  1. This happened to me just after covid. I had a lot of onboard credit and as we didn't know if we'd be able to do our own thing I'd book several discounted trips with our onboard credit. My move-up offer was excepted and then my on-board credit disappeared and email after email asking for money for my trips or I would lose them. It took me many 2 days on the phone until I eventually reached someone who could help me who reinstated my discounted trips and returned the lost onboard credit as well. I complained after as I was sent from pillar to post but no apology came my way! didn't put me off though
  2. You'd think that they were pricing themselves out of the market but I don't think they are. Ships are going out pretty full.
  3. I have just come of equinox after a fabulous cruise. I was going to write a review but someone beat me to it! I certainly noticed the decline in choice in the main dining room. 2 soups and 2 salads to start with and 1 other most nights but not what we've had in the past. Cubes of beef on the first Chic night which was delicious but as others have said no other beef on the main menu the whole week. Chicken/turkey every night and pasta. Your other options were a fish dish or pork - a couple of dishes they even repeated on a 9 night cruise. One night I had the seafood main course pasta for a starter - I hope they gave me a smaller portion as that would not have been and adult main meal. It did leave me disappointed but I thought the quality of what I actually did eat was good and our service was excellent. I also do feel like aqua and suite guests are where their business is heading with new cruisers commenting that it wasn't a nice feeling knowing that they have their own restaurants and retreat deck. I don't feel like this as if you're willing to pay why shouldn't you get the extra perks. I just hope it's not at the expense or what is probably 50% of their guests. We are loyal celebrity people. We like the perks of Elite (not sure we'll ever get higher!) we like the complete non smoking inside especially as we're casino users and I love the people, the crew and the guests! Other people on our cruise were talking about different lines that they've tried. Someone told me that the offering on their 1st cruise with Royal Caribbean was superior to their cruise on Celebrity. Other said the food on Virgin was the best they'd had but other things were not as good. Each persons experience is different except for once the MDR experience seems to be the same.
  4. I'm sure you don't know the answer - but how does this happen
  5. So you can just sign up to this website and you can have a free cruise? Am I confused?
  6. Has anyone done this trip from Celebrity. We have a few hours to spare! I think I've heard negative views but will wait and see!
  7. Hi. Sorry to ask again but did you go to any of the shows and what were they like or does anyone else know?
  8. Your review is fabulous - thank you. You haven't mentioned evening shows or entertainment. What's that like?
  9. Thank you. I will email you as I have a few more questions following your explanation!
  10. Our roll call wants to do a slot pull but none of us have organised one before just participated! If you've organised one before can you tell me: Do you have to ask the casino manager first? Will you have to use a specific machine? Do the machines take cash - if not, you collect the money from everybody and do what? Thanks in advance
  11. When I said I reckon that will go down after this weekend I meant the amount of rooms available. Not the cost!
  12. No it's not! If you go to the restaurant as you get on the ship you may be able to go on a waiting list or do select dining.
  13. Even with that many available it's still cheap! I reckon that will go down after this weekend!
  14. I use an agent in the US, if I want to change my cabin when another becomes available at the same cost I can just do that with no problems. Even if you get a move up and you don't like the location but see another room with the same category you can move. I'd be interest to know if this has changed and you can now do this in the UK. My advice would be, when you know what you want do some time consumer computer research!!!
  15. I also haven't seen the minimum change but $300 from interior to AQ is a bargain - well on my cruise anyway the difference in cost is an extra $3000 per person!
  16. I have often booked with a US TA and for my upcoming cruise I nearly didn't because I was getting more on board credit going direct with celebrity UK but with the Black Friday deals we ended up again going the US travel agent - cruise only and got extra on board credit. A couple of things you have to consider - we have a credit card that doesn't charge transaction fees for sending money abroad and not so much now but in the past and maybe in the future because of the exchange rate you get a better price. Even if it's a difference of $50 - that's your first few drinks on board! Also, you have to pay the full amount 3 months in advance whereas in the UK its not a long and the deposit here is lower.
  17. I don't believe 'included' is the right word. You are paying for it as the cost without it is about $800 less each. Sorry to be cynical
