  1. Thank you Amy. on our last NCL cruise in February our adult son was turned away from LeBistro on the first night because he was wearing knee length shorts and his luggage hadn’t arrived. Rules are rules I guess. We just left quietly and ate where we could. We don’t normally wear shorts to any dinner. We always take dress pants, nice shirts etc. I just didn’t want to cause problems if we were out of dress code. Having good manners always fits. Like the old saying you are never fully dressed without a smile!
  2. We went on a March cruise out of Tampa once after going to Detroit Tigers Spring Training. I think there were 4 couples that weren’t college age. Still had a good time. Reminded us of the stupid things we did when we were that age. Never booked another March cruise….. In 20 years never had a bad cruise. Some experiences I don’t want to repeat but that is life. We just came back from Epic. For what we paid for the week with packages, etc we couldn’t have gone to one island. Which is why we started cruising originally. It’s still a great cost savings vacation.
  3. Thank you. I will make sure my gentlemen bring their jackets etc.
  4. Hi New to MSC and Yacht Club. Mostly cruise with NCL which is very casual. How dressed up do people get for YC dinners? It appears that there is a formal night - do men wear suits? We are fine with bringing suits, etc but if it’s not necessary would prefer not to. Thank you.
  5. We sailed on Epic when she was a new ship. Went again on the 2/26 and had a good time. The ship is very tired and we experienced many of the same issues. Booked the cruise for the itinerary and we had a great time. We are also Platinum and giving NCL a break for awhile.
  6. we were also on the February 26th sailing. We got to the port about 1130 and we were on board in 45 minutes (perhaps slightly less). There is nowhere to sit if you are not Haven and the majority of the line is outside. It could be a challenge if you have mobility issues.
  7. There is a machine in the casino you could use before you get off.
  8. We used it to go to San Juan. They flew us on Southwest and flight down was fine. Flight going home was not until 540 so we spent 6 hours in the airport. Cost of airfare was a quarter of what we would have paid on our own. Would just plan better for the late leaving time.
  9. We were just on the Epic and are Platinum. We were unable to get any reservations that were not done prior to embarkation. We also went to the restaurants and were told that we could come at 9 pm and they may be able to assist us. I was extremely disappointed and left without using all my specialty credits. And yes, we tried going right at opening.
  10. I had made a reservation with smart car. Thought the reservation looked odd but didn’t give credit card, etc so not too concerned. Got to Aruba and no Smart Car at the port. Ask one of the guys selling car rentals and he shows where to go. Stand in the lot for a few minutes and then ask one of the guys roaming around. You just missed him - he called for smart car. Yeah. Right. We were standing there we would have heard. Guy was “sure” they canceled our reservation. we ended up renting from whoever was there and paid 150 cash instead of 100 on the reservation. Also, was not happy there would be a 10% surcharge on credit card usage.
  11. It is included on Southwest, I checked when I called to purchase early check in.
  12. We are fine with ours also. Going Detroit to Chicago, Chicago to San Juan. Way home we are San Juan to Baltimore, Baltimore to Detroit. Our adult son who is on his own reservation received his assignment more than a month after us is non stop on Delta from Detroit to San Juan. We paid $500 something for both of us for air and the cheapest flights I could find were 1100/pp so quite the savings.
  13. I have read that the pigs are not well cared for. I don’t know if that is true but I choose to spend my dollars elsewhere.
  14. Yes, I received this email from them about an hour after I submitted my request. Thank you for contacting Norwegian Cruise Line. Your shareholder benefit request has been received. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to get back to you as soon as possible. Please note, due to the high volume of inquiries, our response may take up to 7 business days. We ask that you refrain from submitting multiple requests for the same concern, as it may cause further delays in providing you with a response. If you have not yet done so, please submit your most recent brokerage account statement, reflecting your ownership of at least 100 NCLH shares.
  15. Thank you. I feel like I looked through 100 old posts with no success.
  16. Hi can someone post the email for the shareholder benefit? Thanks!
  17. We are on the Epic 2/26. We are traveling with our adult son but he made his own reservation. Got our air before Christmas. We are Southwest from Detroit to Chicago. Chicago to San Juan. Son got his air yesterday - Delta direct from Detroit.
  18. I buy Christmas ornaments from each island if I can find hand made items. Have also bought inexpensive paintings, mugs etc. Not a huge shopper, but like to have items that are unique. Every year when we decorate the tree I love looking at all the ornaments and having good memories.
  19. We had a bunch in our attic that we disposed of. My husband loved these. Good memories!
  20. This is how the joy was when we left NYC for Bermuda in May.
  21. We did the Joy to Bermuda in May from NYC. Embarkation was an absolute disaster. We loved the ship. Spent a lot of time in the Observation Lounge. ‘’we had an aft cabin and it was lovely.
  22. Dorky shoes. I have decided over the years that I will coordinate as best as I can but I am never again sacrificing comfort for cuteness. Not only do you have all the walking on shore, most ships have a huge amount of walking.
