  1. When was it decided that an item on a chair “holds” that chair for an indefinite period? If you’re not really using the chair, it’s not “yours”.
  2. Hey Mods… Nearly 95% of this thread has absolutely NOTHING to do with cruising. May be time to lock it down??
  3. Look at Southern Atlantic crossing - Buenos Aires to Barcelona. Only 4 days at sea down there, and lots of interesting ports. We loved it!
  4. Nope. Fake news. Everyone on Viking is sophisticated, mature and considerate.
  5. New deal from NCL - Let us book your flights without any input from you! If you don’t care when you fly, where you fly through, how many stops you make or how long your layovers are, have we got a deal for you. Trust us, you’ll save money, although we can’t tell you what it will cost right now. 🙄🙏🥺🤬😮
  6. Good to see a lot of royalty is cruising on NCL these days! 😉😎
  7. So glad to see that, after 3 years, this thread has finally been able to reach some solid conclusions about products that we cannot legally take on a cruise. 🙄😴
  8. This time, we’re REALLY serious about enforcing this..no, REALLY!! 🙄
  9. It was an STD - Synchronized Drone Training !! 😎
  10. And shorts at dinner, or I’m super-duper titanium and they didn’t have a special line for me, or handling food on the buffet?? It’s a wonder anyone still cruises!! 😉😎
  11. Because unidentified pills in a baggy will cause the local authorities to pull you aside for at the least a search through a PDR to see what you’re carrying, and at worst more invasive searches of your body. Why disrupt your vacation for that kind of treatment?? You have no “right” to carry unidentified pills.
  12. Taxi fares are notoriously hard to find in print for Nassau ( except from the airport). You should agree on the fare before you get in. I’d offer $10 to Fish Fry, but it’s best if you ask 2 drivers a short distance apart, so they won’t hear the other’s quote. They park along Bay Street and stand by their cars. Nearly all are very pleasant people, unlike in the US.
  13. Here’s the most recent I could find, but the narrator is a bit of a Debbie Downer.
  14. You can use the restaurants but not the pool.
  15. We travelled to Africa and Brazil a few years ago with a Yellow Fever waiver.
  16. So glad this VERY dead horse was not turned to glue and can be ridden again, over and over and over… 🦄
  17. Our local hospital has a travel clinic. They carefully evaluate every country you visit for various risks, shots, etc. We only use them for the exotic ports, like Africa or South America.
  18. Believe you’re referring to Rawson’s Square. Straw Market is well to the right down Bay Street.
  19. From the ship, walk Bay Street for window shopping to the Straw Market. Then bus, cab or walk to Fish Fry for a local meal (try cracked conch). From FF, walk uphill to Ardastra gardens and zoo ( home of the parading flamingos), them - if time permits - take short walk to John Watling’s distillery. Take cab back to ship.
  20. The issue deals with what currency the crew would want. I’m assuming the passengers have pounds or euros in their wallet for the trip.
  21. If I’m sailing in Britain and Europe, why on earth would I want US dollars?? Pounds or Euros can be spent directly at full value. Dollars face conversion loss.
