When we sailed on Allure in October, they still had not started offering Blue Planet yet.

Off the coast of Puerto Rico about 2 hours from San Juan. Apparently the speed is affected largely by which landslide service that Starling connects with. We have gotten anywhere from 40 Mbps download to up to 150 Mbps in a mater of a few minutes depending on which service provider Starlink connects with:
Which ship is this?

If you had Surf, those are the typical/normal speed numbers, though the ping is higher (worse) than normal.
It was Surf and Stream.

On Allure this past week it was showing $3.50 on my Diamond receipts.
That’s what it showed for ours on Mariner last week. So, $4.13 after gratuity.

We too had horrible internet on Mariner. So bad it couldn’t do a speed test, it would crap out without completing.
In the past we had had great luck on Harmony and we sail on her December 31st. I’m hoping my live review will go much easier in a few weeks, than my one on Mariner.

I was never able to keep a signal more than a couple of hours. I finally gave up after many trips to the Voom person. We are going on Harmony in January.
We were on Mariner last week and the internet was horrid despite it saying Starlink. And to add insult injury, the cruise director kept touting how great Starlink was. Maybe they only had it turned on for the crew?- 1

Thank you both! We’ll keep an eye out.

That’s be nice. The big ships can only go to certain ports. Need nice ships that are smaller for the rest of the ports. Can’t wait to see what the are.

Just wondering if there is there a suite entrance at Terminal 5?

Graham seems quite popular...is he still working as a CD?
Sadly, no. He was THE best. He even did his own Late Night Adult Comedy show. Hysterical! Very interactive morning show. Different way of doing Love and Marriage. Just very entertaining.

We were looking at the below excursion as we will be traveling right after Thanksgiving & looking for something more "off the beaten path" so not really any scuba diving or boat rides but rather something to do with local culture. Here is the description from Royal Caribbean on this excursion we can book through the cruise line: Cozumel- A Traditional Christmas(El Cedral)
Embrace the festive spirit of Christmas in Mexico with a four-hour celebration that includes a traditional posada procession around town, plus a feast of local Yucatecan snacks typically eaten during the holiday season. The experience begins in El Cedral, home to the oldest settlement on Cozumel Island, dating to 800 A.D. where you will visit the island's first church and a small Mayan ruin nearby before setting out on foot as part of a Christmas-inspired parade that reenacts the day Jesus was born. The tradition dates back some 400 years, and today you'll take part as you sing along to holiday carols and take a swing at a candy-filled pinata. Then indulge in a Christmas feast of Yucatecan favorites — sweet bread, tamales, fried codzito rolls, and pumpkin seed salsa will tantalize your taste buds. You'll always remember the holiday festivities with a souvenir pinata to take home.
Just wondering if you ended up doing this excursion. If so, how was it?

Meh. No thanks. I like to see the ocean from a quiet space on a deck when I’m sailing. Much like Oasis class ships, it doesn’t look like there will be such spaces on Icon.

Yes it is. You cam check the times it’ll be open on the app.

There is shopping at the port, but it is limited. You would have to take a taxi downtown to get to the better shopping.

Can’t you just buy the lower price and cancel when the issue is fixed?
No. The system recognizes you already have it booked and doesn’t let you book more than one per person.

Look up Celebrity Infinite Verandah. You can find some videos which will help you. I’ve never sailed in one, but it doesn’t seem like it would be good…I would think it would make the whole cabin hot…and eventually moldy…

Horrible! They are worse in my opinion than they used to be. We normally sail in Jr. Suite after sailing many years in balconies. We just treated ourselves to an Owner’s Suite on Allure, which was supposed to have “a luxury pillow top” mattress. It did not. My back has never felt worse.

Here's an excerpt from my review:
We had an 8:30 p.m. reservation at Samba Grill (which is Solarium Bistro during the day). This was a very disappointing meal for a number of reasons. They sat us in a corner right beside the solarium glass, and it was unbearably hot. The temperature was easily in the 80s even though this is an air-conditioned venue. We were so uncomfortable that we asked to move after we had finished our salads and appetizers, which they obliged, but things just went downhill from there.
You get your own salads and cold appetizers from the buffet area, but they are pre-plated for the most part and were very good. Trays of hot appetizers are brought to the table, as are trays of hot veggies and a basket of small heavy dough things that I guess were supposed to be rolls. We didn’t care for the dough things.
A gaucho comes around with different meats on large skewers and slices them at your table. For some items, you use tongs to grab the meat as he cuts it. It’s a fun concept, but none of our meat was tasty. They had asked us how we liked our beef. DH said medium rare for him, and I said medium for me, and nothing that was served to us had any pink in it whatsoever. It was all well done and dry. Additionally, we sat for over 20 minutes without cocktail refills or water refills.
The manager came over at some point and apologized about originally seating us in the hot area. She said it is a constant problem, but she had no reason for why they still seat people there when they know it’s a constant problem. Our server commented on all of the uneaten food on our plates, as did the gaucho, and they offered to try again. We declined. I did have dessert, which is again pre-plated at the buffet, but the servers get them and deliver them to the table. Overall, this restaurant was a huge disappointment, and we were happy that we used a D+ BOGO offer instead of paying full price.
Wow! Very sorry to hear all that. Our experience was the exact opposite. Everything was cooked perfectly.

Just sailed on Allure last month. We were in a suite and are Diamond. Bupkis for anything on the bow, sadly.

There is. It is small though maybe only 4 or 5 tables. The suite lunch is not what it used to be either. A bit of a let down IMO.
HUGE let down IMO. We sailed on Allure at the beginning of this month and it was the IDENTICAL menu as what was being served at the other buffets. The only difference was that someone handed us our plates and utensils…

Default welcome beverage is water. I think the default D+/P amenity is nothing.
Thanks! We’ll finally be + after our next cruise and I wanted to make sure so I could be prepared when the time comes. 😬

Does anyone know what the “default” gift is for people who never make a choice?
