Anyone else get a great deal on a Voyager of the Seas 8 night cruise? For our January 19th, 2024 cruise it is only $1420 for our balcony room. That price is total for the 2 of us.

We’re looking at those sailings. Question for you…did you book on Royal’s site or somewhere else?  I’ve been trying to do some mock bookings on Royal’s site and always get an error when I click on Select Date.

Just booked an 8 night in 2024 through my TA.  Still having issues?  Maybe it's browser related?

Sorry.  I should have specified. It’s the 8 nt Eastern sailings. I’ve tried two different browsers on my ipad, my phone, and my computer. Cleared everything before starting and get this no matter which date I pick. I was able to get into the 8 nt Southern. Just not the Easterns. I will end up booking through my TA, but I like to do a mock booking before I do.

I just got off Mariner yesterday (6/13) and had a junior suite for three (stateroom 7394).  My brother and his family were next door in 7694.  Both our couches were blue.

How did you find those rooms? We are looking at those on Voyager and we are used to being on Deck 10. Did you ever notice smoke from the crew area?  Any excessive noise?

Yes, at the forward entrance near Sorrentos. Ends up by the Bar

The Freedom Class had two staircases down to the Casino from the Promenade. One was down in the middle and the other is/was over by the Cafe. The one by the Cafe would dump you off in the Photo Gallery. I’ve not been on Indy since they put Playmakers in, but looking at the deck plans, they used the Photo Gallery and the aft entrance into the Casino which had a couple tables to make the restaurant.  So, they took the stairs out and just made it a hole in the Promenade.

    I can’t believe I know something you don’t. 🤭

Did you tell your taxi/uber driver to take you to Port Liberty???

Cape Liberty is the name of the cruiseport in Bayonne. There is no Port Liberty though using it only serves to confuse as Port Liberte in Jersey City does exist.

Smoother if cruisers knew the difference.

My Floridian in-laws couldn’t understand why their cab driver didn’t know where “BAY-on-eeeee” was. I just sat there and laughed and laughed. The people who grew saying things like “Okeechobee” and “Kissimmee” correctly couldn’t say Bayonne.

    Thanks, good point.

Plans are to take my tea ball infuser to the Windjammer at breakfast and steep using their hot water. Discard the used leaves from the infuser into a napkin or a to-go cup and toss as normal buffet trash. No worse than disposing a tea bag.

But you're right, I might want to enjoy  a cup on the balcony for which I'll need to employ a mindful disposal plan. (That is, if I didn't get denied boarding for contraband! 🙂

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this.

How about disposable tea bags instead of the ball?  There are quite a number on Amazon or at your local tea shop. I like the ones that have a string that cinches the top closed. I prefer the larger bags so the tea had ample room to expand inside the bag. Very easy to dispose of and less mess since it keeps the leaves contained.

Sorry but it is so annoying when I hear people say "do it when the kids are older".  Fact is, you make memories as a family. The memory of taking my little ones over the years to attractions and cruises are just as important to me, wife, grandparents and money well spent. That being said,  there are several things to do in the local area. The zoo is top notch, space center, Andretti theme park, putt putt, go carts, shopping, world famous beach, surf shop and pier, multiple museums...however if you really have to go to a theme park, Sea World is the closest and easy on/easy off 528 (road which leads into the port).  Please just understand traffic can be an issue in the event of an accident and 528 does not have many escape alternate routes. For the record, I am local and drive it everyday.

All of this. For people who don’t think kids remember things when they are younger, I remember things from when I was two years old and beyond. So,  kids remember!

528 can be absolutely horrendous if there is an accident. So can I-4 or 417, depending on which way the bus goes to WDW. August is a very hot, humid, and rainy time in FL. The crowds at WDW have been terrible for quite a while now with no end in sight. 100% not worth doing a tour when it is that short of a timeframe.

We were on Allure for 22 days in Jan and Feb. and ate in  Chops  and enjoyed  more than coastal.  Nancy & Bob

We are sailing in a suite later in the year on Allure. Just looking for clarification…Chops has breakfast?  Is it just for suite guests or anyone? That would be more convenient for us because we decided to book an Owner’s Suite on one of the lower decks because we wanted the jumbo balcony. Chops would be closer than CK.
