  1. I have not been aboard in a few years but have done several cruises on Adventure out of San Juan as well as Ft. Lauderdale. She is a typical Voyager class ship and we have never had a poor experience on her. I would just comment that if you are big on entertainment don't expect anything close to Oasis class shows. The last time I was aboard it was still the same old tired RC Singers and Dancers shows that have been running since pretty much forever. As mentioned above, cruise fare included dining choices are somewhat limited but I have not found that to be a problem for me. I'm a WJ person. I have great memories from time spent aboard.
  2. I have no idea how that concept is lost on some or how it characterizes someone as cheap or the myriad other names that have been thrown around on the thread.
  3. I have not sailed Carnival and have no near plans to do so. Therefore, I have no need to read their board and I have nothing to contribute to it. I wish you nothing but great cruises with them.
  4. I wonder if Carnival stewards also have passengers interrogating them about their working conditions?
  5. I thought you were referring to something in the past but, then, I get confused on this thread frequently.😑
  6. No. It happened during the week. I ordered a drink and the bartender at Schooner said I was out of C&A vouchers when I knew that I had one more. Then I saw the charge from the Two70 bar on my app. I had not been there since the first day because I did not like the bartender there.
  7. They should stop lettings people just give their cabin number. On Odyssey I had a charge from a bar that I had never been to. I highly suspect someone gave any number except their own. Guest Services took care if it for me.
  8. Maybe that is how the officers like it. It looks like they made the effort without having to make much small talk with strangers.
  9. Apparently RCI has already forgotten who helped to keep them afloat when they first resumed cruising. They truly better hope the generation after us loves cruising as much as we do and that they are not a generation of one and done people.
  10. That is why the tread has moved on from tipping to food quality.🙂
  11. They already show up at the end of the cruise in cabins that pay the autograts.
  12. You think if everyone payed into the system RCI would not raise the gratuity rate?
  13. However, RCI is charging more up front, hundreds of dollars for cruises I've been watching, and the tipping continues anyway. I priced one cruise and the supplement alone for a refundable deposit was over $900. I just laughed and closed the browser.
