Breaking news that fully vaccinated Brits nd EU citizens will be able to travel to US in November.
I for one am delighted that our nd of November cruise from Miami on Quest might just happen
Awaiting further clarification before starting the celebration 🙏

The weather is perfect not too hot but lovely to lie out in so far.
I am always wary when people ask about wine quality how to respond as it’s all a matter of taste. I had a lovely included Sauvignon blanc last night but I do now have the package as I struggle to go past whispering Angel rose and as we didn’t spend on other things we decided to have that treat. Did we need to, probably not for the wine but yes to get sparkling water we like and for DH to have his nightly malt.Great to see Whispering Angel still on the package, hope it stays there!

My thanks to you, we were given our 2nd vaccination by a Dr who retired 3 years ago.
I appreciate that, but honestly no thanks required I just want to do my bit to rid the world of this terrible situation

Ya never know. I might see you there Vicki!👍. Hope you and Charlie are doing well.

I really hope so Phil. We are well thanks. Very busy at the moment vaccinating most days, hard work this coming out of retirement!

Both Pursuit and Journey are in cold layup so I think it unlikely they would do them. Quest could be ready. Perhaps a couple of test cruises? Hard to say at this time what plans would work. My own view is that the start up of the ships is going to take a while to happen. They will want to be sure and get it right when they do.
Phil
Put me down for a test cruise. Fully vaccinated and ready to go👍

I was allowed to transfer an FCC for the deposit for a cruise from October 20 to my already booked cruise for November 21. My travel agent sorted it out for me.
Thank you, I will ask my agent to look into it.

We have a booking to sail on Quest on May1st
I know sailings are now suspended until April 30th.
I think we will need to cancel our sailing for quite a number of reasons
Currently we have just paid our deposits as final balance is due on the 17th.
We are in the U.K. I know we can cancel and get FCC for our deposit which is a significant amount but can we put this directly to another sailing we have in November or do we have to book a brand new cruise?
Thank you for any knowledge or advice

For months now it's been a depressing case of when will this all be over and when can we get back to some state of normality. I've said a few times that I won't go back to cruising until there is a vaccine or at least effective treatment. It looks like that day has finally come and the planning fun can start again.
Hopefully there will be more positive news with other drug trials from the likes of AstraZeneca. The 9th November 2020 was a momentous day.
Phil
Indeed it was a momentous day Phil.
Now we can all have hope for the world and of course start to turn dreams into reality about cruising again❤️🛳❤️

I know the ships are being well looked after just now. It's also dependent on how we get through the winter in Europe and that is of course a big unknown. And what protocols will have to be adopted.
Those cruises are a great price. I'm just not confident enough in booking them. I need to see how it all pans out. I know it's not the same as a cruise, but I'm thinking land trips to start. I've seen some amazing places I'd love to visit. Just to get away.
Phil
We too are thinking of some land trips, it’s just the longing to board a ship again!
Having had three cruises cancelled since the pandemic and rebooked one for 2022 then we also need a bit more certainty before booking for next year.

Vicki, I'd say that is the million dollar question. Pursuit will be coming out of cold layup to start her cruises.
Phil
Phil, I know from my limited knowledge that it is more difficult to be declared fit to sail following a cold layup and I assume it’s not a short process. Will just have to watch and wait !

Although the new Greece intensive cruises on Pursuit for May are available to book on Azamara site they seem to have disappeared altogether from a well known U.K. cruise site. Any clue if these are going ahead? Would love a week in Greece

We have just Lifted and Shifted from March2021 to 2022 on a Japan Intensive. Never booked this far out before but seemed like a decent deal.
who knows what will happen but we can dream!

Not sure Phil but maybe the OP is referring to the Dubai to Athens on Journey on 26th April.
We too are meant to be on that cruise but as yet no decision by Azamara, although I don’t need a crystal ball to guess!vicki

I’ve just gone to the US site and the information is there it’s the U.K. site that’s not updated.
Dumb question but how do I access the USsite. No matter how I try (on my iPad) it reverts to U.K. Site
Thanks

Sorry to hijack the thread but on this theme can anyone tell me if Fevertree tonics are available on Silver Spirit?
Thank you

Just seen this thread and think I need several hours to digest and analyse, although I see several respected and knowledgeable contributors have posted their thoughts.
Another nail in the loyalty coffin!

Hell,
We are cruising next April on Azamara and are looking at the benefit of the indulgence package. Since we are LCV Discoverer plus we are wondering if it is worth it or if it's better for us to take the 20% off a bev package, just enjoy what the LCV discounts gives us (laundry, limited wi fi, etc...) and pay for the extras (chef's table, etc.). Anyone did the math? Is it worth it?
Thank you in advance,
One factor to consider is the length of the cruise. The packages are the same price no matter what the cruise length is. Therefore you would need to do the math on the cost of drinks package and full WiFi access, which on a longer cruise may be costly without a package.

Glad to hear that. Do you know how the mistake happened? Can we, as passengers do something to avoid this happening?
No adequate explanation was forthcoming. My advice is to obtain a copy of your final account from Guest Relations on the morning of debark if you are sailing on Pursuit because none are delivered to you and the promised email version did not arrive until we were charged and spent two weeks trying to sort it out

I can now report finally we have had a refund processed and today it has appeared in our credit card statement online.
It certainly took some persistence and involved contacting multiple Azamara contacts by both email and telephone. , not always even receiving a response.
Thank you to all who offered advice and support
Festive greetings to all

Good news, glad all is now in order.
We too have the cheque from BA, but still awaiting the promised refund from Azamara.
Its only 3 days now so will wait until next week until we panic again on that one. Thank you for your help and have a very merry Christmas

Sorry to hear this. Maybe that explains the issues with difficulty contacting some UK support that I and others have experienced recently.
I know others have had invaluable help from the U.K. based team in the past.
I suppose it’s watch this space as the new team emerges
Vicki
Anybody onboard currently?

I love dancing post dinner but do you have to wear masks whilst on the dance floor? If so will need to get a few sparkly numbers!😉
