thanks for the compliment! 😊 I try for a balanced approach in my reviews. No vacation is 100% perfect obviously — but I try to find something positive to say even if I’m feeling pretty salty 😜 Sometimes I think I’ve reviewed and photographed these ships so often I won’t have anything worthy to report about!

The whole experience just wasn’t great. 😐 first we got the bread….. then 10 minutes later, the oil and Balsamic, then another 5 minutes before he brought the Parmesan… our waiter seemed frantic and rushed. When Nicole asked for his recommendation on the pasta dishes, he recommended the linguini and clams. she said “ok, anything other than the one with clams” his response “I don’t like pasta, but anything you choose will be good.” wonder who thought it was a good idea to assign this guy to the Italian eatery? 🤷🏼♀️ ooooookayyyy….. then she asked for an espresso martini…. He said “ok, but just so you know it’s going to take a long time because I have to go to two different places” so she says, “ oh ok, that’s ok, I don’t need one” I think he regretted his statement, because then he hurried away mumbling that he would get it. so, it’s a Thumbs down on Giovanni’s from me 👎

In my experience the upgrade charge has always been nominal, like a few hundred dollars, tops…. as an example, we have a free “balcony” cruise but on oasis class that means starting with a CP or boardwalk balcony.

Desserts were the highlight, unless you were looking forward to the gelato….they didn’t have any 🤨 waiter said they didn’t have the ingredients for it, so they were just serving ice cream…. At least he was honest, because after spending 10 days in Italy and Greece earlier this year, I would have called them out on it! There is a big difference….

Last nights dinner was at Giovanni’s….kind of a disappointment….😕 but to be fair, I think I confused the menus and expected Jamie’s Italian….husband doesn’t care much for Italian, so usually theses restaurants are out for us when we cruise. And, I didn’t check the menu when I booked the dining package…. Went off memory, which in this situation did not serve me well! 🤦🏼♀️ the plank….. what I was expecting …… what we got……

- Wipe out cafe also serves iced tea in the morning. Won’t find it at park cafe or windjammer! - didn’t get my wash and fold bag this week. 🤔Thought it might come on day 6 instead of 5. The 8 nights has me confused. Had to check the D+ Benefits in case I missed that it went away…..it has not….. - caught the rising tide mid-flight yesterday! Also caught one the passengers trying to kidnap “Ted” from the car….. 😂 -towel animals getting smaller…… maybe Origami animals are next…..using day old cruise compasses….that would be awesome! -new shot of the day glasses! 💕 just purged and donated a good portion of my early collection. But these are pretty! -missed getting my roast beef sandwich today… 😐 Park Cafe not open for lunch in Labadee….. - solarium bistro has a similar breakfast to Wipe Out in the morning. The app calls it brunch, but pretty much the same stuff. There were smoothies and granola parfaits and a few more “brunch” type items. But it’s definitely more crowded, probably because so many people who are Solarium bound for the day find it more convenient than the Jammer or Wipe Out. Lines can get long, there’s also made to order omelets and eggs but the seating is so spread out there that they will have a hard time finding you. Meaning cold eggs. Also no iced tea. 😜 can you tell I’m #TEAM Wipeoutcafe, all the way?

I took my bottle to the trellis bar because I was intimidated by the corkscrew our cabin attendant provided. Tipped $5

I can’t remember the last time we were in Labadee. the views around are stunning! I don’t plan on getting off though. Enjoying a virtually empty ship and didn’t have to take out a second mortgage to fund a cabana rental. 🤑 we had an OTW cabana here years ago and really liked it, but it was a fraction of the price they charge now

This mornings activities included a spa treatment and then breakfast at wipe out….. the spa special was a 70 minute head to foot massage and eye treatment for $169, gratuity additional but 18% automatically added at the end. Port special. this was better than any similar treatment price using my C&A discount, and they are not combinable. spa pricing I don’t usually visit the spa on cruises, but decided to try it since it had been awhile. the treatment was great, although beware the upsell of scented vs “regular” oils. Also expect the post massage upsell for a variety of products. They are not pushy tho…. A simple “thanks” and “I’ll think about it” and I was on my way a few spa area photos
