Settling in at the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon with some white zin (thanks @Ourusualbeach) and waiting for the Indiana basketball game. Noon flight back to Chicago tomorrow. Missing my golden girls. Expect at least one more โreunionโ puppy post ๐๐ถ๐ถ Hope the rest of the Bella cruisers had an โuneventfulโ travel day and you are settling in at home.

Dinner to night wasโฆ. 94th Aerosquadronโฆ highly recommendโฆ. This is our โgo toโ pre cruise/post cruise restaurant in Miami. not inexpensive, but what is in Miami? ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ Great spot directly across from the airport. You can watch the planes come in. Depending on the runway traffic, it can be like a mini Maho Beach experience. shrimp cocktail was a solid 10 Beef tenderloin was the best Iโve had in a long time. And the key lime pie? Another solid 10 they have connected headsets hanging randomly in spots in the dining room if you want to listen in to air traffic control at the Miami airport.

Debarkation was a tad rough. For some reason we exited deck 5, bumper to bumper body traffic, and did a complete loop around the jogging track ๐โโ๏ธ ( which I successfully avoided like the plague for 7 days). it was almost a full hour of shuffling until we got to the taxi line. I should have remembered how awful it was from our Symphony sailing last March, but apparently I havenโt killed those brain cells yet ๐ฅณ the problem when you exit is you have to make a decision, taxi to the right, shared rides to the left. Chose the right (taxi) but our wait was only about another 30 minutes. $54 taxi fare from the port to the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon. Our Uber fare to the port from here was only 5 dollars more. Didnโt check Uber rates because weโd already committed to the taxi lineโฆ.

@John&LaLa John, thanks for all you did to make this cruise unique and specialโฆ.know that we all appreciated it! Iโm sorry we didnโt get a final schooner bar hug goodbye, but you know thatโs okayโฆitโs only until โnext timeโ ๐ This has been (literally) one of my favorite sailingsโฆ..mostly because I got to reconnect with ones I hadnโt seen in years, and had the pleasure of meeting others Iโd always wanted to ๐ what an amazing community we have! ๐ค my final picture of the weekโฆ.. it wonโt win any awards. iPhone technologyโฆ.But I hope you all get to experience that one night on the balcony with no light pollution. It will make you want to keep coming back.

oh no! As other s have recommended, definitely request a wheel chair when you check in. A day pass at a local hotel is also a good idea to kill some timeโฆwhat airline are you flying? if United, I could probably share a club pass for you to useโฆat least youโd be more comfortable than at the gate. I know it stinks traveling with an injury! ๐ฅบ

I may have placed a few towels on two loungers in the Solarium and then went for brunch in the MDR ๐น total time away from my seat was 50 minutesโฆ.if you canโt beat them, join them Location, location, location brunch in the MDR opened at 9. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. The lines when we left were long. great experience, compared to the windjammer or even the solarium. Theyโve been packed all week in the morning. I really miss the breakfast service on deck 15 (what is now El Loco fresh) . On some oasis class ships itโs open in the mornings, and itโs my favorite spotโฆ. Brunch menu dessert for breakfast
