The Museum of Immigration is a Pier 21. Most cruise ships dock at Pier 21 or 22.

There is information about Lunenburg and area here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iTNvEXWfiMaXIyHRv82AgrNkthPFT0PzDzhZIr7qRgE/edit

More to the point is how tight the jeans are. I am of the school that looser pants (maybe even pressed!) are dressier and more flattering. They are at least as comfortable and cost no more.

The places mentioned would all be walkable. https://goo.gl/maps/DqPtb4kAJJD2

Our weather has been abnormally hot and humid for weeks. It may stress the trees which is not good for the fall colours. Oct. 8 would normally be the beginning of the peak time so you should see something.

If your port is actually Louisbourg and not Sydney (and being on the Fram it likely is), then yes Fortress Louisboug is the main attraction and because that is shoulder season you should consider taking the ship's tour as I read the Fortress has guides for these.

duplicate post, sorry

Here is information about Halifax and Sydney which may be useful to you:

I just copied this information into a document to share. The information is from a few years ago but most still applies.
I highly recommend renting a car and exploring. The document contains a map of a possible route.

If you really want to see Antarctica (and step on land) you need an expedition cruise.
https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g1-i12337-Antarctic_Adventures.html
http://www.traveltothepoles.com/ant-home.htm
Other than that the Hal cruise seems to spend more time in Antarctica. The Drake Passage takes more than a day depending upon the speed of the ship and the how rough the passage is. The Chilean Fjords will seem like nothing after what you see in Antactica but again Hal seems to have a better route.

There are a couple puffin tours in Cape Breton near Sydney:
And one from Peggy's Cove near Halifax. http://www.peggyscoveboattours.com/ but with some very poor reviews: https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g780595-d6650992-r599995897-Peggy_s_Cove_Boat_Tours-Peggy_s_Cove_Halifax_Region_Nova_Scotia.html

The second week of October is generally very good in Nova Scotia, but factors such as heat or drought can affect the intensity of the leaves.

Here is some information for cruise visitors to Halifax: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CmAW3Y2bHLSIFCkzvzOKt82xTYSPr0cuMoNob9JWb1U/edit?usp=sharing

This previous thread includes a map: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=55659663&highlight=Halifax+HOHO#post55659663
So the map indicates both bus routes stop at or near the pier.

You can definitely rent a car in Halifax and Sydney and some companies pick you up at the dock. Here are two informational documents for these ports:

There are people on Trip Advisor's Air Travel forum who have good knowledge of such things. Try posting there: https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g1-i10702-Air_Travel.html

Yes, you are best not to convert at all. Credit cards and ATMs are the way to go.

The only tour companies I have heard about are listed here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SHnC1bdaKtBLTr9bcJShb3a0escYZQKLWkZF4seT14I/edit

Thanks for this information which I have added to the documents for cruisers in Sydney and Halifax.

There are not often questions about St. John's here so local people may not see this. Try posting on the Trip Advisor forum for Newfoundland. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g154962-i754-Newfoundland_and_Labrador.html
You could also use the search feature there.

Likely what the ship will arrange for you would be a visa on arrival. That should be good enough but do ask Azamara.
https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowTopic-g293921-i8432-k10617090-FAQ_Visa_on_Arrival_VOA-Vietnam.html
We visited Vietnam on our own and got the visa at the airport. We loved our two nights in Halong Bay.

I thought about doing this but I worry about parking and how it is? I was worried there would be a lot of parrallel parking and I will be honest I don’t know how to bringing from Houston we dont have to parrallel Park.
You will not have to parallel park. You would be going outside the cities. There will be lots of easier parking.

I think it is because it is the weekend: https://www.enterprise.ca/en/help/faqs/pick-up.html

For Saint John you can rent a car or take an excursion to the St. Martin area to see the sea caves and experience the tides.

October is long past tourist season in PEI but the scenery will be gorgeous. The leaves should still be colourful. Perhaps post on the PEI Trip Advisor forum to see some suggestions. https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g155022-i619-Prince_Edward_Island.html
For sure I would recommend renting a car and driving around. Here is a document, a bit out of date, but still useful: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17qSn5ImpF6Q0vxzFPqKmx5zSOu-EkViKcYUPgCsiEzE/edit
