  1. Yes, a bit longer. This is the gap between sofa and bed.

1388 nothing like as good. Triangular shaped, large overhang and only a metal door with a small window instead of a double glass patio door.

Thank you! Looking forward to my cruise even more now. Enjoy the rest of yours! [emoji3]

1390. It's wider than the cabin and very deep. That shows up on the deck plans.

Two loungers, two upright chairs, small table and a larger table in the corner that you can't see.

Just started raining. Was lovely and sunny 10 minutes ago.

It IS our cabin! Thank you so much! And is the cabin any longer than a normal balcony room?

  3. We are two doors away. Great position!

We will be in an aft balcony on our upcoming Navigator cruise on the same deck you are on. I know you said two doors away from 1394. I wonder if you are in our stateroom. Would you mind posting a picture or two of your balcony? (As long as there is no scraping going on...how frustrating!)

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your cruise! :D

Question about the dress code...we reached Diamond on our last trip, so we haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the DL yet. I understand during cocktail hour that we should be dressed in our dinner clothes. But what about just to get a coffee at another time of the day? I see it says "Smart Casual", but so do a lot of the C&A events we have been to and we've seen LOTS of regular vacation clothes/shorts being worn. My husband always has a cup of the free coffee from the Promenade in his hand when we are onboard, so I see him visiting the DL a lot for coffee (if the machine is working...), but only if he's allowed in with his regular shorts and t-shirt...

  5. We are next sailing in December of this year and our dining still isn't available to book. So, you've got some time. We can, however, book some excursions for our fall trip next year. I noticed not all of the typical excursions are available yet. Just keep checking from time to time. Join your roll call if you haven't yet. Normally, you'll see others talking about it when the various things open for booking.

  6. You know I am haha! I tried to go to the homecoming event earlier this year but, I'm a passholder too, and I still live in Florida, so I felt a little weird about paying $200 for dinner and bowling. Maybe next time.

Great to see another alumni on CC! :)

I dragged my husband to it. :) I had just gotten some extra money from work and I took it as a sign to go. Lol! It was ok for their first time. I think it'll be better in the future...I'll look for you over on the Association page so we aren't hijacking this thread with WDWCP talk that no one else understands. Lol!

  7. Thats great! I love the monorail. When did you work there? I did the college program a million years ago, back in 2004. I worked in Epcot, I was one of the flag shirts.

They brainwashed me and I have loved Disney ever since. 😁

WDWCP Alumni here, too!!! I did two programs a million and five years ago in 1999 and 2000. I stayed on as a CT after that until 2004 when I went full time at Access Control. Sadly, we moved to my husband's hometown and I couldn't get a job with the DVC here. But, we're still annual passholders. I've been brainwashed, too. I hope you are member of the Alumni Association...

  8. Lol! I'm a former castmember so it kills me too. What I've learned is that the grand majority of people have no idea what the difference is. 😱

Me too! You might be able to guess where looking at my name and picture. :D And the number of people who call the MK "Disney World".

  9. I never had a probelm with the ship water until we went on the Allure. I swelled like crazy on that ship. Halfway through the trip, I started drinking bottled water only and the swelling went away. Went back to ship water on the last day and swelled right back up. So, it was the water and not the food. We will be bringing spring water with us on our future trips. I would pay RCL if they had a sane water package like Carnival.

  10. Just had to refresh my mind, and looked back at some of my older posts, and it was the Freedom that had the fire up by the scrubbers last July. Interesting that they are still working on it.

I was JUST thinking that. We sailed on the Freedom in August and they were installing the scrubbers. Kind of shocked that they aren't finished yet.

  11. Was in Allure last week and on formal nights people were in shorts, baseball caps, t-shirts. Probably a 30/70 super casual to formal ratio of guests.

Yup. I saw shorts in the MDR on both formal nights and all the other nights on the Allure.

Wear what makes you comfy. It's your vacation!

  12. So, while we enjoyed the food, we both felt like service in the MDR was just average. Now we did do anytime dining and that very well could have been why, but we felt that this was an area that could be improved upon.

We were on the same sailing and also did My Time Dining. We had a standing 5:30 reservation every night. We had a GREAT team of servers. I guess it just depends on who your waiter is and what kind of mood they are in. We were in and out each night in less than an hour and 20 minutes. Our food was always perfect (except the first formal night prime rib. But that wasn't the waiter's fault. He didn't raise the cow! Lol!). And he always brought an extra entree for us to share even though we didn't order one. I'm sorry you didn't get the same kind of outstanding service!
