. $54 taxi fare from the port to the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon. Our Uber fare to the port from here was only 5 dollars more. Didnโ€™t check Uber rates because weโ€™d already committed to the taxi lineโ€ฆ.
  7. @John&LaLa John, thanks for all you did to make this cruise unique and specialโ€ฆ.know that we all appreciated it! Iโ€™m sorry we didnโ€™t get a final schooner bar hug goodbye, but you know thatโ€™s okayโ€ฆitโ€™s only until โ€œnext timeโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‰ This has been (literally) one of my favorite sailingsโ€ฆ..mostly because I got to reconnect with ones I hadnโ€™t seen in years, and had the pleasure of meeting others Iโ€™d always wanted to ๐Ÿ’• what an amazing community we have! ๐Ÿค— my final picture of the weekโ€ฆ.. it wonโ€™t win any awards. iPhone technologyโ€ฆ.But I hope you all get to experience that one night on the balcony with no light pollution. It will make you want to keep coming back.
  8. good luck! I had no โ˜˜๏ธ luck with the Indiana /Kent state game. Had to download the app and watch it on my phone think you can guess how that wentโ€ฆ.๐Ÿ˜ก If this Wi-Fi was free Iโ€™d still be unhappy ๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s even worse when you spend $250 for it, and doesnโ€™t work
  9. oh no! As other s have recommended, definitely request a wheel chair when you check in. A day pass at a local hotel is also a good idea to kill some timeโ€ฆwhat airline are you flying? if United, I could probably share a club pass for you to useโ€ฆat least youโ€™d be more comfortable than at the gate. I know it stinks traveling with an injury! ๐Ÿฅบ
  10. You can never see too many sunrise or sunset photos. The ones at sea canโ€™t be replicated and every one is unique ๐Ÿ’• thanks for sharing yours @FromSea2ShiningSea
  11. I may have placed a few towels on two loungers in the Solarium and then went for brunch in the MDR ๐Ÿ‘น total time away from my seat was 50 minutesโ€ฆ.if you canโ€™t beat them, join them Location, location, location brunch in the MDR opened at 9. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. The lines when we left were long. great experience, compared to the windjammer or even the solarium. Theyโ€™ve been packed all week in the morning. I really miss the breakfast service on deck 15 (what is now El Loco fresh) . On some oasis class ships itโ€™s open in the mornings, and itโ€™s my favorite spotโ€ฆ. Brunch menu dessert for breakfast
  12. Way to go, Lisa! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I was too late. Had to find a spot in the Solarium. At least youโ€™ll be occupying those chairs โ€” unlike many others there yesterday where it was clear the towels were placed in the early morning and unoccupied most of the day ๐Ÿ™„
  13. Difficult evening wear decisionsโ€ฆ., Cheer on your favorite team at playmakers, or St. Patrickโ€™s day green for formal night? compromiseโ€ฆ. Wearing green at Playmakers. Waiting for my Hoosiers.๐Ÿ”ดโšช๏ธ and an added bonus was seeing Purdue fallโ€ฆ.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Lol, I watched this morning on the balcony and started feeling even โ€œgreenerโ€ then had to take a walk โ€ฆ. oh, and Iโ€™ve absolutely recoveredโ€ฆ.๐Ÿฅณโ˜˜๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜Ž bring on the St. Paddys day shenanigans!
  15. same for usโ€ฆโ€ฆ thought about getting off here, but it would break my streak of three straight port days onboard ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. I hope your wish for an empty ship comes to fruition! So far Iโ€™ve only gotten off in CocoCay, and I will say the ship is the most crowded Iโ€™ve seen thus far on a port day. Very surprising. Beach pool completely full. Of towels anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  17. Is that what I drank???? ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿซฃ a Bloody Mary with Titoโ€™s is sure to cure what ails me. Gotta be top of my game for Irish dayโ€ฆ.โ˜˜๏ธ
  18. Another great set from the Bon Jovi cover band, Slippery When Wet , Schooner Bar shenanigans, then the 70โ€™s party. my Apple Watch tried to warn me, but it was worth it
