Interesting, thanks for your perspective. As far as disembarkment today, I did self assist. I left the cabin at 7:30 and was outside waiting for transportation to FLL at 7:45. It could not have been much smoother.

I am sitting on the plane to PVD and had to run to make it happen. I highly doubt my luggage will have the same luck. Eventually I guess my block and model will meet up. OMG I just saw my suitcase get loaded aboard. I need to say some payers of thanks tonight. AND.... it looks like I won't be taking my first Carnival cruise any time soon! Thank you all for following my trip.

Very rainy and not very nice weather in Ft. Lauderdale this morning. It is a better day to end rather than start a cruise. It has been a great week with perfect weather. Yesterday we sailed through a 15 or so minute down pour. The advantages of an enclosed solarium became very apparent. 🙂 Flying home on SW. Jet Blue did not have good flight times. I will miss their free internet access on the way home. It was fun contributing to the thread this week. Vacations are fun but I am looking forward to getting home... With a new crystal block and ship model. 🙂🙂 Thanks Odyssey for the great week and the new memories.

I am a huge O class fan thanks to the Aqua Theater. And I, too, prefer the Royal Promenade over the Royal Esplanade. However, activities on O class are much more weather dependent. Get some rain and it has a big affect on an O class ship. I had concerns about booking Odyssey. Dates and pricing factored into my decision to pull the trigger and I'm finding myself with no regrets. I have thoroughly enjoyed this ship. It definitely has some querky design issues with its choppiness but I can get past it. For someone like me who is a big Windjammer person, this ship wins big time in both functionality and food quality. I'm not sure why they put the Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's next to each other. On F class the separation helps break up the crowd of people. I will always be an O class fan but I would have no problem mixing up O class and Q class sailings. And I'm starting to think that I might prefer Odyssey to V/F class. I'm not yet sure about that. It has been a great week. No regrets. And I'd be happy to sail this ship again.
